My closet is essentially all Torrid! For a curvy girl, this is the spot! I've always said, I wish a store like this would have existed when I was in high school because I would have been a lot more fashionable, but at least I can enjoy it now. I buy a lot online but when I have to step into a brick and mortar store, the Meadows Mall location is my spot. I go so often, many of the girls know me by name. Meh, this place is ok I guess.Their spanx and shirts bring all the fat girls to the yard!! Alas, I'm not one of them who likes to purchase things from here. I'm a frugal little beezy and paying 29.99 for a CLEARANCE blouse is not something I'm willing to do. Yea it has super pretty things, the clothes are nice looking, and fatties praise them but their clothes are WAY over priced and kinda fit too big. They're too wide and I know I'm a fatty but I'm not a round fatty, I'm kinda shapely. Haha. Its like a wanna-be pin-up/glam rock place. Take it from a fat girl that knows - Torrid is the best place to shop for your all of your junior clothing needs. I always go to this one because it is close to my work, but also because I enjoy chatting with the people that work here. Don't confuse Torrid with it's skinny person counterpart - Hot Topic. The clothing here is less compartmentalized into the "goth kid, emo kid, punk kid" walls that they have in Hot Topic. Torrid, on the other hand, is more about finding clothes that are not only cute but properly cut for a larger woman. The clothing in the store isn't just the same cut as other clothes made larger, it takes into account that if you have a bigger butt you need bigger pockets or else your booty will look odd. The prices are slightly cheaper than Lane Bryant and the clothing style is generally for juniors. I'm 28 and only wear conservative clothes when absolutely necessary,so Torrid is my preference of the two. Also available are shoes with wider widths/calves and jewelry for those of us with chubby fingers. XD read more

I usually stop in Torrid because they have good belts. (curvy girls like wide belts to synch in the smaller waist) The belt selection was disappointing but I stayed and tried on a lot of different things. The store is really targeted for women much younger than me (late teens, early 20s) so while I had a blast, there's very little I would actually wear. Still, I found a few items and had fun with it. Oh... and cool boots for big feet (11W) and thick calves... I was happy to find some bad-ass looking lace-ups so I could really look like an old fool with my torn up jeans and leather jacket. Great Torrid store conveniently located inside a huge shopping mall! Park at JC Pennys for easier access. I came in to find a last minute dress for clubbing. Although they had a huge selection of spring dresses, their Nightclub selection was limited. However, LIZ did an amazing job at helping me to find something to wear. While I was trying clothes on, she was searching the store for other dresses for me to try. She then helped me accessorize so it was Vegas club worthy. Friendly staff! Great selections! This place doesn't deserve 1 single star. No one helped me the entire time I was there. The employees watched from behind as I struggled to get a shirt from the top rack. The manager ignored me when I got to the front. I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed any assistance the entire time I was in the store BUT the Caucasian customers ahead of me were treated very well.. hmmm . A giant FUCK YOU to this store. I use to shop here a long time ago and stopped because a lot of their clothes were a bit emo/goth-ish for my personal taste... Now that I've come back I am so happy that they have a variety of clothes to everyone's taste/liking! It's hard enough to find nice clothes for plus size women - especially of quality - and I am very impressed! I've now been able to find business/casual work clothes, t-shirts/jeans, and even evening clothes to go out! I am so happy! They have a rewards card - free and it helps that now they have Torrid dollars to use towards your purchase; it can get a bit pricey if you dont use them and have additional coupons or shop during their sales. read more

Terrible customer service. I asked for help and had a question. Yes my question was answered but no help was given. These girls are too busy chatting at the register about the MCGregor vs MayWeather fight and pretending to fold clothing. There are guest everywhere and not one person offering help. I walked into dressing room and again. Not one person to help. But a man walked back in the ladies dressing room and no one said a word. No he was not a worker either. The girls who work here are wonderful, friendly and kind. Sadly, they sell an overpriced product. The only thing I have ever gotten from Torrid that hasn't immediately fallen apart are their shoes. (Not the ones on the hangers, either.) This is a nice store and it seems well kept but I just can't bring myself to purchase anything that's not on the clearance rack because I know it's going to turn to a big shadoob as soon as it's washed. Yes the stuff is trendy and if you have money to throw away on a wear-once shirt this place is for you. I've been going to this Torrid for years, and it's honestly been my favorite of any Torrid store I've visited (and I've been to many in several different states). The store itself is kind of small and feels a little cramped inside, but that's just because they have a ton of stuff. Hands down the best selection out of all the Torrid stores in Vegas. Their sale area always has something good in it because they stock just about EVERYTHING all the time. Plenty of clothes get put on sale at this Torrid way before they end up on sale on the website or anyone else, so it's well worth it to dig through to save money and score something before it sells out online. The only reason this isn't a five star review is that since the Lovesick store opened across the aisle from them, all the really outstanding girls who worked in Torrid have been moved over to Lovesick. I understand, Lovesick is the new brand and they want to push it so it makes sense that all the really really good salespeople are there, but it leaves the atmosphere in the mothership pretty lacking. Since the employee change I've had several instances of being ignored, being given awkward, bad advice on what sizes to try on (the super skinny girls are very nice but uuuuhhh.......), and been given blatantly wrong information about Torrid coupons and sales. There is no Yelp page for the Torrid's at the Galleria Mall. I wonder why??? The store manager Amanda kept my money. I was 3 days late on the 60 day return policy. All the tags were on the clothes and I had the original bag and receipt. I explained I have been sick but she didn't care. I didn't read the fine print on the receipt and no one in the store told me about the 60 day return policy. Now I have a gift card for $220.81. They have stollen my money. I paid cash when I purchased the items. I am sure if I had used there store credit card they would have retuned the items. I will never step foot back in that store. Quality of the clothing is poor and poor customer service. They deserve no stars read more
