Nice area to play baseball and kids friendly playground that clearly states that parents must be supervising the kiddies at all times . There is a elementary school steps from the park which is closed now due to the coronavirus mess which explains no little brats running around. Not a big park but it's spacious enough for folks to bring the kids , play a little baseball , have a no grilling picnic or just enjoy being outdoors when weather permits .

Plenty of parking although it is paid via the Tarrytown parking app. Playgrounds are a bit dated but in great shape. Everything has soft, spongy ground around it. Good variety for different ages too. Haven't done the splash pad yet because it's winter but it is pretty sizable. Good amount of kids around here without it being overwhelming. Maybe not the most built up park in the area, but my toddler loves it and so do I.

Grandson back for a visit this year, wanted to go back! Zipcar got more expensive, so I followed the directions on their website using public transportation. DON'T! The website says take Metronorth to White Plains and then a Bee-line bus, #6, to the Dam Plaza. We found the bus stop, and the schedule said 11:43. Perfect, right? Not. 12:43 came and went. Other buses came and went. The #6 never showed up, so finally we took a taxi for $20.00. Took 10 minutes to get there. Better to take a train to Valhalla and walk the less than a mile or Uber for 8.95 or something like that. Watch the schedule for going back to Grand Central, because in the afternoon it seems to run just once an hour. Plan accordingly. Otherwise we had a good time.

His vision was of a theatrical, magnificent landscape blending Indo-Persian, ancient Greek, Roman, and Italian Renaissance designs. When I was last here in 2013, the Untermyer gardens looked sadly desolate and neglected. Today, the gardens have been restored to their true remarkable glory thanks 100% to generous donations in the millions. We could not have chosen a more perfect day to visit the celebrated historical Untermyer Gardens overlooking the Hudson on this glorious Labor Day Monday. I took many photos which do not do justice to the gorgeous scope and details of the beautiful manicured 43 acres. ***Open 7AM to 7PM - seasonally.*** There's more information on their website and QR codes at the entrance with rules to respect the environment. Untermyer Gardens is one of the most beautiful hidden gems in the New York area. Admission is completely free, although donations are accepted to help preserve this incredible place--which is amazing considering how well maintained it is. It's the perfect destination to spend about two hours, whether you want to enjoy a peaceful stroll, take plenty of photos, or do a little of both. The breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the Palisades make the visit even more memorable. There's also plenty of free parking, which makes getting there easy. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that it can get fairly crowded on beautiful weekends, but it's absolutely worth visiting and returning to throughout the year.

There are also some picnic tables past the entrance, where you can enjoy your meal and you can take in a cute view of a waterfall by the pond. As far as COVID is concerned, folks on either side of the path- whether walking, running or bike riding- ALL kept their masks! If you're looking for an intense hike- count this one out. And if tranquil is something you're after, with an easy stroll, VE is very doable.
