They feature places like Balenciaga, Prada, Gucci, and Boss, and have shops like Honey Birdette and Laderach chocolates. The mall is really beautiful with a lot of indoor lighting and is mostly two levels, but has a movie theater on a third level. We did not make it to the village across the street, but it is supposed to be really nice as well. This is a top mall in SoCal and worth checking out even if you just want to get some exercise and shop. We ate at the massis kabob for lunch. Great gyros plates. I believe the main food court is being renovated and some of the eateries closed, but like I mentioned earlier they added an additional food court. Very impressive mall. 5 star mall all the way.

Lately, the construction has taken away from the experience a bit, but I am hopeful that once it is finished, things will be even better. I just hope the updates are thoughtful and not simply focused on adding more retail, especially in place of something like the movie theater. It would be great to see additions that truly serve and reflect the community. For example, a fountain with a water show, similar to what you see at the Grove or Americana, would be a strong starting point. People and families already feel overwhelmed by the number of shops, and adding more does not necessarily improve the experience. Take Century City Mall as an example. After its remodel (many years ago) added many more stores, I personally stopped going. As someone who works in marketing, I know the first priority is getting people to visit. If visitors lose interest, as I did with Century City, then adding more shops defeats the purpose. I really hope they do not lose sight of what makes the place special. It would be a shame if short-term decisions ended up hurting the atmosphere that people enjoy.

There are quite a few fun outdoor features like a ping pong table, an oversized Connect Four board, a playground and sandbox for kids, and lots of outdoor seating. On a nice day it's fun to just come and people watch. There's also a Whole Foods with a really nice hot bar and olive bar if you want a cheaper food option for lunch. Gets pretty busy on the weekend and parking can be a challenge. There have been times that we've had to park across the street before. Worth a visit while in Malibu.

But they just need to find a way to attract good businesses and give them rent that justifies keeping them around, growing a customer base that will come back and then spill in to the other businesses there. All the pieces to a great outdoor shopping center in the West Valley. they just need to figure out how to get them all to come together.

Apparently the Los Angeles City Council has approved an urbanization project called Promenade 2035 to redevelop the Warner Center area (including this plaza) in Woodland Hills. [Parking]: The 1st hour = free and 1 - 1.5 hours = $2. After the 1st 90 minutes, the rate is $1 for every additional 30-minute increment with $14 daily maximum after 5+ hours. [Retails]: There aren't exactly any great anchor retailers here besides the neighboring Costco. While the Village has over 60 shops and restaurants, most of the businesses already have multiple other locations (e.g. Paper Source, Alfred Coffee, Sur La Table, REI, Eureka!, Tender Greens, etc.). [Atmosphere]: The plaza has a nice children's playground and a koi pond with certain areas spraying water mist. I will say it has a nice 1st date coffee vibe with (1) one hour of free parking, (2) Alfred Coffee, (3) modern-vibe plaza to walk around with Costco just across from Alfred Coffee, and (4) Westfield Topanga just across the street. [Conclusion]: This plaza reminds me of The Point in El Segundo but with a slightly nicer vibe. At its current stage, this plaza has nothing to write home about and the adjacent Westfield Topanga simply has more anchor retail stores worth visiting.

Din Tai Fung and Cheesecake on the top floor which is great but other than that... let's hope for more stores in the future.

There are also places to eat like Din Tai Fung and Cheesecake Factory. The Cayton Children's Museum is a fun entertainment option for kids. Santa Monica Place is three levels and has a L.A. Metro Rail stop nearby.

The three blocks that once use to be bustling with people is like somewhat a ghost town. You still have a few scattered shops here and there and some restaurants, but majority is empty. Even with them trying to incorporate alcohol onto the strip to encourage people to shop and visit, it doesn't seem to work. It's still pretty quiet with loads of empty spaces. Some stores have survived but at least 60 to 70 percent have vanished. It's not the same third street promenade I remember. Don't get me wrong, people still come but it's not the same hustling crowd as it once was. They still have the farmers market which I think is still one of the better one. Amazing fresh produce to choose from. You do get loads of the chefs coming for their weekly fresh produce as well as the locals. At least that's still a positive for the area. Besides that, they'll still get holiday makers visiting and walking the blvd. But the experience, won't be the same. Hopefully it'll come through and be the nice spot if once was. One can hope.

There should be security in the corridor, especially given that it is right next to an outlet to riverside drive. The prices are expensive too if ya make a day here. Very few places validate.

Gorgeous day today and oddly there wasn't a crowd...could be because everyone was ducking down cold beverages inside a restaurant. Plenty of parking today so maybe everyone was at the beach. Anyway, it was a great family day. Funny we talk every day but when we get together it's like we have seen or heard from each other in a year. Gabbing and grubbing was lots of fun today. You can walk all around The Shoppes but you can also hop aboard the trolley, which is probably a great thing on the hot days. Target and a handful of spa like establishments so one could easily do a Target run, get a mani/pedi, lunch and treat afterwards and make a day of it. Nice change of scenery for those of us in the South Bay.

I know you can get your parking validate at the places you visited but I don't know how long. I parked across the street to avoid any issues and walked to the place I was grabbing food at. I saw this market has Blue Bottle Coffee, Lodge Bread Company, Van Leewen Ice Cream and other places. Some of the parking spaces can be a little tight so just be aware.
