Her dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out, and we hope management recognizes what an asset she is. Carolina proudly shared that every item on the menu is made in‑house, and it absolutely shows. My wife ordered the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Arroz Mexicano and couldn't stop talking about the exceptional flavors. I chose the Tostada al Pastor, a small Tortilla Soup, and a side salad. Everything was delicious, but the Tortilla Soup was the star of the meal--a perfect example of why in‑house preparation matters. Since we're not from the area, we weren't sure where to go for lunch, and we truly lucked out choosing Don Maguey--and having Carolina as our server. Thank you, Carolina. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

Mauricio was at the bar and we definitely missed being under his attention by not sitting there. Eliezer (the Venezuelan waiter from Mérida) took care of us in the dining room. Both are always very friendly and attentive. This time we decided to sit in the dining room because we were a group of three and had a lot to talk about. The place has 4 TVs and we were able to enjoy the France vs Spain match. We all ordered La Tropical Draft beer, a light, smooth, and very refreshing blonde. In total we had 16 beers . We shared nachos with grilled steak, which were very good (they pour the melted cheese right at the table). We also ordered tripa tacos well toasted (that's the technique) as we requested, and they came out excellent. Note: They have different promotions or offers depending on the day, not a regular happy hour variety, so it's good to be aware of that.
