This is a good place. The staff is courteous and generally tries to answer questions. I would have liked a little more effort on the part of the clerks to answer questions I had about products but there's only so much they can do. What I really appreciate is that I bought a product and it stopped working soon after I bought it. I came in the next day and wanted an exchange. The clerk said that they were not allowed to process exchanges, they called the manager and verified, and told me to come back. I thought this was a line of BS, a delay tactic. I was not able to come back the same day, but I called the next day, the manager answered and said he would be in. I came in, the manger inspected the product, asked me some questions and processed my exchange. The manager was real chill. We verified that the exchanged item worked and I left satisfied, no BS. This was the second time they treated me like the Police and asked me if I was a lawyer for the second time while actually having to be in Pasadena for court. I respect the Vetting process for the vapes. But, being reverse profiled?! My second time visiting this place both times asked if I was a lawyer as well as a marine the first time. Some of the bad reviews mention flavored vapes and legal stuff, but think "modern-day prohibition." They're not shady; they're just thorough. Once you're a regular, you'll get a member card that keeps things smooth. The owner's chill, and Yami and Ariana are awesome--friendly, helpful, and happy to chat when it's not busy. Prices are fair and the vibe is genuinely welcoming. I used to go in for vapes, but now I'm comfortable enough to ask questions and try new things. Last time I will be visiting this place. One, their prices are a bit high compared to other places where I get my flavored vapes, plus this place charges tax as well. Seems like they like to collect from front and back, squeeze every penny. Two, I was charged $7 for 20oz. Dole High Concentrated Strawberry Lemonade drink, the worker made it seem like it was a "special drink and a scarce resource." I was thirsty, and didn't want to stop anywhere else so I bought the drink, didn't bother putting back on the shelf. Brother, not sure where you get your products from, but here's a tip, order those "DOLE HIGH CONCENTRATED" drinks of yours from Amazon, you can get a 12 pack of 20oz same product for less than $30. I bought a Flum Pebble vape pen and it was stuffy. Not to mention this shop are selling them for $32 cash only when other shops have them for $20-$25. Not to mention the female that was working there tested it after I advised I wasn't happy with the way it was hitting. She claimed it was fine to her, but I'm the one who spent money and wasn't happy. I drove all the way to this shop to purchase a vape and left upset. Bought some cheap glass from this shop. One of the pieces was so poorly made that it was impossible to draw from. Went back in the store and dude behind the counter said there's nothing he can do. Seems like maybe him replacing a $5 glass piece and retaining a repeat customer would've been better than me posting this review. Guess some people have to be told that the customer matters more than $5 Maybe try standing behind the products you sell instead of basically tricking me into buying garbage glass. You can examine a piece all you want, but won't know a thing until you actually try it. Enjoy that $5. This place used to be cool when I first moved to Pasadena a few years ago. The owner is great however I'm unsure on who's hiring the staff here but as of lately all the staff are horrible! I always see a friend lingering around with whatever female employee is working at the time, Customer service and the prices are so terrible now. (the owner is the only one with great customer service) Employees act as if they are on something.. Not friendly what so ever and this last visit the employee had me waiting as I just came in for a pack of cigarettes and I stood there waiting to order as I watched her socialize with a friend who has walked into the shop seconds after me. She attended to her friend before helping a paying customer. No customer service or professionalism. It seems like this a "hang out" spot when the owner isn't around. I hope he is made aware of this. Opens 15 minutes late every time I have come in the morning. A good portion of their inventory is cash only, while their ATM Fee can reach $7 to withdrawal money, and doesn't dispense bills lower than $10 (meaning you will end up taking $30+ out for no reason) .... total scam, you will end up spending double your money and double your time. I am a regular at this smoke shop it's upsetting they do not show courtesy towards frequent customers. I recommend going elsewhere for disposable nicotine at the least. read more
