Looking down into the crowd from the entrance makes you eager to join the vibes. Walking in, you quickly pass the DJ tent playing all the tunes that make you want to sing out loud. It was brutally hot this day so shoutout to Dew Drop for using fans to circulate the air inside. We passed the pizza area on the way in and after seeing a TikTok showcasing it later I was sad I did. Next time we are coming hungry and that pizza is first on the list. Upstairs the bar area was easily accessible. We ordered Tito's with a soda and a splash of cranberry along with a glass of cranberry and water. Tap to pay made it quick and we were back in the mix in no time. A short walk downstairs, we found another bar and dance area worth stopping at. No seating like upstairs but nobody was sitting anyway. Dancehall music had everyone moving and the energy was everything a Sunday funday should be. Walking outside we found picnic tables that brought in a great breeze. We even saw quite a few people we know come through which is always a pleasant surprise in the DMV. We decided to call it after the air quality from the Fourth of July fireworks, which we think actually launched on the fifth, was not the best. Even with that my guests loved the vibes and are already planning their return. Dew Drop is a great venue and a gathering spot worth showing up for!!

Although the space is on the smaller side, there was plenty of bar seating, an ample number of booths and the drink prices were a good deal. If I lived a little closer, I could see myself dropping by much more frequently. T he only downside that felt apparent to everyone I came here with, was the strong smell of fried fish. I personally wasn't too phased, assuming it as part of their menu. But the longer we settled in we realized it was coming in from an adjacent business which is incredible hard to control. With that being said, we smelled like fried fish when we got into my friends car and the smell followed us everywhere for the rest of the night. Like I said, I understand that's a hard thing to control but it may be something to be mindful of if you've got anywhere you need to go after. I now stop in, at least once a week. While it's not in my neighborhood, it feels like a neighborhood bar every time I walk in. If you're a music head, Wednesday nights are always a vibe, or when they have their Motown mondays. They have great dj's, cool events, and a great team.
