After spending many frustrating hours in my garage trying to install trailer brakes myself, I…read morefinally decided to call a professional. It was the best decision I could have made. I needed free-backing drum brakes installed on my boat trailer, along with all the wiring. My trailer originally didn't have brakes, and I thought it would be a simple project--but I was completely wrong. I found this company on Google, gave them a call, and just three days later they came out to do the installation. My first impression was excellent. They were friendly, professional, and even cracked a few jokes while explaining exactly what they were going to do and how long the job would take. Their work truck was clean, they were well-organized, and all three technicians were professional and respectful. I left them working in my garage while I went to work, and when I came home a few hours later, everything was finished. The installation was outstanding. My garage was spotless, the brake system looked professionally installed, and all the wiring was neatly hidden inside the trailer frame instead of hanging underneath. The attention to detail really stood out. I've already put a few hundred miles on the trailer and launched my boat several times, and everything has worked flawlessly. I highly recommend them for any trailer brake installation or trailer repair. I'm extremely happy with the quality of their work. Thank you!

I hadn't done it before, so I asked if I could hang out, watch and learn so I at least know what's going on inside there. Well my wheels didn't have nearly enough grease from the factory so it's good I had them come by, they replaced bearings and adjusted brakes, I'm confident in their work and know I'm safe on the road. Legit the kindest people you could ask for, thorough and know their stuff. I ask questions, they can answer them and explain what they're looking at and looking for. There's a reason their reviews are great, this is who you want to take care of your vehicles.

I had a long running ghost in the machine issue with my 2018 Prius C affecting a bunch of electrical systems. The rearview camera would get static, or wouldn't turn on at all but the audio source controls on the same display would sometimes work when the rearview camera didn't. Other times neither would work and still other times both would work perfectly. Sometimes the car wouldn't shift into reverse or drive on the first try, but other times it would shift into gear right away. My regular shop didn't handle electrical issues and the electrical place the recommended didn't service EVs, and the dealership wanted to keep the car for hours. So, I brought the car to Maras at EV Car Repair - he made time for me before he left on vacation and he diagnosed and fixed everything quickly while I waited for $80 + the cost of the part. They also work really late which makes getting your car fixed even easier. He was open until midnight the day I went so I didn't have to rush back after my trip to AutoZone. I cannot recommend them enough!

Buyer paid for a pre purchase inspection and the mechanic tried to sell her his own cars instead…read more This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a mechanic. We brought our Prius here so the potential buyer could pay for a pre purchase mechanical inspection and hybrid battery inspection. The results were actually very positive. The mechanic confirmed the car was in excellent condition and that the hybrid battery was in great shape. For context, our asking price for the vehicle was below the recommended Kelley Blue Book value, which is the standard reference most people use when pricing used vehicles. However, instead of sticking to the inspection we paid for, the mechanic (a tall, very thin man working there) inserted himself into the price negotiation between us and the buyer. He asked what we were selling the car for and then told the buyer we were "way overcharging" and that he could find the same car for a third of the price. He even made the ridiculous claim that for the price of our Prius you could buy a Tesla Model 3, which is simply not accurate for comparable vehicles and only added confusion for the buyer. That is completely inappropriate. We paid for a professional inspection, not for him to sabotage a private sale. What made this even worse is that after undermining the sale, he began promoting vehicles from his own shop to the buyer. At that point it became obvious there was a serious conflict of interest. The same person being paid to inspect our vehicle was actively steering the buyer away from it and toward cars he had available. The shop itself also had numerous partially disassembled vehicles and EVs scattered throughout the property, which only made the situation feel even more questionable given what had just happened. Because of his interference, the buyer became nervous and ultimately backed out of the purchase. A mechanic's job during a pre purchase inspection is simple: report on the condition of the vehicle. It is not their role to interfere in negotiations or push their own vehicles on the buyer. If you are considering bringing a vehicle here for a pre purchase inspection, be aware of this behavior. What should have been a neutral inspection turned into a mechanic actively interfering with a private sale for his own benefit. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.

When I arrived, my motorhome was spotless, but when I left, it was scratched, the steps were damaged, and the services promised were not completed. Grease stains were everywhere inside. And to top it off, they blocked my attempts to leave a review, only showing positive feedback and hiding all the negative experiences. Do not, I repeat, do not trust the owner of this business.

Roxanne greeted me kindly and informed me that I would need to return later for Allen to inspect the RV. I provided her with the make and model of my RV and asked for a general price range for the services. About an hour later, Roxanne called back and said I would need to bring in the RV and leave it overnight for a $200 inspection. I explained that I am a full-time RV'er, and she scheduled me for an 8 AM appointment the next day. I agreed. Shortly after, Allen called me and said he could only provide an estimate after inspecting the vehicle. While I understood his approach, I simply asked if he could provide a general pricing structure for those specific replacements. His response? "Are you stupid?!" I was shocked by the unprofessionalism. I calmly replied, "Excuse me, sir, please show some respect. I haven't disrespected you; I am just asking for your standard pricing for this service." He then yelled, "You don't tell me how to run my business!" At that point, I decided to take my business elsewhere. If this is how he treats potential customers, I can only imagine the level of care and respect given to their vehicles. To inform others, I've attached the phone conversation as proof. After checking their Google reviews--where they hold a 3-star rating--I realized I should have done my research beforehand. To any future customers, I highly recommend checking reviews and researching businesses before entrusting them with your vehicle.

What other tire shop opens at 7 in da morning to get you safely en route to work or wherever???…read more BIG O Tires in Long Beach on the corner of PCH & Orange Avenue, that's who! Today we brought in our Honda because the front left tire (driver side) kept triggering our TPMS light on the dash and come to find out a huge nail/screw was just resting in-between the threads causing the leak to set off our TPMS light. Hubby said that Big O Tires is the one who services our tires and that's where we pointed our compass. Upon arrival, Adam, the manager at Big O Tires was professional and stated that he could repair the tire and in no time flat (pun intentionally intended) he was on the tire, handled the Bizness and off we rolled to our next venture! Everyone at this location is always on point, always willing to help and always professional! Thanks Adam and the Big O Tire team, we appreciate all that you do!!!

I came in at 3pm and he told me it will take three hours to change my tire because they were fully booked when as you can see in the photos there's only four of us and two came after me. As I asked for the price he gave me three different prices and he asked me to sign the receipt with no questions asked. I asked him what was on the receipt and he told me I can take my business somewhere else if I have so many questions for him. I asked the other staff member for advice and she told me she has nothing to say because he's the boss. So I agreed to sign and continue business with him and he told me not to look at him, I was so baffled. I had to keep my mouth closed because I needed the service because I couldn't drive my car anymore. He had no compassion and was using his authority to intimidate me, telling me not to look at him while we're having a conversation. If I wasn't desperate for service I would and never will do any business with this company let alone this location.. I'm highly disappointed on the service I've felt with today.
