We used Everest at the recommendation of our relator. Now we have lived in our house for one month, and found out we have a major water leak that is going to cost thousands that they didnt catch. This a pre- existing leak that has been happening for a long time, well before we even looked at the house. Wow.. if you value your future and money, STAY AWAY!! Like I'm not kidding. This guy needs a new line of business - he ruined our lives! I really don't like to hurt peoples businesses, but he does not belong in this service, so I'm doing you and the universe a HUGE favor! We WILL be reporting him to the consumer agency and Attorney General. We went strictly off reviews but found them to be false. What Andy did was refund us and asked us to remove the negative feedback, but we never left it in the first place so now we can leave it for the first time. Oops Andy, all the buying off didn't work this time! Don't be thrown off by his fake niceness. Don't forget, It's YOUR money - HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU ! He's only out a few hundred when you will be out thousands upon thousands!! We are currently in arbitration because our entire future is gone due to trusting EVEREST INSPECTIONS and ANDY! He did a horrible inspection and missed SO much the first time, so after moving in and seeing some of the little things, we called him to tell him and he offered to come out out for a second inspection. We thought "wow, how nice of him!". He apologized for the horrible job he did the first time.. he didn't really do much the second inspection accept blamed our buyers agent and stated the sellers intentionally covered things up (which they did). But when we asked for written proof, he denied he never stated that to our agent!! Also, just to get the work he said "yes no problem I can do a sewage scope" he did our entire inspection only to tell me he didn't know how!! COME ON!! When I say he ruined our lives, like it's no joke.. we are "older" (40s) first time home buyers and got TAKEN because he missed so much! He made everything seem very tiny which was relayed to our agent, now months in we are wondering what did he really inspect? Mold, broken gutters, crumbling decks with NO PERMITS, bad flooring under what he thought was the professionally laid carpet but when ACTUALLY inspected by us, it was just laid carpet over broken, water damaged and painted flooring. ALSO BEWARE! He won't lift a finger to look behind or under anything like rugs that look like carpet or even a picture on the wall!! All I can do is warn you. If there are any negative comments about this post, it's most likely Everest themselves - I'm telling you to be careful. It's 6am and I haven't slept in 5 months while he's sleeping peacefully with a full belly!! Do yourself a favor and stay away. Ignore the other reviews because they were most likely paid for. Again, we lost our entire future relying on this "expert". It's SHOCKING he's in business, told blatant lies to our agent and us. I pray for anyone who hires him.. Uhh read more

These guys are amazing! Tyler inspected our home and made us feel so good about the biggest purchase of our life thus far. He was extremely thorough, checked every outlet, ran every appliance, got up on the roof, in the attic, etc. You name it, he did it. They also are very quick at responding, setting up times, etc. It was part of our offer that we would have the inspection completed within 4 days of purchase and they were able to do that no problem. Their timing was also very flexible. Tyler, was not only extremely knowledgeable and helpful but really personable and excited to answer our first-time home buyer questions. Everest home inspectors is the Best! Andy did an excellent job and was very thorough. He walked me through the entire house answered any and all questions I had and also made great recommendations. I felt very comfortable through the entire process and couldn't be happier with services I received. They also send you a report with pictures of all the issues discussed during the inspection so you don't forget anything. I was on the fence if I wanted to pay the extra money to do an inspection for a new build, but I am beyond grateful that I decided to work with Andy Geckler at Everest Home Inspectors. I decided to do the 3 inspections - pre-insulation, pre-drywall, and final. Andy exceeded my expectations with his detailed reports including pictures, great communication, and finding issues that should have been caught by my builder's inspector. I was surprised that Andy found my insulation that I paid extra for in my garage attic was not consistently insulated with R-38 and after multiple emails with the builder and Andy....it was determined by the builder that 90% of my attic has R-38, but the rest must have been pulled apart so they could finish the ceiling and the sub 38 batts were the ones around the attic access. This would have never been caught if I hadn't hired Andy. I was also surprised that Andy found shiners "exposed nails" and the shingles need to be replaced. If it wasn't for Andy and his thoroughness things would have been missed. I am so thankful I paid for the extra inspections and went with Everest Home Inspectors, LLC. We learned about Andy and his company through our realtor. Andy was very approachable in regards to scheduling. We only had very few days left to get all the inspections for our home purchase done. Andy made sure that we have the Radon testing setup prior to his initial inspection as well as the sewer inspection. At the day of the home inspection, we met with Andy and his assistant Tyler on site. Both of them are very kind and very knowledgeable. The inspection itself took about 4 hours. My wife and I were there the entire time and we could tell that they really know what they are doing. After the inspection we walked through every single room of the house. Andy and Tyler mentioned all the items that are good or need attention and they noticed things that we would have never seen.. Furthermore they explained what we would need to do or how things can be fixed. Even after the inspection they took their time to sit down with us to listen to all our questions and thoughts and also gave great advice on how to approach projects. He explained that a lot of things can be repaired versus replaced. You for sure won't find many people nowadays that go that route. We will for sure recommend them to all our friends that are planning on buying a house and will surely hire them again for another home purchase. read more
