It's worth noting I was a patient several years ago and the doctor and staff involved back the were outstanding. I barely felt a thing and they were extremely polite. My experience all these years later was the same. Dr. Kushner and a member of his team took great care in explaining things and addressing my concerns. When removal of a few skin tags from my eyes was decided as the right course of action (my request), I could not have asked to be in better hands. I'm awful when it comes to needles - total fight or flight physical reaction every time. But Dr. Kushner was as gentle as possible. What's more, as a professional, he gave me 5-10 minutes after injecting the numbing agent to ensure I would not feel this minor but still nerve wracking procedure (we're talking about my eye lids after all). My last dermatologist at a different practice was a horror. He injected a numbing agent, put down the needle and then immediately sliced a large growth from my face. When I flinched he told me I was acting like a baby. Thank goodness I rediscovered Dermatology and Mohs Surgery and was seen by Dr. Kushner. The experience with Dr. Kushner and his nurse was outstanding. A little pinch with the needle and as for the procedure itself, I never felt a thing. Both he and the nurse were very patient with me because ... well, needles. Even the folks at the reception desk were very friendly. If you want a dermatologist who will treat you like a human being, explain things, answer questions, not rush you and who also has a gentle touch when cutting and scraping, go here and ask for Dr. Kushner. To the entire staff - thank you. You've won an enthusiastic fan today.

I do not recommend Dr. Santoro…read more I made the mistake of being his patient twice. The first time was a few years ago when his office was in the Doylestown Hospital complex. He removed a mole from the back of my neck and took some skin samples from my back. It was extremely painful. My mother, a registered nurse of 30 years, went with me. Later she pointed out a few mistakes, in her opinion, based on his timing between numbing agent and procedure. I thought she might have been over protective. I'd never been to a dermatologist prior and didn't realize it shouldn't be so painful until years later. My big issue was at the end, as I was asking two questions he literally was walking out of the room. Clearly too busy to address a new patient's questions. Seven months ago I saw Dr. Santoro again at his new office in The Barn complex to have a growth removed from under my eye. They failed to mention the move to a new location when I called to schedule, so figuring this out, I ended up being 10 minutes late. The staff, and ultimately Dr. Santoro himself, went to great lengths to impress upon me how my lateness was possibly the worst crisis to befall the office in some time. Then they made me wait in the waiting room for 15 more minutes. When the doctor came in, he asked why I was there, and gave me a shot to numb the area below my eye. I had told him I am very uncomfortable with needles and apologized in advance. In that instant, he walked across the room (I assume to get something), walked back over and quickly cut the growth off my face. The pain was considerable and I actually said something like "ouch." His comment was "you do have a problem with needles." He never gave the numbing agent more than 30 seconds to take effect, so it was quite painful. I recalled later the years-earlier mole removal taking a similar course and hurting quite a bit as well. My primary care doctor was appalled when I described what happened. He said they should have given the numbing agent at least a minute or so and checked before removing the growth. But, as I noted, I was late and Dr. Santoro apparently had a very important schedule to keep. I won't bother sharing details regarding the referral paperwork hassle I got at the front desk or Dr. Santoro's total lack of bedside manner. Rather, I urge you to find another dermatologist -- any dermatologist. My mistake was going back a second time. Learn from my error.

I specifically requested liposuction multiple times, as my previous surgeon included it and it was necessary for symmetry, but Dr. Chapin told me it was not needed. It was not performed, and my thighs show no improvement. The extended incision now protrudes even more than before. I spent $3,500 on the thigh revision with absolutely no positive change. I also only agreed to the upper and lower back lift because Dr. Chapin strongly recommended them, assuring me they would significantly improve my contour. These were not procedures I sought out myself. After spending an additional $12,000, the results are extremely minimal and not at all reflective of what was described to me. What stands out most is how dismissive Dr. Chapin was of my concerns. From my very first follow-up, I expressed dissatisfaction, yet my concerns were brushed aside again and again. At my most recent scheduled appointment--where the office was already 20 minutes behind--I was told Dr. Chapin "didn't have time" to discuss my thigh issues and still perform scar injections, and that I had to pick one. This was a scheduled visit specifically meant to address my post-op needs, and being told there wasn't time to even discuss my concerns was incredibly disrespectful and invalidating. Anytime I pressed for answers or expressed that I was unhappy with the results, I was essentially told there was nothing that could be done and to "be happy with your body." This felt dismissive, minimizing, and completely out of line considering I had been raising the same concerns from the beginning and had invested significant money into procedures that produced little to no improvement. Because of the results and the way my concerns were repeatedly disregarded, I would not recommend Dr. Chapin to future patients. Photo attached to show my before and after. The photo speaks for itself. And these were the professional before and after his office took.

He is incredibly kind and funny, but more importantly he listens to your concerns and talks through everything with you. I told him I was in grad school and I felt like he truly cared - he would ask how it's going at every post-op visit. He's just a good person. On top of that though, he is a fantastic surgeon. My scar is a thin, faded, straight line now one year post op. My belly button looks natural. All of that is notoriously hard to achieve. I am so happy with my results. Dr. Chapin also PAID FOR MY UBER right out of surgery because I came to Doylestown from Philly and he knew I was a rather poor student. He didn't want me to worry about it while I was still groggy from the anesthesia. He is just a gem of a human, and an incredible surgeon. If you're debating on surgeons, I would recommend Dr. Chapin to anyone as a first choice. Lastly, his nurses are wonderful. Olivia doesn't work there anymore but she was the sweetest person I could've asked to take care of me (removing drains, assessing scars, etc). By the time all my post op appointments were done, she felt like a big sister to me. Thanks, doc. - Neet
