If I hadn't been eating here over the weekend, I would never have known this shopping center rivals the best of the best on the West Coast! It is huge and has all the upscale stores I love including Bulgari, Celine, Ferragamo, Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, Prada, Maje, Sandro, St. John, just to name a few! There are dozens more. I cannot imagine a broader range because there are also my old standbys like Macy's and H&M. There is even a Target, for heaven's sake. The interior of the mall is spacious with soaring ceilings that flood it with light. There is extensive parking and there are all kinds of activities and refreshment venues, for dining indoors and out. The kids will love it, your picky teenage girl will be thrilled, and you will be bathed in the luxury of hours of window shopping, for free. What more could we ask?

La La Land Cafe and the ice cream spot are our usual go-to places. Lately, the construction has taken away from the experience a bit, but I am hopeful that once it is finished, things will be even better. I just hope the updates are thoughtful and not simply focused on adding more retail, especially in place of something like the movie theater. It would be great to see additions that truly serve and reflect the community. For example, a fountain with a water show, similar to what you see at the Grove or Americana, would be a strong starting point. People and families already feel overwhelmed by the number of shops, and adding more does not necessarily improve the experience. Take Century City Mall as an example. After its remodel (many years ago) added many more stores, I personally stopped going. As someone who works in marketing, I know the first priority is getting people to visit. If visitors lose interest, as I did with Century City, then adding more shops defeats the purpose. I really hope they do not lose sight of what makes the place special. It would be a shame if short-term decisions ended up hurting the atmosphere that people enjoy.

I pointed to the food, pick up sign in front of my spot and he said that that sign does not apply to the spot I was in and then pointed to a sign further away, saying that you need to pay to park for 90 minutes. I have never paid to park here! I will definitely not be returning to patronize any of the business here going forward!

This venue is missing common sense Update: It's getting worse - instead of putting more umbrellas they installed these mist machines that don't make the environment cooler but they make it more humid - the majority of chairs get wet. Securities walking around but never control people riding bikes and e scooters. People often start smoking cigarettes and nobody gives them any warming. The restaurants around are ok for the most part and the area gets crowded on weekends. They don't even bother to claim this business on Yelp lol which shows a lot. The great area that could have been managed better. Great area. The only outdoor area worth going to in the Valley imho. The only downside is people start smoking cigarettes and securities don't do anything about it. Plus they dont have enough outdoor umbrellas so its hard to stay for a long time under the burning sun

The energy was contagious. People were everywhere, the shops felt relevant, and there was a sense that something was always happening. Returning recently felt a bit like running into an old friend you barely recognized. Maybe this is simply the fate of the modern shopping district. Online retail changed everything, and malls across America have been fighting a losing battle for years. Whatever the cause, the Promenade feels like it's missing its heartbeat. Storefronts sit empty, foot traffic feels sparse, and what was once a lively destination now feels more like a collection of memories. That's not to say there aren't still pockets of life here and there. The location remains excellent, and you can still catch glimpses of what made this place special. But those moments are fleeting. More than anything, a visit to Third Street Promenade feels nostalgic. Not because of what it is today, but because of what it used to be. It's hard not to walk away wishing you could have experienced it in its prime.

You could spend the entire day here with an array of shops (some of them experiential), restaurants and even a movie theater. The center is well maintained and curated with purpose. The stores are hopping and no doubt these are some important doors representing a slice of global retail brought to you in a beautiful, modern environment. The hybrid indoor/ outdoor feel is very chic and the landscaping and surrounding architecture is atmospheric. It is no wonder that on any given day you will find influencers filming to document their latest finds. There are both luxury as well as mass market retailers and everything in between. Whether you choose a sit-down restaurant or a food court pick, you will have an incredible array of options to choose from. The restroom facilities are also great. They are climate controlled and clean. Love the walls that completely partition the stalls from one another and give you a sense of privacy. The only things I found off-putting about Westfield Century City was the obnoxiously expensive parking and the hopelessly dull pop music that was being piped in throughout the center. It really diminished the ambiance. It's too loud and was very distracting. I don't mind music in public places, but if you are able to lure respectable brands like this center does, please have some finesse and taste about what you play. I feel like the music would have been the same if I had gone to a kids trampoline park.
