No such luck, when the engine died just outside Windsor, we were able to glide off the 401 to a field. This is 9 pm Saturday night of a long weekend. We lucked out and called First Response Towing. The phone was answered quickly for a long weekend. Gabriel was kind and very helpful. He was able to send a flatbed out to retrieve the car that night, store it in his facility overnight, then pick us 2 up in the morning so we could get ourselves and the car to London the next day. Everything he said was going to happen , did so. The car was safe and properly loaded and secured. The driver was courteous and knowledgeable, picked us up in the morning in Windsor and delivered us and the car to London easily the next day. It was a relief to have it all done professionally, and reasonably priced considering the current extremes in fuel prices, long weekend after 9, and taking us to London. George and I agreed on a price and arranged a pick up time. After agreeing on the contract John calls back and tells me he is charging a dry run fee of $150 because he went to pick up the vehicle and it was not payed for. Are you kidding me? Shouldn't a driver, "who has years of experience" as they say, know to call the pick up location before driving out to pick up the vehicle, to call the customer and tell them there are more fees, to at least stick around at the pick up location and work with the customer knowing that this business always has many types of situations. The driver instead leaves immediately, calls no one and decides to cheat extra money from his customer. The worst part is I decided to pay the dry run fee and call it even, but then John disclosed he will now charge more money for each hour he waits around. What! Unfair and scandalous way to treat a paying customer. Paying top dollar of 650$ to move a vehicle 35 miles and this is what happens.

I let them do the job, they said it would take a week, it took them 3 weeks, then when I was ready to pay the guy tells me $4200. I paid, they said they would be finished up that evening, I asked could they bring to my house, no problem, tow truck comes but my truck in yard, don't knock on door or nothing, just so happen I saw him, I'm like where's the keys, in the truck, this man in such a rush. I say where's the hub caps to the wheels, he look he say on front seat, so you can't put everything back like it was. I drove it it seem fine, brakes work, but they emptied the gas didn't even replace it, I mean zero drop, I don't think I could go to the gas station, I had to call AAA. This place sucks and a rip off! Don't go here ever! Don't even get gas there!
