My complaint was (I believe it was the manager) we were told everyone that was not being helped needed to go outside and wait. I get this whole pandemic thing going on. However, EVERY customer was keeping distance and wearing mask. Now on this day it was 96 degrees out with a feel of 105. One of the guest just mentioned it was hot out, and this employees I can only assume was the manager was rude to him. His response was "Well CDC says 10 people or less so I don't understand what the complaint is for". I get Hertz has a business to run, but if there is room for 6ft apart and the customers are wearing mask and being aware of one another then maybe you should give a little. And for sure not give customers attitude.

Waiting in line we noticed them making quiet comments to one another, only to find out, they had no vehicles. When asked how we should proceed, the upstanding customer service employee said, you could wait hours, but it could be days. As we scrambled to line up our next plan, we received a call from Hertz- from the man at the desk in front of us, telling us they didn't have a car available. Avoid at all costs- rent elsewhere.

When I say that I couldn't be happier - I mean it. From the moment that it was noticed, front line employees took the initiative to involve management. Management quickly stepped up and fixed everything. Few things are perfect, things just happen. You have to acknowledge and respect when there is a culture of "excellence without excuse". Kyle () and the team are doing an excellent job! Here's to another successful rental, a happy family and a holiday/birthday weekend well spent.

A lot has changed around the airport, but National continues to deliver the same dependable experience that made me a fan in the first place. Tampa has shifted all rental cars to a separate facility that you reach by shuttle train. The ride takes about five minutes, it runs smoothly, and in the handful of times I have used it, I have never had a delay or a hiccup. It is an easy, predictable part of the arrival routine. National is simple to find, and as an Emerald Aisle member, I still get to bypass the counter and head straight to the garage. I used to be Executive, but I am regular Emerald now, which means choosing from a slightly lower tier. That was not a problem today. For this visit, I specifically wanted a minivan and had my pick of at least a dozen, walking right past a row of SUVs and sedans to get the most boring and generic one with a Florida tag. Exiting the facility and heading to downtown was just as smooth. A friendly agent checked my ID, waved me through, and I was on the road within moments. The van itself was spotless, had fewer than 2000 miles, and ran without a single issue for the entire week. Returning the car was equally straightforward. The signage is clear, the lanes are well marked, and the whole process moves quickly. I had the email with my final receipt before I even stepped back onto the train to the terminal. National at Tampa continues to be a reliable choice for me, and I expect to keep renting from them whenever I fly through TPA. [Review 44 of 2026 - 2228 in Florida - 25234 overall]

Sixt Rent A Car - Mercedes low tire pressure

Shaniqua, the agent, was professional, very friendly, and helpful. She offered a no-charge upgrade from a Toyota to a Mercedes. The low tire pressure alarm light was on, and this is the report. I returned the rental vehicle in Tampa without having been involved in any accident or incident whatsoever during my rental. When I dropped the vehicle off, there was a gentleman outside cutting grass. I handed the keys directly to a female employee with a pixie haircut. She did not come outside to inspect the vehicle with me at all. Instead, she was focused on my hair and braids, asking questions about them and talking about wanting to have her own hair done similarly. I left without anyone inspecting the vehicle in my presence, pointing out damage, or raising any concern about the condition of the vehicle. I was therefore shocked when SIXT subsequently presented me with a damage claim for over $3,000. I immediately disputed the claim because I did not cause this damage. For approximately two weeks, I have been trying to get a meaningful response from the Claims Department. I have called and emailed repeatedly. I have even sent screenshots documenting my attempts to contact them to customer service today and still nothing.. I finally managed to reach someone on Tuesday, only to find the interaction extremely dismissive. I was told that they had reduced the claim by approximately $300, and this was presented as though I should somehow be pleased with that outcome. Reducing an amount does not address the fundamental issue: I am disputing responsibility for the damage altogether. I was not involved in an accident. Customer Service today has also been of little assistance. Their response has essentially been that I must deal with Claims, and they continue to give me the Claims Department number. That is the same number I have been calling repeatedly without being able to get meaningful assistance. I have also been emailing Claims throughout the week without resolution. At this point, even the payment link they previously sent me has expired, while I am still trying to get someone to properly address my dispute. The entire experience feels completely unacceptable and, from my perspective, raises serious concerns about the legitimacy and fairness of the damage-claim process. I am being asked to pay thousands of dollars for damage I maintain I did not cause, while the department responsible for the claim is extraordinarily difficult to reach and has not provided satisfactory answers to my questions. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone renting from SIXT to photograph and video every part of the vehicle at both pickup and return and insist that an employee inspect the vehicle in your presence before you leave. I certainly wish I had done so. What should have been a straightforward rental for 18 hours has turned into weeks of calls, emails, unanswered correspondence and frustration over a damage claim that I firmly dispute.

Carwiz Car Rental - This is how the car was given to me after I was scammed out of the additional fees. Obviously, they wouldn't refund and I had to accept it.
