They plugged in a washing machine that was specifically stated to not work and not be included in the sale of the home, and attempted to get it running, then LEFT it on when they left the house, so I came home to a broken washer making loud grinding noises and rocking back and forth (had been left this way for several days.) And the kicker is that the guy tracked mud all over my house AND used my bathroom and left the toilet seat up! (During the radon test installation - not during the inspection - he should not have even been in the bathroom let alone leaving the SEAT up. Yuck.) I ended up losing my buyer because of this guy's incompetent inspection.

He was top notch to deal with and was there when the State Farm adjuster showed up for the inspection. He coordinated everything about the re-roofing and was there on Saturday all day until the crew was finished. We walked the site and all work was excellent when completed, with attention to details such as 50 year shingles, top end roof vents adding ice and water around the vents and up beyond eves, clean up including tarps to check debris. He inspected the sub roof on both house and detached garage. He arranged for all materials delivered to site and the dumpster to haul out debris. My tenant complained about the roofing crew dropping a bundle of shingles on the roof and leaving a few nails (I believe it woke him up, but he was informed of the activity ahead of time). I am the owner and the landlord. Matthew and his crew were totally professional throughout the process, including one roofing member hopping into action after I open the garage doors and he saw some chips on the floor; immediately took action and blew it out. I have extensive experience in construction both with extensive home remodels myself, contractors building 2 of my homes and doing roofing jobs myself. I am now in the process of working with Mathew Hogan and Experienced Builders to re-side the same house and garage. I do not typically write reviews, but because my tenant gave a poor review and his feelings, I felt compiled to set the record straight. I am giving Experienced Builders and Mathew Hogan a 5 star review.

Starting with the bid process, Dimitri showed up on time, was respectful, and spent the time he needed to measure and clearly document the project. After the proposal was ready, he stopped by and went through every item in detail - the work breakdown for demolition, carpentry, plumbing, tile work, and other optional labor work. Everything was clearly spelled out, and Dmitri answered all of our questions. Our project lasted three weeks. He was on time every day - not a minute late. He would always spend a few minutes every morning going through his plan for the day, reviewing any change requests, and answering questions. The path to the work area was covered and taped with tarps; every single item that needed to be preserved was wrapped and taped with plastic. Entrances to the nearby bedrooms were covered (and the plastic was removed at the end of each day). The mirror and the vanity in the bathroom were properly protected. We were very impressed with his attention to detail. The quality of Dimitri's work was superb. As he was laying down the tiles, he took the time to make sure no tiles with repeating patterns were next to each other, and made sure the tiles were from the same lot. He inspected the new bathtub for defects. He was very conscious about how the project work would inconvenience us (we are all working from home) and he made sure we had plenty of advance notice before the water needed to be shut off for plumbing work. As part of the project, he also took hundreds of pictures to document the process. It was somewhat cheaper, but more importantly, I think it addressed the water concerns a bit more holistically. Team that came out to do the implementation was fast, cleaned up the original problem, cleaned up their stuff on the way out. Final cost was exact to the amount estimated. Whole process took about 8 days from request for estimate to completion. Services done: replace standard size gutter on one place with wider gutter, replace caps with a newer model that should be better at keeping out pine needles; redirect one spout away from house; reattach and cover a higher gutter; etc.

I was a service/product quality consultant for years so know how to examine a provider. This company is passing soon to Lowell's son. I'm hoping it maintains the high standards Lowell has held to.
