The price per hour is reasonable when you have a group of friends because bill is split. They have a great selection of appetizers and drinks. Recommend going before noon because the price per hour is an amazing deal. The place is also well heated, if you are on the balcony since they have heat lamps above you head. The is barely wind coming through the balcony, so not to worry about wind chills when standing outside. Customer service is good. Top Golf did something right when they hired Lea as one of their team leaders. She went above and beyond making our experience at Top Golf unforgettable last night. My father-in-law suffered a stroke three years back and yesterday, Top Golf only had the 2nd and 3rd floor open for golfing. My father-in-law felt uncomfortable being on the ledge when golfing and at first, wasn't willing to participate because of this. After speaking to my husband, Lea was more than accommodating. She opened the 1st floor (ground level) just for us. My father-in-law had a wonderful time golfing and we can't thank her enough. Spencer, our waiter, was on point. Topgolf is great for meetings, outings with friends, or even a fun date with a little competition. The facility makes things easy for you. Golf clubs are already at the booth, and the balls pop out automatically on the tee. Other Topgolf facilities, you end up having to carry your clubs and basket of balls. They take out all that leg work and allow you to focus on having fun. The food menu is pretty good too actually. I always order the steak nachos and each large nacho has all the individual toppings. This place really allows me to be as lazy as I want. The service has slow moments but if you can have patient moments, then you won't find anything wrong with this place! read more

Love love love love love! I cannot express how much Top Golf exceeded my expectations! My friends and I came here on a Saturday night for my birthday celebration. We all have not been before so we were clueless as to what we were going to get. The moment we walked in all the signs pointed the way. We got our lifetime membership cards and got on our way. We got placed on the first floor which was ideal for us. I don't remember her name but the woman who helped us out gave very clear instructions as to how everything works. She was informative and very funny and we found her directions easy to follow. Easy peasy. Our server arrived not even a minute after and he was one of the best servers. He made sure all our drinks were filled the whole night we were there, and took all our orders accordingly. He made my night enjoyable! We ordered a few of their drinks (a pitcher of sangria for me) and were all happy. One drink that stood out had jalapeno in it which my friend LOVED. For our food we all decided to share the jumbo pretzel board which was charcuterie with the fluffiest, warmest, most delicious pretzel I've ever had (move over Aunt Anne's!). A friend got their burger which he devoured in minutes and raved about. I recommend Top Golf to anyone who wants a good time. We all have never been golfing so it was a great experience for all. I was very much between 3 & 4 stars for this review, but I'm erring on the kinder side because I had a lot of pleasant interactions with employees and to me, that's at the top of the list of important things about an experience. Four of us went on a Friday night--I was the only one who hadn't been before. Because I assumed it could get pretty packed, I reserved a bay online in advance for $25. I was bummed to realize that not only does this cost not go toward your actual game play, but it also doesn't guarantee immediate play during your reserved time. Essentially, it puts you ahead of anyone else on the waitlist if there aren't already bays available. Regardless, I went through with it because I didn't want to be left waiting for hours upon arrival or stuck to make different Friday night plans at the last minute. Thankfully, our bay was ready for us as soon as we got there and we got set up within a few minutes. We told our server from the start that we weren't planning to order anything, but that didn't cause her to be rude or to stop being attentive (like I've seen plenty of other times elsewhere). She kept our water pitcher full & had a cheerful attitude the whole time. We made sure to tip her well because of this! The game itself was quite fun & simple. There isn't much to it, especially if you are like all of us who knew next to nothing about golf, had no true strategy about clubs to use, or any skills to show off. The four of us got through a full game in an hour with 5-10 minutes left to spare at the end, where we could've started a new game but instead decided to head out. They had a live DJ for Friday nights, which made the atmosphere very excitable. The bottom line for me was simply that the experience was too much money for what it was. Between us we were two couples who each paid about $25 for one hour of being there, not including the tip or the $5 membership fee per person since 3/4 of us had been before. This also did not include the $25 reservation fee or any food or drinks. I'm glad I went pretty much to say that I did, because now I likely won't be back anytime soon. I've been meaning to come here for the longest time and I finally did today with my husband. Honestly, at first I didn't think I would have that much fun. Hitting golf balls far out into the distance? Yeah I can't even stand to watch golf as it is. So I just knew that it would be money wasted and time wasted. Well, I was wrong. I had a great time in fact. It isn't as easy as it seems on TV, and the more I kept playing, the more my inner asshole kept wanting to try to improve in order to beat my husband's score. I got close, but no cigar. So if you have never been, you enter a Bay Area and select a golf club. From there you walk across the red line, wave your club in front of the sensor and a ball comes rolling out. After that, focus and swing. Some things to note: 1). Don't cross the red line if you aren't swinging, lest you come home with a golf ball sized bruise on your noggin. 2) There are different types of golf games to play ranging from beginners to expert level 3) prices vary according to the time. Each game consists of 20 balls. Hit as many balls as you can and play as many games as you can in the time frame alloyed. You are welcome to extend your time as you wish. Food: Ok so I was really hesitant on the food. Usually the food as these entertainment type of places suck, to be honest. But, it wouldn't be a complete review if I didn't review the food. To make a long story short, it was good. I had the grilled wings and the donut holes. No complaints, everything was great. Service; absolutely loved it! Our waitress remembered my name and called me by name when presenting the food, checking on us, etc. It made the experience much more personable. She also had great recommendations about the menu items. Thumbs up to her. Overall: I love this place. I would come here again, no hesitation. Finally got to experience the latest thing to hit my area. It was definitely a good time! I have zero experience (or skills) in golf, and i still had a great time; so Don't think you need to know what you're doing to have fun. Details: plenty of parking, it's positioned on a "off the beaten path" two lane road that connects two major roads in Virginia Beach, so it's tucked away enough to not get in the way, but it's the only attraction on the street so it's easy to find. The facility itself is laid out nicely with three floors of driving bays to hit from, each with seating for a large party and two tees to hit from within each bay. There are left handed clubs and tees as well so we of the special class of human aren't left out of the action. The equipment is easy to use, the bays are equipped with industrial strength heating and cooling equipment so even now(early April in Va which is high 40s most days) you're still comfortable being "outside". Our handler that was assigned to our group(i was there as a guest in a group of about 15 guys as a surprise anniversary gift to a good friend of mine from his wife) was friendly, accommodating and thorough in explaining how it all worked. The food was good, but was a little under flavored for as good of a presentation it had. I ordered a bacon burger with an egg over medium on top and it looked like it was going to taste amazing but the flavor of the bacon was absent(i didn't think that was possible after all...i mean it's BACON for Pete's sake!) But the burger patty was cooked perfectly as I asked (medium on all my red meat) I also ordered mac n cheese spring rolls which also were underwhelming on the flavor side. You'd think a spring roll filled with Mac n cheese would taste- CHEESY. Alas it did not. It and the tater tots that came with my burger just tasted like the oil they were fried in. So out came the ketchup to the rescue. Still all in all i had a great time with great friends and it's a fun outing for people who like to be more active then hanging in a bar but may not necessarily be ready to break a sweat. It was great for a large group and though pricey can be made manageable if split amongst 8-10 people. I can't comment on the cost of food because our party was all comped on whatever food we ordered as a part of the party so i didn't look at the prices. They must cover a lot of bays because sometimes it feels like it is hard to find the staff member servicing your party. But I definitely enjoy myself whenever I come here. I would love to come back here and the only other one I've been to is Vegas and that one had a pool inside to swim in, this one at Virginia Beach didn't have much to do indoors except drive golf balls and eat and drink. There is a small shopping area at the front door to sell patrons their brand name shirts and merchandise. Friendly staff and always there to help you or get you another drink. I've been dying to go here!!! It's always insanely packed so I figured we'd be okay on a Monday afternoon. We walked right in and to our bay. We weren't really sure what we were doing but figured out that each player hits as many balls as they want up to 20 per game. The golfing was the best part. Here's what wasn't so great...I ordered a glass of wine, the server came back and said they were out. I ordered a different wine. She came back to say they were out of that too. My son ordered a Dr. Pepper and it arrived with clearly not enough syrup. We asked her for a new one. She came back to say they were out of Dr. Pepper. Ugh. She did bring us a free basket of chips. That was nice. We ordered the donuts and they arrived with syringes everywhere and no plates, napkins or silverware. The syringes were very hard to control and we made a huge mess of our hands. So here we are playing golf on clubs that a million people have touched, syrup all over us and no napkins. Not good. I had to get up and ask the bartender for napkins. He handed me one paper towel. My daughter ordered a burger that was not too bad. She asked for medium and it was well, but the grill flavor was nice. As we are wrapping everything up, the server asked if we wanted the bill on the card we gave her. Sure. Before I signed, I looked over the check. She charged us for the wine and Dr. Pepper! Sigh. The service from Nichole on a second floor bay was friendly, fun, and prompt. The Team Leader, Dallas, came by twice to make sure all our needs were met. Let me tell you the tater tot side with queso dip is Goldilocks (Just Right). The sliders with Cheddar and Bacon Jam were hot and sooo gooooood. We stayed about 2 hours on a Monday and played golf games and cheered each other on and laughed when eventually Murphy's Law was inflicted on one of us. We agreed for the money and the fun and the great service and good food (brunch options available as well) we will return. Plus it is a kid friendly time so bring the family... many other bays did. Let's start with the obvious...I'll be back. My friend made a bay reservation on a Friday night for 730. Turned out to be a savvy move because the place was packed and people were waiting for over an hour without reservations. I've never had more fun being terrible at something as I was at Topgolf. Our bay host was pretty friendly and handled my group like a G, and our food came relatively quickly and wasn't bad. The food is nothing to write home about but it was more than sufficient. I got a burger and tater tots and I had no complaints. The only time I raised my eyebrow was when our bay host spread my $30 worth of preloaded money across the entire group, of which no one had preloaded money. She assumed it would just be spread evenly without getting or giving clarity to that process. When I asked where it was on my tab, she said she just assumed it was to be spread across the 6 people in our group. Considering I had a good time, I let it go, but be sure to get clarity from your bay host if you have preloaded cash on your Topgolf card. Anyway...I'll be back. This is a great venue for hanging out with friends and family! It's essentially a casual, kid-friendly bar with things to do and doesn't require you to scream over loud noise. Every time I've gone here, the service has been fantastic! You get greeted at the front door, led to your game bay, and waited on by friendly staff who smile. The food is also very good--good variety of tasty American/fusion food at a reasonable price. It's also a fun way to practice golf because they essentially "gamefy" it by giving you points for various goals. I would never spend 2 hrs on an actual golf course but I can easily pass 2 hrs here. Topgolf is fun, no doubt about it..but holy moley (see what I did there?) is it EXPENSIVE. Everything from the food to the drinks is just insanely overpriced. I may be a little bitter because they gave me a well-done burger when I'd asked for med-rare, but it was nothing special. We tried the wings and the burger, ordered 2 drinks, and had 2 hours of a half-priced bay (on Tuesdays) and it was over $100 (before tip). Also apparently I'm really bad at golf. Reviewing a place like this means, reviewing the golfing experience, and then the food separately. This is my second time here, but it is the first time I brought my children. I think the golfing is affordable, if you go before 12 PM. I do not like that if you forget to bring your membership card, you have to buy another one each time. What are the odds of someone carrying around a top golf membership card in their wallet or pocket an entire year later? This is how long it's been since we've been back. Nevertheless, we had a good time golfing with the kids. We spent $45 total just on the golfing. Now onto the food, which is where the experience got a little bit more expensive. Now we do have two small children, which means they ordered from the children's menu. We left spending $95 just in food and drinks. Which I typically don't mind spending that much, when/if the experience is worth it. I did get a carafe of sangria. Which tasted like red water. Don't get the sangria, I've learned my lesson and will never get it again. We ordered wings off the appetizer menu, the flatbed bread pizza off the appetizer menu, two of the burgers that have the fried egg on it, and the kids grilled cheese. The wings and the pizza was amazing. The burger was big but it was dry. The grilled cheese was not even great, and it's grilled cheese. How does one mess up grilled cheese? The icing on the cake for me once the cup of ranch that was brought out with my wings. It had multiple eyelashes or eyebrows hairs, in the sauce sitting on top. After waiting on our server for nearly 25 minutes just to get new ranch. She just looked at it and set it back down at the table and said she would bring me another. That took 10 more minutes. I am so happy they finally put a Topgolf in this area! I was wondering when this would happen, since their Alexandria location is very popular. My husband and I went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy! They do take reservations, but you have to pay an extra fee (it's very pricey-not worth it in my opinion). We already had accounts opened with Topgolf, so all we needed to do was pay. It costs $45/hr from 5pm to close, $35/hr from 12pm to 5pm, and $25/hr from open to 12pm. My husband signed up for their emails and received $10 off for his birthday. We ended up paying about $33 in total (they offer 10% off with military discount). We played golf on their first level, which was nice!I'm not a huge golf person, but surprisingly had a really good time. I would suggest going with a group of people to increase competition and decrease the cost (they only allow 6 people to a "bay"). My husband and I will definitely be back. My experience here was the worst experience I have ever had in my life at any establishment, no exaggeration. My friends and I are members and we are visiting from out of town. We made reservations for the 3rd floor ahead of time, we are aware that Saturday nights can be busy. We arrived at 9 pm and checked in, after we sat at the bar and ordered food, we didn't get service at the bar until 9:48 pm. At 10:26 we went to the front desk to ask about our reservations and we were told we were moved to the bottom of the list because we left. My friend explained that we never left and we have been here and we have waited for a long while and she ask for a manager to see if we can maybe be brought back to the list, 3 managers come out and say no, but they can give us the 1st floor. We explained to them that we have waited for a long time and we would appreciate it if we can be put on the list for the 2nd or 3rd floor again. They say no, aggressively, so we decide to leave, but our food wasn't even done at that point, so we are waiting, a facility member approached us to ask what is going on, as we were explaining, the manager told us "No" sprinted from the front desk to the bar to listen to what we were telling him and starting acting erratically ( Her Name was Keeks apparently). We asked her to kindly leave us alone because her behavior was not normal at all or professional. As we were on our way out, the other manager names Rachel, ran out to tell us she got us on the 3rd floor at that moment, we thanked her and went to our bay. We got to our bay and we were having trouble getting our memberships up on the screen and setting ourselves up, we asked the guy that was supposed to help us with our service, and straight up said he was busy and had other tables to help in a rude tone, we ignored him. We ended up only playing with one member on the screen because we couldn't figure out how to go back. Then 5 min later we approached him again to order more food and my friends wanted a drink. He said "No you are all intoxicated and belligerent," I told him I don't drink so that isn't even possible because I don't drink. He then turned around and walked away, my friend ask him who said that and he said the bartender and then ran away. At that point I'm just so confused why the employees are being hostile, aggressive, rude, and unfriendly, I grab my belongings and went back to the front desk to speak with a manager. Keeks ( the one that seemed to be off) was the only one available, I kept trying to explain to her that we weren't drunk and she continuously interrupted me telling me no one said that. My friend then comes down to record the situation and Keeks started to mock us. She kept asking if we were done speaking to her and told us to speak to social media about it because she doesn't care and started to laugh and said we had big backs. The man that was serving us said we were N words and said that we all threaten to beat him up, in that case, that was all racially motivated and they all ganged up on us. They need to be held accountable for their actions because it isn't right in any kind of setting, especially when I was respectful the whole time. If you want good service and want to be treated like a human being, just go to a different Top Golf, the management is bottom on the barrel, and the ones we dealt with are bullies and didn't even try to hide it. We got attacked because we tried to respectfully voice our concerns. In the meantime, I have canceled my membership and I told everyone I know in VB our experience that we won't spend our hard-worked money in a place like this and won't stop sharing our experience until those employees are held accountable. read more

When we went to Topgolf, they were bursting at the seams with people and there was a two-hour wait. It was a rainy day so I think a lot of people had chosen that as their rainy day activity. That said, we had a great experience and everyone was as attentive as they possibly could be. Because of our two hour wait, we sat at the bar and got a pitcher of beer and salad + wings. I'd say their bar food and drink was exactly what you would hope for from a place like this. Fairly standard food and drink, didn't leave anything to be desired. I will say though that our bay opened up almost 1 hour before it was supposed to be ready, and a man came over and transferred our check to the bay, sent over our food, showed us how to work the bay, and was very helpful. I thought their service was top notch and they handled a very busy time very successfully. Overall I was impressed with the experience and facilities. This review has a little age on it as my visit here took place back during a company Christmas party. What an amazing party it was! First thing, we had great weather. It was chilly, as it should be in December, but it wasn't cold and we were all quite comfortable. The company had half of the top deck reserved for us. Second, there was an enormous buffet available and fire pits on either side. Buffet items included the following: Chicken Pot Stickers- with sweet chili sauce Smoked Salmon Bruschetta-with wasabi aioli Craft Beer Queso - with chips, salsa, and guacamole Greek Platter - with hummus, fresh vegetables and chips Shrimp and Avocado Cocktail -with ginger cocktail sauce Thai Chicken Satay Skewers -with a peanut dipping sauce The buffet was awesome and they kept refilling it throughout the duration of the party. I've never seen that happen before. Kudo's to Top Golf there. Third was the Golf and since we had such a large area reserved for us we everyone was able to play to their hearts content. I have been here as part of a corporate event as well as with friends on a weekend. A few major callouts: 1. Beautiful, new and modern location! I have been to the original Topgolf in northern Virginia but I was blown away by this one 2. Friendly, helpful service- the employees were all very attentive to our needs and kept us having a good time. 3. The golfing was a lot of fun! We played a few different games (the monitor at each station walks you through it) and everyone was able to have fun no matter what the skill level of the golfer 4. Prices- top golf is expensive, the food and drinks are pricey on top of an already expensive trip, and you have to pay for a membership card the first time you go (has your name and other personal information stored on it that you use to sign into a station). 5. Not sure where to begin my group of 3 waited for 2 hours and never experienced golfing. When we walked in the door there was no one directing you where to go or how the process worked. We asked someone from concierge could we grab food first and she instructed us seat ourselves which we did and waited in the nearly empty area for 30 minutes before someone came over to take our drink orders which was water. After that she never came back so we moved to the actually bar thinking we would get some service since it was relatively empty at that time 8 people max at the bar. Surely we thought we could order and on our way. NOT we sat at the bar unwelcomed for another 30 minutes. Ot wasnt until Andre the bar back walked passed so we asked him of we could order and he grabbed a coaster and readily took our order. If it wasnt for Andre we wouldnt have ever gotten our food or drinks ordered. The 2 bartender completely ignored us sitting right in the middle of the bar . They walked past us several times but clearly we were invisible because they said nothing . Even after Andre took our order no one ever checked on us . We had to wait for Andre to come back to get our bill . At that time our bay was ready but we decided to forgo it just paid our check and left. The food was okay but the experience made everything just simply horrible. I guess I'll just wait until Topgolf opens in my area of Ohio to try it out . Top golf is always fun and the service and food great. This particular Top golf has a big issue on its course though. It is very lumpy and uneven and has lips on the scoring rings that prevent scoring at times. I could not practice my short game it was so uneven lol ok so I got s a message to go do a review on Top Golfs website, I'm good with just this review here. Get with maintenance go to bay 213 and try to use a wedge to hit the red target to the left, then the yellow in the middle I believe had the lip , very noticeable. read more
