Manuel was very cool about letting us know that it was a $5 flat fee to our hotel, but if we wanted to stop by the liquor store as we'd requested, then he'd have to run the meter. We were of course fine with that, and appreciated his honesty. For the next several days, we called him whenever we needed a ride to the training camp, the salsa festival, various restaurants, bars, etc., and he was the epitome of customer service. He showed up exactly when he said he would, was courteous, gave us info about Oxnard (we'd never been there before), found some tourist pamphlet stuff for us, recommended restaurants and nicely warned us away from one we wanted to try but he knew had a really horrible rep with the health dept. Pegasus was recommended to us by a local hotel (for wedding guest transport), and all of the Google reviews are glowing! However, right from the start, customer service seemed to be severely lacking. I requested a quote online on Monday (immediately received an automated email acknowledging my request and indicating that I would receive a response "very soon"). I waited until Wednesday - after not receiving any communication, I followed up via email (the email they have listed on their site). Waited until Friday. Still nothing. I called first thing in the morning on Friday, but apparently while their hours are 6am-5pm, their Sales Team does not start until 8am. No biggie. The lady on the phone took down my name and number and told me that someone would give me a call before 9am. (side note: I did not mention my 2 previous requests... simply approached it like a brand new inquiry) 11:30am rolled around - nothing. So I called again - this time I did mention that I had called in the morning and didn't receive a call back. I finally got through to someone on the Sales Team, and she gave me her email address (I believe this was her direct email address, as it is not the same as the one listed on their website) and told me what information she needs me to include in my email. I emailed her all of the information within minutes of hanging up the phone. I received a proposal about 3.5hrs later, reviewed it and found that it did not take into account the details I had provided. I replied to the quote within 20 minutes of receiving it, requesting a quote with the details I had already provided. Today is now Thursday of the following week, and I've not received any response or updated quote. I've decided to book with another transit provider. Update: it's now Tuesday of the next week and I've finally received an updated quote. 2025 Update: I received a phone call from Pegasus in the second week of March 2025 inquiring if I was still interested in their services. lol

According to her, "he is kind, thoughtful and friendly. He arrived on time exactly as planned and was especially good at communicating". When we were making arrangements on the phone, Scott offered to accompany her inside the terminal during drop off, and to wait for her at baggage claim during pick up. Ours was a brand new 2026 Chevy suburban fully loaded and it was a pleasure to drive. It made the trip so enjoyable. I can't recommend Dollar car rental in Ventura on Main Street enough.
