Absolute Dumpster Fire - Stay Away…read more My family has been with State Farm for decades and Leslie for 16 years. After all theses years, we decided that we wanted to reduce our auto insurance bill by removing some extra coverage that we never really used. With inflation eating into our savings, we needed to adjust. Specifically, I wanted to get rid of comp and collision coverage for our second car which was about 60% of our bill. Reasonable enough of a request right. When we contacted Leslie, she fought us on removing the coverage. We were upset that she was trying to make decisions for us. We persisted and it took her 3 weeks to get us a simple quote with comp and collision removed. Also, this was for a 2nd vehicle. After requesting quotes from other insurance companies, we got a pleasure classification from them due to its low annual mileage. When we emailed her why it was taking so long to get a quote, this was her angry response: -- "You had me do so many different quotes last week-and you kept going back and forth with what you wanted. The only mistake I made was not removing the comp and collision. The classification of pleasure/school/work is ONE classification. I cannot remove the "school/work" it is ALL THE SAME. The other classification of FARM does NOT apply to your rating. It has taken so long to quote because you have gone back and forth with what you have asked for. I will send another quote without comp and collision shortly." -- We were confused. All we asked for was one quote and the Only thing we initially asked for the removal of comp/collision. We never asked her to do anything else and it was her that was bringing up random things and complicating our simple request for a quote. She muddied-up the water. Also, I was unsatisfied that she said State Farm has no pleasure only or 2nd vehicle only classification when other companies did. It makes no sense. So I had to go out of my way and contact State Farm Customer Service to Fact Check her claims. And low and behold, customer service said that state farm has a low mileage discount to compete with other companies pleasure only classification. I emailed her saying just that and no response. Rather than giving us the discount, she wrote a confusing and almost non-sensical email about cancelling our insurance with state farm. We had one week before our insurance ended and she was asking for our Confirmation to start the lengthy process to cancel and pro-rate our insurance. One week before our insurance was set to renew, she was trying to get us to cancel our insurance. WHY? We never asked to cancel our insurance. Was she Confused? Was she acting in Bad-faith? I don't know what her Mental state was for her to try to Unilaterally cancel our auto insurance One week before it ended. Obviously we said No, we don't want to cancel our auto insurance one week before it ends. Again, we asked for a quote with the low-mileage discount applied. She didn't respond and went on "vacation". She just left us hanging while insurance ended and renewed. We contacted State Farm Customer Service again and explained the situation. We were Shocked to find out that Leslie went ahead and made changes to policy. She removed comp/collision but didn't give us the low-mileage discount. Without my Permission, she Single-handedly made decisions on our policy coverage. She asked us for confirmation to Cancel our policy, but did not ask for my Consent to accept the new quote. I would have said no because the quote was still missing the discount that I qualified for. It is as ridiculous as if someone asked for a quote from multiple insurance companies and without further communication, all those insurance companies sends them an insurance bill for every quote. Utterly ridiculous. This was one of the most outrageous things I have experienced in my life. And it concerns something as serious and important as insurance. I don't trust Leslie, I am concerned about her mental state, and at the end of the day she's not worth the headache. We are in the process of getting a new agent and talking about our options with State Farm. Just stay away from Leslie Kight Insurance.
