I think most people know the Topgolf concept, so I'm not going to go into that. The food is pretty decent, above your average Dave and Busters or Main Event, but not the greatest. My family and I had a bunch of highs during our time but also a bunch of lows, which is why I'm giving an average review. When we first got there, the ladies at the entrance were incredibly nice. We waited all of two seconds to get a bay. Once we got to the bay, no one came over to instruct us how to start or get a new membership for our other family members. I eventually figured it out on my own which wasn't a big deal. A guy then came over and got our drink order. Another person came and said they were our waitress so she'd take our order. When I told her a guy came and took our drink order she said "okay, I'll go get it from him because I'm for your bay" we never saw either one of them again. After 30 mins I ended up going to find someone else to get us waters instead of the drinks we had originally wanted. We didn't even get the chance to order food. Another downside was that I felt like the social distancing was not up to par. Kids, and even adults were crossing barriers between bays, no one had a mask on besides our family. I felt so bad for the people that worked there. I feel like masks should be required if you're NOT at your bay. We ended up leaving because of service and we did not feel safe. I think every other bay should have been filled up, not every single one of them. With that being said, we did genuinely have a good time playing the games. It was a different experience for us and we do want to go back in the future to give this place a second chance. I wholeheartedly believe though that if you're nervous about covid and exposure do NOT go here but do not let that deter you away from potentially going later on. Prices are fair, I loved that they offered a military discount as well as a discount for my mom who's a nurse. Like I said, we had a very mixed experience. Top golf has always been a good place and affordable when you go on the half price days. We normally get drinks when we go and this time decided to get food. The drinks and food were great but when the check came there was a bunch of extra taxes on top of the regular tax. There was a food tax, a beer tax, a beverage tax(for soda), all on top of the regular tax. At that point I wish they would just raise the price of their menu items. We will most likely go again but definitely will not be getting food or drinks. read more

This was my first time here so I had no idea how things worked. As soon as you walk in a staff member will ask if you have reservations, if the answer is no you'll be directed to the counter. They ask a few questions and send you to the bay where you'll play. We weren't there more than a minute when the waiter showed up to answer any questions and to take our orders. Golf clubs are provided and there are several different types of games you can play. It was a lot of fun. They have food and drinks available too. I would definitely go again. read more

I would have given them one or two stars if we didn't have as much fun as we had. Let me break it down for you: If you plan on eating in the bar area before you head to the bays, be aware that there is no table service. We sat there for a while (only a few yards from the bar staff) and then realized you have to walk up to the bar to order food. No problem after we figured it out. The food was brought to the table and was literally dropped off with no interaction at all. Food was just "meh" (but expensive for what it was). Fries were VERY bland, burger was nothing special at all. Now it's time to hit the driving range - where do we go to get started? With no guidance at all, we found our way to the service counter on the first floor where we were asked "have you been here before?" My answer was "no" so I was expecting a description of what to do and where to go. Instead, I was told, "you have bay 231, take the elevator and then turn left." We got to the bay and it was confusing. I didn't know if I had to select the number of players and hours ahead of time, swipe my card or what. Luckily, our bay attendant showed up and explained it all to us. That's when I discovered that we could have had food, drinks, etc. delivered to the bay instead of the subpar experience we had downstairs. The bottom line is, we had LOT's of fun once everything got started, but it was confusing as a first time customer since no one explained things to us. read more

My coworkers set up an event here when we had Friday Summer Hours. This part here is absolutely NOT Topgolf's fault but it needs to be said. This place is a nightmare and a half to get to using Siri. Please do not use Siri to get to Topgolf because she will ask you to park in the middle of the Frontage Road. Wench. I actually had a breakdown because of it. My friend suggested switching to the Google Maps app, and I found it on the first try. So. I was going in with a very sour attitude. That all changed when I arrived and got settled. The most experience I have with golf in general is with Wii Sports, so this was new and exciting. I observed my friends and coworkers during the first round and took some neat video, and after I had two drinks I got recruited to be part of a team. In my inebriated stupor I agreed and I'm pretty sure I missed the ball more times than I can count--but I did score a few points! Our server was super cool but his shift ended in the middle of our time there. We all agreed to close out in order to tip him, and re-open our tabs. We liked him that much. After our reserved time ended, we went to the bottom floor and played pool. That was a nice cool down. The drinks were okay, about the average price you'd expect in an establishment like that. I had a coconut mojito and an old fashioned. The latter was slightly watered down but tasty nonetheless. The food was also okay. I had the hummus, which came with cucumber, picked carrot shavings, and pita. Again, my socks weren't knocked off. Standard establishment fare and all. Overall what sold this place for me was the atmosphere, the staff, and how much my mood turned around after a horrible time arriving. Now full disclosure, I didn't pay for them so of course I'm not going to critique it so hard. To start off let's begin with the ingredients that make it up! You've got a plethora of drunken beans, melted three-cheese blend, and topped with chimichurri drizzle and fresh jalapeños all on a bed of Tortilla chips. We opted for some grilled chicken on ours that made them way better in my opinion. On the side of the slab they provide them on it comes with pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream! All in all I gotta say I would definitely order them again on my own dime lol. read more

I've been to Top Golf a couple of times and have decided that your experience really depends on your company. I've had the best time when we were competing (even if we super sucked) rather than just hitting the ball to practice (because we super sucked). I've enjoyed being on the bottom floor versus the top floor. It's a lot safer to do a happy gilmore from the ground floor. Some foods I've had (+ for those that I would order again): - Top Golf tea - Mushi - Signature Nachos - Chicken and Waffles + Sunrise Burger - Zing Zang Bloody Mary (five of us got this once because we were all hung over. None of us enjoyed it) The servers can be kind of scatter brained, forgetting this that and everything else in between. One of my friends was upset with a server, insisting that she does not trust waitresses who drop credit cards. The concept of paying for the booth keeps changing - it used to be that we could all pay at the booth, now they charge everybody off of their food bill. It's a little too much micromanaging. Parking is a pain. Overall a fun place to try out once! read more

The food is not good, the clubs need a refresh, their price structure is terrible if you do anything other than smack the golf balls. Top golf was fun but after all the excitement, trying to pay became incredibly difficult and annoying. I made a reservation for 8 people to celebrate my cancer free anniversary. We arrived 15 minutes early, was given 2 bays and proceeded to play. We ordered lots of food and drinks. After the 2 hours was done, it was time to pay. We requested that the remaining amount of the reservation be split among everyone and that they pay for their own food. Instead, the the remaining amount was split between the 3 people that were in my bay and food and drinks were randomly chosen for everyone else. When some friends were trying to figure out what happened, the server said she did split it correctly, but after reviewing receipts, she did not. I believe a manager had stepped in, but there wasn't much they could do to fix that (or willing to do to fix it) so we had to try and settle the amounts ourselves. I'm not sure how their system works, but maybe not so great for people wanting to split it or pay their own way. So if I do end up coming with a large group of friends again, I'll just pay the entire thing myself and split the amounts accordingly. I really don't think it should be that hard. Also, a friend left his debit card there. Checked in and they said they had it. When he went back to pick it up, there was a note saying to call him. When he got it, he asked why he wasn't called since it said it on the card and the person told him because if you needed it, you would have called for it. Great customer service.... Smh. read more

Jesus where do I start. My company, and which I will not name, has platinum membership with Topgolf. Meaning we go to a portal we book online and we basically get to golf for two hours for free. It's not really free, my business is paying for it already, but anyway... We take clients to Topgolf about 10 to 15 times a month between the 30 sales associates we have here. We regularly book on Saturdays and Sundays and never have any issues. Today, however, was not the case. I did as I always do, booked the bay online. Reserved it for two hours between one and 3 PM, today, Sunday. When we arrived, we had no issues. I showed the reservation email as I always do give them. My Work Cell then were shown to the bay. We waited 19 minutes before someone came over and asked us if we wanted drinks or for any assistance. Within those 19 minutes, I had already logged on, and added all of the client names to the screen. I selected two hours as that is what I reserved online. We attempted to order their pizza special, one pizza, some wings and 460 ounce Pepsi for $25. However, we did not order that because they refused to allow us to change out the Pepsi for water or even tea. Nobody there drink sodas, so it would've been a waste having extra large sodas since we were placing two orders. So immediately I was frustrated not only did we have to wait about 20 minutes to even get help or a drink of water, but we were told that we were going to be forced to have eight sodas that we did not want. We moved on and ordered other food and water, and alcohol. I had another appointment so I had to leave our reservation 20 minutes prior to being done. About five minutes after my clients reservation was over I received a phone call stating that Topgolf had charged my client the $101 for the two hour bay even though I booked it through our platinum membership. When I contacted topgolf, they basically said that they don't honor the reservations on Saturdays and Sundays, and it was up to us to know that. I have taken clients to Topgolf for the last three years basically every other Saturday and Sunday. We have never had this issue before. We have always had a smooth and easy time. I'm not sure if they are changing the rules or what's going on but this will absolutely be the last time that my company uses Topgolf. I will be canceling our platinum membership as well as making sure that all of my 1.3 million followers on TikTok and 5.2 million followers on Instagram are going to be aware of the situation. Do not come to San Antonio Topgolf if you were trying to have a good time, enjoy yourself, and not get ripped off. read more

Update: the already expensive topgolf has raised their prices. We went on a Monday at 4 for a friend's birthday. We purchased one hour of golf, a bucket of Dos Equis beers, nachos (about 10 chips) and one blue moon pint and we paid almost $100. Absolutely ridiculous. We asked the waitress if there were any daily specials or happy hour, she said nope! This place just price gouges their customers. Original review: I actually really love Topgolfs brunch. We usually get a carafe of mimosas and eggs Benedict. This last visit I branched out and ordered the GOAT, it was plated well but I think it was too much (captain crunch breaded fried chicken, French toast, egg, gravy, syrup- there was just a lot of flavors). I I am not an avid golfer- in fact my experience is pretty limited to putt putt, but I enjoy coming here. Its laid back with fans/heaters depending on the season. It's worth coming in the off hours to get 1/2 off per hour pricing. Service is kind of hit or miss, and it can get kind of pricy otherwise would be 5 stars. read more

Pretty cool place to play golf. Food is super expensive and doesn't taste very good. Came here with a group of people for a fun game of golf one afternoon, and I was pretty impressed with the structure and how swanky it is to play golf in such a nice manner. The building consists of 3 levels and you get your own "lane" and you can compete with other people in your group. It's kind of like bowling but instead of bowling you drive a golf ball. I did find that the computer system does not track the ball very accurately at all. it would track the ball correctly 50% of the time which is pretty bad. So our scores are all wrong. The clubs are pretty nice and it was super easy to just wave your club and the ball comes to you. The food was pretty bad, meat is super dry and not fresh at all. Drinks are watered down and super sugary. There are fans in each of the stalls but it was really hot outside and super uncomfortable. Pretty pricey, and it's good to just do it once. read more

Went here recently as part of a group event. We had plenty of bays for our group which was nice. We were there on a Sunday afternoon so not sure how it compares to usual but the service was actually a little slow. Food items were actually quite good a lots of choices but definitely a little pricey. Actually a bit disappointed in the golfing apparatus. The tracking mechanism was very slow at times. A number of times playing the target game it failed to register shots that were hit correctly and should have been scored. Not a big deal since we were there with a large group and just messing around but if I was paying the $40/hour it is priced on the weekends or playing in one of their leagues the glitches definitely would have been more frustrating. read more

I had never been to this place but heard it was a lot of fun! There are three levels/floors of "bays" that you can reserve for an hour or so. Similar to bowling the balls are auto released in to a green, you wave your club in front of a sensor and presto. After hitting the mall you can see a video representation of the ball direction. The lot circles are the scoring system so you aim and shoot. Great if you are a good golfer and great if you are a beginner. Really cool little bar downstairs, food is super good and price isn't terrible for what you get. There's lots of parking but it fills up fast in The Weekend. There is also an app. You can download as well to reserve ahead of time. I have to mention the excellent service as well, they come out and set you up and the waiter/waitresses were very friendly. We went this past weekend and we had a great time. We made plans last minute for a group of 10. We reserved online(additional and seperate fee that doesn't go toward gameplay, or food and drinks) for 2 bays. The hostess was nice enough to call us and arrange for us to get on the 2 shared bay party list. This was definitely above and beyond for me. We got there and waited maybe 20 minutes and we got our text that our bays were ready. 2 crew members helped us setup the bays and get everyone registered with their cards. We were ready to play in 10 minutes. Everyone had a blast and our group ranged from mid-50s to 6 years old. We had fun cheering each other on, and laughing when we whiffed hitting the ball at all. Service was great overall. Our server was there in the perfect moments, just as our drinks were emptying, he came to our rescue. The food was hot and fresh, and the spinach and artichoke dip was so good that we ordered it twice. We had so much fun we stayed and played for 3 hours. We will be going back very soon for an afternoon time so we can save some money on the playtime fee, and not have to pay to reserve a bay. That is the only thing keeping me from 5 stars. read more

Topgolf is cool. I would probably give it more stars if I knew anything about golf... but I don't... and there was no one around to help show us the way... I was there with a group event. We had a happy hour buffet. It was not good. A choice of cubed brisket in BBQ sauce or fried chicken tenders with a slider bun and coleslaw. I lay most blame with event organizers for the choices made but the end product wasn't good either. After social hour, we were given two hours to hit balls. I wish there was someone to show us what we were supposed to do. No one in my bay had any ideas, so we just winged it. I put some points on the scoreboard so I guess that is all that matters. Service was great! There was always someone checking on us. I like the idea of Topgolf and I can see many other people do as well... the parking lot was packed at 4:30pm on a Tue afternoon. I like all the meeting rooms, great place to hold events. The bar and lounge area are huge. I could see myself going back sometime... with someone that can show me what to do. lol. read more
