Martha's my girl! She was so kind and funny and warm and made the awkward and kind of embarrassing procedure easy and fun with good convo! I had a lice problem (yay kidsssss) I dealt with it a few times, but I wanted a follow up to put my itchy head to rest. I was in LA and popped by after calling for an appointment and speaking with a really friendly man who put me at ease. That friendly man I learned was the owner and his employees mentioned what a great guy he was and he started this biz because his kids had lice years back and he and his wife (a doctor/pediatrician) felt helpless! The place is professional. It's bright, clean and the techs are so friendly. They have iPads for the kids, candy, snacks and water available in the waiting area and a ton of kid friendly art and overall, it was just a really welcoming environment. For $20/$25 I got a head check (waived if you need treatment). I was lice free and she gave me some really great advice I didn't hear from the other places: like how nix makes you feel like you have lice for 2 week after even if you don't and tea tree oil isn't the way to go. Just amazing! Norma was so sweet and informative. I kept trying to get rid of it and no matter how much I removed it would come back, I'm sure from missing an egg. The hair specialist I believe her name was Norma, was just so very kind. As soon as we made our entrance into the clinic Norma made my daughter feel right at home and very so much comfortable. An iPad was offered to my daughter to keep her entertained and not be bored while she got her hair worked on. After dealing with this problem for about 6 months I finally decided to make the call. I spoke to scot at around 9:30 pm Friday night. Scot was very polite and understanding, making me feel that everything was going to be okay. I have a 6 year old with curly thick hair and and an 8 year old with fine thin hair. They both had lice on and off. Every time I thought I had taken care of the situation I would look again a week later to see eggs or lice. My kids never had a severe infestation but the problem was on going. I was stressed and depressed. I felt that the only way to get ride of the problem was by burning down the whole house to finally be free. I would never do such a thing but the stress was unbelievable. I came here to get treated the first time they found nothing, went to my doctor to confirm I did have Lice, wasted my payment on that first $25 lice check there at Torrance Lice Removal. I went a second time, this time I told them I am going for the full treatment $200, lice technician spent little time checking and more time telling me she's finding nothing, not even one single nit. Not one.. Went back to doctor, they decided to treat me themselves, to their amazement finding a handful of nits. I paid my $200 for some 30-day Guarantee Lice Free Package that I intended to get my full moneys worth, the lady specified the package came with a free comb out after 14 days. So here we are, 14 days later I call Torrance Lice Removal. No answer, I submit an appointment request form, no response, 7 calls later, nothing. Finally try again left a lengthy voicemail and voila I get, wait not a call, a text. From none other than our "one and only" Scott Weiss, owner of this dishonorable facility. About 3 months ago my daughter got lice for the 2nd time. Last year she got it around June and it took doctor visits, prescribed cream, store bought items and a month + weeks to get rid of it fully.
