Very kids/toddler-friendly. The sizeable shallow end has several sprinklers/splash fountains for children to play in, and there are slides on both the kiddie and adult sides. Also a playground in the back (not affiliated with the pool). There are always many life guards on duty every time I've gone. The pool is accessible only to Clarkstown residents and their guests, so if you're not a resident befriend someone who is. You must obtain a Clarkstown resident ID card first at the registration office at 31 Zukor Road in New City. (The pool won't simply accept a driver's license.) Rates can be either daily or seasonal for individuals or family, and are very reasonable compared to similar community pools.

On a recent visit it was nice to see that the previous snake-ridden den of iniquity has long been been replaced with a legitimate pool and that the mythological beasts of years past have been slayed by chlorine and actual cement walls. You can even see right to the bottom. What a concept. This is what Nanuet Lake should have been like all along... no thanks whatsoever to my parents who thought this was some tough love version of Shangri La, albeit minus the all consuming bliss one often finds in paradise. I kid about my parents (almost) and am happy to bestow five easy stars for a childhood reclaimed. I still hate snakes.

It has lap lanes pool, kiddie pool, diving pool and sliding pools. The shower / changing rooms are maintained. The manicured lawn is complete with beautiful landscapes. Depew Park - One of Peekskill's Hidden Gems!…read more I was here today with my grandson, and days like this remind me just how fortunate we are to have a place like Depew Park right here in Peekskill. There's so much space to enjoy, whether you're bringing the kids, exercising, playing sports, having a picnic, or simply looking for somewhere peaceful to spend some time outdoors. Depew really has a little bit of everything. There's the playground for the kids, Veterans Memorial Pool for those hot summer days, basketball and tennis courts, bocce courts, horseshoe pits, ball fields, a track, picnic areas, grills, restrooms, and a beautiful picnic pavilion overlooking Lake Mitchell. There are also wooded walking and nature trails that give you a completely different experience from the recreational side of the park. ‍ One of my favorite things about Depew is that you can go from watching kids play on the playground or people playing sports to walking into the wooded areas and feeling like you've gotten away from the city for a while. It's a great place to walk, exercise, explore, relax, or just sit and enjoy nature. The park is also home to Peekskill's Recreation Office and Mother Nature's Preschool, and the City continues to invest in improvements. The multi-sport field, track, tennis/pickleball areas and other recreational spaces make this a park that can really be enjoyed by people of all ages. But today, for me, it was simply about being here with my grandson. Making memories, enjoying the outdoors, and appreciating a beautiful local park right here in our own community. Depew Park is truly one of Peekskill's treasures. Is it the nicest tennis facility in the region? No, but it is the friendliest and most fun. The leagues, instruction by the pros and pick up games are all with like minded tennis addicts, and super enjoyable. USTA League teams have made it to Regionals, Sections and National championships! And the staff -- Donna, Bill, Val, Steph -- is the most accommodating, they are like family. There is racquetball facilities downstairs, and a full gym with weights because as Bill says, you have to stay strong to play tennis! AND they have a bar! So after a fun night of tennis, you can relax in the lounge with a Sam Adams or a Shock Top and a plate of pretzels... A day or evening of tennis at Orange Hollow really is one of the best parts of my day!
