Knowing how much the van meant to us, Jose took it upon himself to pull over under an overpass to let the heavy rain pass before continuing. I asked the Peoria officer if my dogs could cool off in his car and was told that he didn't have AC. After a bit, the tow truck driver asked us into his cab.
