Usually, buying a car is, at best, an annoying process, and at worst, a freaking nightmare (especially for women). This place made it effortless. I didn't feel tense at all. Over the last few years, they've even helped me find the best places to go for other car-related stuff like tires, paint & body, mechanical, etc. (I had a tiny car accident, unfortunately, but my car is fine now). She called me first thing Monday morning via 3-way call with someone from Ford to get the information. I went back after work, signed some papers and walked out with a check 30 mins later. I considered Carvana, but Thiscar came in a few hundred dollars more than Carvana. It also helped that the location is 5 mins from my front door.

I made the mistake of listening. My $21550 price out the door turned into almost $28,000. This included a crazy expensive extended warranty and $580 for an extra key?? They told me the car only came with one. Then somehow another one appeared but it will cost extra! Typical used car games. I made the mistake of signing. But went back the next day and called it all off. Thankfully they agreed and honored my original deal. Now for the condition of the car. I asked about their inspection and basic maintenance. They told me they always do a very thorough inspection. The car was pretty dirty when they showed it to me. Asked them to clean it, including engine bay. At pick up it looked decent. Engine bay still Covered with leaves and dust. One might think the detailer might have hit it with compressed air at minimum. Maybe I am too picky?! But this is what else I found: Stopped at Autozone and had battery tested. It failed. Was four years old. Bought new battery. Tires were over inflated by 10psi and mostly worn out except for one. New tires on order. Engine air filter K&N but completely black and clogged with dust. Again easy fix but they did not bother. Cabin air filter had so many leaves in it, it looked like a bird best. Also easy fix. Nope, ThisCar failed here again. Spark plugs were fried. Totally black and burned up. Obviously not even looked at. They said they did an oil change. At that point I did not trust them. Assumed cheapest oil and filter if done at all. Had it done with Mobile One. The lot has lots of shiny cars. Sales people are nice enough. But their detailers and basic maintenance people do not know what they are doing, don't care, or are told to do the absolute minimum. "Just make it look good. " Would I look here again? Maybe. Recommend show up with your own financing and warranty. Bring a mechanic to go over the basics. Or be ready to do all the basics yourself, because ThisCar does not. A bit disappointed. But what can you expect from a used car dealer. They might have the potential to do better. But it takes a bit more effort. I think you would be better off buying from a private party. Just takes more looking around.

There was an issue with the car, the very next day, and they stepped up and helped to take care of it. I really appreciated that. In all fairness, the catalytic converter just happened to show a check engine light the day after the sale. Your salesman told me that they had limited shop techs there and didn't have time. The real problem is not only did it have a low tire, but it also has a bad TPMS sensor on the wheel. He knew this and did not want to tell me. I would have appreciated a bit more honesty. The guy knew I was buying this car for my son. But yet, he let us drive off from your lot with a low tire and a bad TPMS sensor. They are only $60. What's $60 for someone's safety. Especially a VALUED CUSTOMERS safety. Or a teen drivers safety. Is this behavior just your one salesman or is this the way Northside treats all of its customers. The salesman's name was Donnie. Just to clarify. After totaling a great car, I had shopped Internet and other dealers, but when the others were curt…read moreabout how much I had to spend not being enough to purchase anything decent. I just knew to wait. I happened by VMC and pulled in and hoped. I had to wait to recieve actual funds, however I was welcomed by a knowledgeable female sales person who encouraged me to return after I received payoff. Two weeks later, I was met by the GM, Brod Mophet, who had just received the perfect car for me, from a repeat customer. In less time than it takes me to grocery shop, I had inspected, driven and purchased the vehicle, which was in really good condition. Mr. Mophet, realizing my dilemma, made the deal work for me, plus called original owner to check on a concern I had discovered in research. The owner let him know about something he should check. Well, still within the next few minutes, he agreed to take care of concerns and asked if I wouldn't mind giving him time to make things just right FOR WHAT I HAD! There was none of the "No, This is an 'as is sale' for your funds." Or, comments like, "Come see me when you're serious, no way your getting a car like you had for that amount", or completely ignoring me as a well known used car resource had done. He knew I was in a bind, and all that seemed to matter to Brod was getting that gorgeous car ready for me. He could have sent me away, tried to flip me into a car I couldn't afford, or charged more than I had. He did not. As we were leaving, I was so thankful that in an hour and 45 minutes, including everything. I was on my way. Truly this dealership is concerned about their clients having a 'victory', as well as making a sale. Victory Motor Cars where clients are the winners. Highly recommended over competition. Go back often. New pre-owned cars come in daily. I posted my picture, which I never do, because I'm not an employee, I'm relating a real experience.
