We experienced a lot of turnover at a previous school while our son was on the LMP waitlist, but now we know exactly who will be there and that he'll be well cared for and loved each day. It's not uncommon during a weekend adventure for our son to ask to share something he's doing with a teacher. He looks at his teachers like family and is always excited to get back to school each Monday. The activities and curriculum are great as well. Weekly themes tie the art, science, and dramatic play together. The activities are creative and exciting for the kids, and he always comes home wanting to learn more. Covid has presented many childcare challenges, and LMP has navigated the pandemic incredibly well. They have been clear on protocols, communicated well, and we've always felt that our son will be as safe as he possibly could be at a preschool. We appreciate how seriously they have handled the health and safety of our child over the past 2 years. We can't recommend LMP enough and will miss it when he moves to Kindergarten this summer. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Haley and her wonderful staff!

As a self-proclaimed picky mom with high standards, I can honestly say this school has exceeded my expectations. When I drop my daughter off, it doesn't feel like I'm leaving her at a daycare--it feels more like she's spending the day at a loving grandma's house. The teachers are incredibly kind, diverse, and attentive. Every week they create enriching activities like gym, science, music, Spanish, art, and crafts. They celebrate holidays, embrace diversity and inclusion, and bring so much creativity into the classroom. The spacious backyard is another highlight--kids spend plenty of time outdoors, playing, exploring, and enjoying fresh air every day. What I love most is the sense of community--parents are engaged, educated, and involved in participation programs. We felt so supported that even though my daughter was accepted into two TK programs, we chose to keep her here for another year. If you're looking for a nurturing, joyful, and inspiring place for your little one, I can't recommend Discover Montessori enough!

The teachers are kind, proficient in Montessori education and easy to talk to. The outdoor classroom provides lots of space for kids to run around and even features a new beautiful mural care of the 2024 graduates! The indoor classroom was also recently renovated and is bright and clean. DM requires 20 parent involvement program (PIP) hours per family each year. The PIP hours encourage community at DM and I've gotten to know other families at the school as a result. There are opportunities to earn PIP hours by serving on the board, cleaning the yard & school, baking, sewing, laundry, arts/crafts, or even showing up to events!

The community is unmatched- loving, thoughtful, supportive. A lot of family members don't understand the Waldorf method of teaching and make jokes, but my kids are both strong readers with curious minds about every subject. They offer Spanish, choir, strings, and band as part of their regular curriculum along with gardening, movement, etc. The students are taught in a way that offers a depth of understanding that other schools simply don't have the time to teach. Rather than doing a written project about catapults, for example, they actually build one. We love this school and community and are confident our kids will be very well prepared for what comes next.

I chose Camellia Waldorf very intentionally for my daughter. I loved the Waldorf philosophy and…read moretruly thought this would be a school and community we would be part of for years. It was also a significant financial investment for our family, one I was willing to make because I believed in what the school represented. Unfortunately, our kindergarten year ended in a way I never expected. The turning point was when I witnessed my daughter's teacher, Ms. Olga, physically pull/drag my daughter by her legs out of the classroom and leave her in the hallway. After talking with my daughter afterward, she told me this was not the first time Ms. Olga had pulled her out of the classroom that way and left her in the hallway. As a parent, that was extremely upsetting to learn. The school told me they investigated the incident. When I later asked about the outcome of that investigation, I was told the details were private information, but that Ms. Olga would no longer do that. I understand there may be privacy limitations regarding an employee, but being told essentially that it wouldn't happen again left me with more questions than reassurance, especially after learning from my daughter that it had happened before. I wasn't asking for anyone to be fired or trying to create a huge issue. I simply asked that my daughter be moved to another kindergarten classroom for the last six weeks of school. They offered Ms. Haley's class, but that class still shared time and activities with Ms. Olga's class. I asked for the other kindergarten classroom so my daughter could actually be separated from the situation, and the school would not accommodate that. My daughter ultimately stayed home for the remainder of kindergarten. What disappointed me even more was what happened afterward. My daughter and I were initially invited to the Fly Away Ceremony. After I emailed the school expressing my disappointment that they couldn't find another classroom for her, I was told it would be best if I did not attend. As a parent, I should be able to respectfully question a school's decision and advocate for my child without feeling like that makes me unwelcome. There are things about Waldorf education that I still love, and I know other families may have completely different experiences. I can only speak about ours. I just wish that when something this serious happened, there had been more accountability and more effort to find a solution for my daughter instead of her losing the last weeks of her kindergarten year.

There is low staff turnover, which means the teachers who are there know what they are doing and love what they do. The environment is warm and inviting and the children's minds are stimulated with different activities. By the time your child is through, he/she will be able to read the alphabet, a few words, and write his/her full name, along with other things. This place really has the right balance between academics and letting kids simply enjoy being kids. The staff really helps support you through those milestones (potty training, etc.) and does a good job re-directing "naughty" behavior. My son is sweet, but very energetic and they did a terrific job helping him to focus and work as well as learn good social interaction skills. What can I say? This place is a gem and I am very, very grateful that my son spent the first years of his life at Land Park Infant Center and Preschool.

I was a prospective parent, and toured the facility, met with the team and got on the waitlist back in January of 2026. I verified if texting the number I communicated with them to coordinate my site visit was the best method going forward and they said yes. They said there was a very good chance for students to be transitioning out of the preschool program and that we would most likely be able to start in July. After that it got pretty disorganized in my opinion. I had to ask for verification that I was on the waitlist, which was just texted to me "You are on the preschooler waitlist" I followed up via text March 2026 and was ignored. I followed up again in April and was told there was no movement, which was understandable. I followed up again in May, and was completely ghosted. I found cheaper and more reliable communication with other facilities.
