Folks, here's an honest review from one happy customer and someone who's known Doug for many years. 40+ yrs Doug is a sweet, down to earth gentlemen that knows his $h!t on just about everything. He can work on bicycles that many know him by, but he is so much more on motorcycles, race bikes, off road bikes and quads. Not many know he is a Salinas native whom at one time was an AMA Super-bike Champion Bad A$$ that toured the world.... I am honored to have him as my personal mechanic on my 93 GSXR 1100 for all my personal needs. I trust NO ONE to work on my toys but rest assured you can trust Doug to get things running right and done right the first time. His prices are comparable and knowing whatever he works on, you can rest easy knowing he treats it as his own. I've gone to other bike shops in Salinas, Monterey, Seaside, San Jose and non compare to the respect and quality of service I get from DC-10. To my surprise they did not try to up sale us on anything and they had everything in stock. The next time we needed some new tires we went to Marina Cycle but they were not open so we drove to Valley Bikes in Salinas. I was in a bit of a hurry to leave town so I had Valley Bike install the new tires. The next day when riding my wheel fell off my bike!!! Needless to say I will take my business back to Marina Cycle where problems like that never happen. ** Definitely recommend calling before going there as they are not always open.

He claimed their policy showed this but when he read it the policy clearly didn't state it had to be neatly boxed. Having been to Carmel and 17 Miles before I had not expected much, but experiencing it on the bike with a guide was much much better and rewarding and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour! My wife and I had a blast! On a random weekday afternoon, we got there as a dad and his two daughters were happily loading bikes into their car. One guy was finishing up his transaction and three more potentials customers came by...all while we had only been there the short time we were there. All this to say that William was juggling many things at once from repairs to sales to rentals and yet he never rushed anyone (including us). He seemed so kind and honest and very down to earth. He checked every single bike, filled tires with air as needed, and even let me have a wrench to adjust one of the bikes. Who does that?!??? So awesome. On the COVID front, he had the front roped off so customers aren't touching all the bikes, he wore a mask, & used sanitizer on every bike to disinfect and constantly sanitized his hands. Last random bit to share....William was great with my kids. Very gentle and encouraging to my younger kid by telling her she could learn to ride a bike and gave examples of his own kids learning at the ages they did! And his dog Pedal was such a well-behaved and sweet dog. If you're the kind of person that uses kids and dogs to gauge a person, let that be a nugget of info for you! The Crew, Jake, Wes and Sarah were amazing and very knowledgeable and cheerful individuals. They really added to the experience! The views of the landscapes were very scenic and when you get to the top of the loop, you see a beautiful view of the coast! This adventure is about an hour long and definitely worth it! You get to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and get in some not too strenuous exercise too. Sadly, this business will be closed permanently at the end of August 2025. This is a must before then and you'll definitely enjoy every minute!
