Looks like there are lots of changes coming on, residential area will be done 2027 and whatever is going on in the center of the parking lot will be done in the Fall 2026 according to their sign. I think this will totally be a happening place. I hope they won't start charging for parking.

Gorgeous shopping center with tons to see but the worst connection lol. I always have bad phone connection out here for some reason so checking in can be difficult lol! They have lots of food and stores out in this plaza. Even just walking around can be really peaceful and relaxing. They have a grocery store as well. The plaza itself can get really busy and parking can be difficult but still a great place overall. IG: @ammysalamii

My experiences have improved since the Kids' Club events and seeing how much the kids enjoy the live turtle and koi pond. Nice way for families to get out on a weeknight. Hi Ho Cheeseburger and Kazu Nori are also rolling in, which makes for better dining options though the outdoor mall is still a bit dated decor-wise (less modern feeling vs Sportmen's Lodge in Studio City).

My valley alternative to Palisades Village. Alliteration loving, Calabasas Commons. It is another thoughtfully designed, aesthetically pleasing yet functional Caruso shopping center... sigh. I just adore his developments. Yes this is a shameless plug. Thank you Caruso for beautifying our cities! It's because of the details he puts into them like the cypress lined parking lot with the thoughtful pedestrian path. Yes, please! The fountain with the turtles is a kid magnet. They adore it and look on with such eagerness and enthusiasm! It's so cute. I couldn't resist walking the bridge myself and looking on. We've shopped the Ralph's here which is the most pristine (& possibly largest?) Ralph's I've ever visited. Shopped a few of the stores such as Sees, and dined at Toscanova, Le Pain Quotidian, Porta Via. The ambiance feels good. It feels pedestrian focused because it is. The connection behind Cafe Marmalade connects to the local library I discovered. Who knew? What a thoughtful community connect. You feel miles away from ugly Ventura Blvd. even though you are a stones throw. It's a breath of fresh air coming here and it has plenty of wonderful eateries to satiate your appetite.

    Turtles run over and dead.

I encountered two dead turtles, run over I believe because of Caruso placing them in an area very close to a large intersection. I asked them to do something about it last week but nothing has been done yet. In fact, it seems like they've moved more turtles to that area, such that more are likely to die.

Cute place to come and relax. I've never visited Calabasas but I've heard the common is def a place to visit when here. It's a shopping center that has a European feel to it I felt like I stepped into Italy.

A popular shopping area in Calabasas! Go to see the turtles. Yes turtles! There's a bunch in a pond near SugarFish sushi. Has one of the nicest Barnes & Nobles I've seen! And the added amenity (or not depending who you are) are Tesla Superchargers in the parking lot. A nice area to hang out while people watching the Calabasas locals! 5 stars!

Beautiful shopping area in Calabasas with a variety of restaurants, retail and specialty shops. Stopped at Marmalade for breakfast. Nice, clean and good food. Lalaland Kind Cafe is a must visit as well. Nice outdoor area with ponds and turtles as well as cute, whimsical statues. Great place to enjoy some sun and relax

Before our Rotary Club meeting with the District Governor, I had a few glorious minutes to explore The Commons in Calabasas which is slated for some significant changes. Created as a European style mall, this open air U shaped collection has fountains, statues and turtles which make this space nicer than most any other shopping/restaurant space in Los Angeles County.

Open - air mall that offers shopping, dining, and entertainment in the evening and weekends. I used to work in Hidden Hills and this is my clients playground. We come here to dine, watch a movie or browse the retail stores. It is a classy and elegant place. It gets busy but you'll always find a parking spot. This place is good for family and groups.

Meets expectations. It's not a whole lot more above the run of the mill plaza/mall. But you'll enjoy the scene and have fun.

The mall is really beautiful with a lot of indoor lighting and is mostly two levels, but has a movie theater on a third level. We did not make it to the village across the street, but it is supposed to be really nice as well. This is a top mall in SoCal and worth checking out even if you just want to get some exercise and shop. We ate at the massis kabob for lunch. Great gyros plates. I believe the main food court is being renovated and some of the eateries closed, but like I mentioned earlier they added an additional food court. Very impressive mall. 5 star mall all the way.

I feel like most people come here for Costco, and then maybe just walk around. There just isn't enough there to draw its own crowds. All of that is to say, I really wish this place had more of a draw. It's a beautiful space that is maintained very well. There's plenty of parking (though it is paid which is a shame) and it's a great location. I want this place to succeed and be a draw. But they just need to find a way to attract good businesses and give them rent that justifies keeping them around, growing a customer base that will come back and then spill in to the other businesses there. All the pieces to a great outdoor shopping center in the West Valley. they just need to figure out how to get them all to come together.

[Parking]: The 1st hour = free and 1 - 1.5 hours = $2. After the 1st 90 minutes, the rate is $1 for every additional 30-minute increment with $14 daily maximum after 5+ hours. [Retails]: There aren't exactly any great anchor retailers here besides the neighboring Costco. While the Village has over 60 shops and restaurants, most of the businesses already have multiple other locations (e.g. Paper Source, Alfred Coffee, Sur La Table, REI, Eureka!, Tender Greens, etc.). [Atmosphere]: The plaza has a nice children's playground and a koi pond with certain areas spraying water mist. I will say it has a nice 1st date coffee vibe with (1) one hour of free parking, (2) Alfred Coffee, (3) modern-vibe plaza to walk around with Costco just across from Alfred Coffee, and (4) Westfield Topanga just across the street. [Conclusion]: This plaza reminds me of The Point in El Segundo but with a slightly nicer vibe. At its current stage, this plaza has nothing to write home about and the adjacent Westfield Topanga simply has more anchor retail stores worth visiting.
