These people are dishonest and will take your money. They do half the job and charge full price. My truck broke down 6 months after they did what they did. I took my truck to a reputable shop. I then found out that top tech didn't do the work i was charged. They replaced injectors but didn't clean the fuel tank or fuel line. They did not change the fuel filter. Thats why the injectors stopped working after on 6 months and 15k later. The new shop did the full job and got me on the road for 7 thousand less. Stay away from these dishonest people. They have always treated me fairly, respectfully, and honestly. I drive an import, and repairs can get very expensive. I usually research the issue before I go in, so I have an idea of what's wrong and a ballpark price in mind for parts and labor. Top Tech's pricing is always very competitive, often two to three times less than what the dealership would charge for the exact same service. The quality of their work is excellent, and they stand behind it. My first experience five years ago sealed the deal for me: a speed sensor went out, which put my car into limp mode. Every other shop I called didn't want to touch it. They didn't believe me that it was just a speed sensor issue and were convinced it was the transmission. Their solution was to tow it to the dealership. Thankfully, my tow truck driver asked if I had tried Top Tech. He called them, explained my situation, and they didn't hesitate. They jumped right on it, confirmed the issue, and gave me a fair estimate for both parts and labor. That repair alone saved me hundreds compared to the dealership price plus a long tow. Since then, I've been a loyal customer. Oil changes, brakes, water pump, serpentine belt, squeaking pulley and all required maintenance, Top Tech does it all. They always provide an estimate before starting work and stick to it. They never try to upsell me or take advantage. Their staff is polite, respectful, and professional. Great customer service and friendly staff here. I needed a front end alignment for my truck after buying new tires at Discount Tire. Discount Tire only sells tires as they don't do front end alignments. But, they gave me a coupon and recommended this place. I called them on the phone and they made an appointment for me. $1500 to replace a water pump on a ford 302 small block. since I was out of town I had to buy my own tools and a new pump for $57 bucks did the job my self. I was still charged over an hour labor $140 just for a diagnostic fee after I told them what the issue was. I Would not recommend. read more

I took my Jeep in for overheating. They sold me $1,000 part, and it still over heated three times driving to Chattanooga. Cooling module and radiator cap. They then charged me $300 for a thermostat. My Jeep blew cold air while heat was on, and they continually stated it only blew hot air. Paid a Jeep enthusiast to replace the thermostat and everything worked fine after that. I am from out of town and did not have my tools with me or I would have completed the simple repair myself. When I had my car towed to Top Tech, I was provided an estimate of over $300.00! I have replaced ignition switches before and I was shocked on how high the estimate was. I quickly called the couple of local parts places to find out the part cost $40.00. Top Tech charged me $70.00 for the part. I then looked on how to change the part on you tube. It takes about 30 minutes, six screws and one plug. That's all. When I asked why it was so expensive for such a simple repair, I was told that they used the standard labor rate.......at dealer ship rates! I called another local garage to get a second estimate. They gave me a quote to make the repair for $100.00 including the part! I called Top Tech back and told them that I was just going to have my car towed somewhere else. They said that I owed them $89.00 for a diagnostic fee. Another screw the customer fee! Yes, they are listed with AAA and the Better Business Bureau but that basically means that they pay a fee to have their business listed. They claim to have a satisfaction guarantee but that means absolutely nothing. While they did get my car in and repaired in a timely manner, they are the absolute most expensive place to get your car repaired. I would never take my car back to Top Tech Automotive. When I picked up my car, they told me that I needed new spark plugs and wires. They would do it for me for $600.00! That is to change six spark plugs and wires! Another thirty minute job that anyone can do! I can't believe that this place is still in business. If you want to pay the over pay on your automotive repair bills, then I highly recommend them. If you want to have your car repaired efficiently at a much lower cost, then I would recommend that you go anywhere else. Finally, when I did pick up my car, they were unable to provide a copy of my receipt. They also did not return the old part, so as far as I know, they just cleaned the contacts on the old one.
