Torrid charged my card twice, and to make matters worse, I never even received an order confirmation and still have not received. When I reached out to their customer service, I was met with unhelpful responses and excuses. I called both the store and the 1-800 number and both were rude and unresponsive. In both cases I was told they can't locate the order and yet I see the charges on my account. They claimed there was nothing they could do about the double charge, which makes absolutely no sense. No one seemed interested in resolving the issue, and they just wanted to pass me off to someone else. The worst part is how not understanding everyone has been throughout this entire ordeal. It's as if they don't care about my business at all, and no one will take responsibility for the problem. I expected better from a company like Torrid, but this experience has left me frustrated and disappointed. I really hope they make things right, but right now, I feel completely ignored. read more

My last visit to my KOP Torrid left me feeling like there was more to be desired. I stopped in during the holiday season before a trip that I was taking in hopes of stocking up on some essentials. There were two women working, one of which made up in personality where the other left off. I was disappointed to find that they no longer carry all sizes of panties in store any longer as this was something I specifically came in seeking. I was able to find a few pairs to make work but wasn't ecstatic with my options. The store overall seemed a bit understocked, if I'm honest. I found slim pickings in regards to available sizes again when looking for leggings/bike shorts, and nothing else in the store spoke to me. While it isn't the stores fault, I definitely feel like the quality and variety of torrid products, especially for the cost, is really declining. It is super disappointing for a plus-size gal that at one time found her sense of expression and some confidence in their torrid wardrobe. I have been a VIP for a number of years, but 2024 looks like it may be the end of the line. I just couldn't rationalize spending the money this year that it takes to maintain that. read more

I want to say that Torrid is one of the worst companies to purchase online from. The King of Prussia Torrid store associates were also extremely unhelpful in every possible way. To begin with I purchased some items as a gift for a friend online. The options are to pay for shipping or to have the items delivered to the store for free. I decided to have the items delivered to the store. One item arrived over a week faster than the second item which was a hassle I wasn't expecting. My friend she did not like one of the two items I bought her so it went to go return it at the King of Prussia Torrid. Online they claim that returns in store are possible. What I found out in the store is that they conveniently forget to mention is that if you order with PayPal you can not return in the store. The associate at this Torrid did nothing to help and told me to call customer service because they are unable to make exceptions. The reason I wanted to return in store is because if you return via mail you are personally in charge of paying the return fee and if it gets lost it is your loss. After trying to get through a couple times and going nowhere I decided to give up at get store credit. I came in today (July 28) and the item was delivered to the store May 21. This is about 67 days. I want to say I picked up the items about a week after the arrival date. Leslie the associate said I am unable to get full store credit because it was over 60 days. She asked her manager and she was also unable to get me the full credit. The item I tried to return was brand new in the plastic still and she was trying to say I was only eligible for partial credit. The only way I can get a full store credit (not even a return) is if I get in contact with customer service. They did nothing to help my situation the first or second time I came. They seemed very annoyed with me and didn't offer to do much except to tell me to contact customer service. Overall this was an extremely annoying and frustrating situation. read more

My boyfriend came here during Christmas to buy me something an already being a man in a woman's store he was uncomfortable. Not one employee offered to help him. Come on ladies stop messing up my damn gifts an get it together an do your jobs. Needless to say he left cause no one bothered to help him! read more

Very impressed with my last visit to Torrid. I was in search of a bra and was hesitant to ask staff because I was unsure if they'd know the information I needed. I was wrong! Rochelle and Bri were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. Rochelle especially was helpful by finding me the perfect bra on the first try. She even took it upon herself to check through boxes in the back to see if there was a second one for me to purchase. I appreciate this type of genuinely nice Customer service! Thank you! I've been going to this location for years and always have a great experience. The sales associates are very helpful. There's a ton of different styles of clothing, something for everyone. Torrid is one of the few fashionable plus size woman's clothing stores in the area. However I find going to the store to look and try on is the absolute worst. The racks are always jammed pack and with multiple styles on one hook. You can't really appreciate the clothing they have to offer because it's all smashed together. I can't move in the store without knocking something on the ground. Torrid clothing is expensive and while I have no problem making the investment in myself, I'd much rather try on the clothes to make sure they're right for me. I have been the KOP Torrid location multiple times and not one has been pleasant. BUT the staff is always pleasant. read more

I understand that COVID had brought a lot of stress and changes to many companies. However I wish that torrid (apparently all of them) could update their hours online. The first time I went to this location, neither online or their door had updated hours, but clearly when online (and the mall they where in) said they opened at 10, they didn't open until 11ish (I waited around for them to open). So when I went the second time I made sure to go at 11... but when I got to the door their new opening time is noon. So I went to another location that said they opened at 11, got there and again don't open I till noon. Had this been a one time thing (like the first time) I would brush it off. But with so many other companies who consistently updating their hours (due to COVID) it's frustrating that they have not taken the extra step to do this. As a company as a whole I used to exclusively only shop at torrid, they had affordable plus size clothing that would uphold after many wears... however the prices have gone up considerably and the quality has gone down. I don't want to pay $39 for a white tee shirt (nothing special) and it be see through. It's really unfortunate that this has happened over the last few years (before covid as an excuse).
