    Soft shelled crab
    Tommy Y.

Food and service were great. It was a very popular spot but the short wait was absolutely worth it! Their soft shelled crab was absolutely delicious, better than any I've had elsewhere in Toronto.

    The bulgogi and tempura dinner

This place is pretty amazing! It's definitely a place I will go again! The service: The waiter is very polite and is very friendly, not pushy at all and gave lots of room to talk while checking up on us every once in a while which was nice. Food: I had the Bulgogi and tempura bento box which was very good. It came with rice, salad, 3 dumplings, the beef and assorted tempura. I liked everything in the bento box. The tempura was light and crispy, not greasy at all. The beef was seasoned well and went well with the rice. The salad and dumplings were just okay, not anything special. They also gave out complementary miso soup at the beginning and ice cream at the end which was a plus and free tea if you order it. The price I thought the price was fairly decent maybe a little expensive for a Korean/Japanese restaurant but not overly priced That being said, overall I think it is well worth it and I will definitely be going in the near future. 5 stars.

Comes with all plates, before you order them.

Best little sushi restaurant by far in Town... Other than Toronto. Try the spicy tuna tempura rolls! Yummy! Friendly place.

Interior decor is a bit outdated but the food is great. Best sushi in the area.

We had just moved back to Fort Drum, NY from living in Korea for the last 3 years. Prior to Korea,…read morewe've gone to many Korean bbq in America and have had amazing experiences. This one was one of the most depressing experience I've had in my life. The kids were even sad First the grill. It's not the built into the table ones, so no air vents above to suck up the air. They bring the table side one to your table. Second, we had to complain twice about the weak flames/grill and that it was taking over 5 minutes to cook the paper thin beef slices. Kids were starving. Second, banchan. The side dishes. If you've been to any decent Korean restaurants, you know that the free side dishes are full of color and flavor. They only have us these sad dishes. The kimchi was fine, I just wanted some green onions, spinach, bean sprouts, something. Third... no steamed eggs! I don't think I've ever seen a Korean restaurant without Gyeran-jjim. That's one of our favorite side dishes, so that was disappointing. Fourth, garlic. We love getting thin slices of garlic to cook on the grill and eating it in our lettuce wrap. They claimed they didn't have any garlic. Odd. Location, off of the main road with plenty of parking. So that was good. The servers were kind, but had a tough time with the grill to work properly. We finally had one of the male servers to swap out the grill and the meat finally started sizzling. I think this place has great potential, but if it's a portable burner and barely any side dishes, I can easily do it at home. We love going out for kbbq for the full experience of endless banchan. Our search continues...

We got a variety of marinated beef, kalbi, and pork belly. No complaints it gets the job done. Also got an order of tteokbokki and korean pancake which were also just ok. Would've liked the tteokbokki to have some extras in there other than just the rice cake. Textbook 3 star it's just ok but a bit pricy.

Really insane that my max 30$ meal turned to 60$. I've been to this restaurant the most throughout my undergrad, love their food, and always thought/spoke highly of it. This was my first time having it in a while, so it really sucks getting gouged by them. I won't go here again, if you do make sure to know about the real prices.

This starts from the basic decor to the Korean lady traditionally running the kitchen. Menu prices were very reasonable, catering to the student demographic. Gam Ja Tang (pork bone soup) was a pleasant surprise, with large pieces of pork neck bone and fall-off-the-bone meat in the mildly spicy fresh kimchi broth. But the potato could've used more time to soak up the bold soup flavours. The colourful Bibimbap was served with a nice runny egg but the chopped vegetables caused stirred rice to be watery. That was atoned by a popping platter of Korean Seasoned Fried Chicken in sweet & spicy gochujang sauce. The boneless half portion was huge. Pieces were crunchy & saucy in one bite! This restaurant is a short drive up Princess St from downtown with city parking nearby. Both patio & indoor dining options were available. Service was smooth & easygoing. Glad to enjoy this spot for an authentic Korean meal among the few Asian food options in town.

Ordering is done via the QR Code on the table and menu consists of everything you would normally expect from Fried Chicken to GamJaTang to Bibimbap to a variety of soups and stews. One thing you don't get upon sitting is tea. Not sure if it's because the clientele is mostly students. Everyone gets a glass of cold water. Good choice of soju and other bottled drinks. What we ordered: Soon Tofu Stew with Pork - decent sized cubes of pork in a spicy tofu stew served with a side of rice Pork Katsu - served with a gravy on top of the katsu and side of rice and cabbage slaw Spicy Chicken - served with rice and a fried egg on top of the rice Flavours were good and portion sizes were okay. What was sad was the banchan we were served. Again not sure if it's the customer population but what we got was not spectacular in choice or flavour. I actually think it's gotten worse. Regardless this is a good place if you want a comforting Korean meal in a decent setting.

Unlike most Korean places, you need to ask for the side dishes (kimchi, potato salad and bean sprouts). Overall, one of our favourites! Half and half chicken: This is a mix of the Korean sauce fried chicken and Korean fried chicken. Perfect to share for groups where some people like spicy foods while others can't handle it. Dukbokki with ramen: This is a perfect spicy meal for a cold day! Good to share between 2 people. Rice cakes: This is made with the same sauce as the Korean sauce fried chicken. Highly recommend this appetizer! Kanpoong Chicken (large): We weren't quite sure what this was based on the name, but it was very good! It was a nice blend of sweet and savoury and goes well with white rice. **Follow @smfoodd on Instagram for more reviews!!
