Everyone here was extremely friendly and very supportive. I came in with a urinary tract issue and immediately had a sample taken and imaging soon after. All of the care team took my complaints seriously and did everything they could to make me comfortable, even when I was waiting for my imaging to be analyzed. Despite the fact that they were busy and I had to wait half an hour for imaging analysis, I feel like it went pretty fast. They also saved me 12+ hours of pain by providing my antibiotic in-store rather than sending it to my pharmacy that wouldn't be open until the next day. I'll absolutely come back next time I have an urgent health issue. read more

On Saturday 6/8/2024 my husband was stung on ankle by what we are thinking was a wasp or hornet. Been stung a dozen times but this time was different! He immediately started breaking out in whelps/hives/redness over entire body. As a nurse I knew this was not good! Stopped at TAUC in Oakville and was sent away as we didn't have appointment. She did call the Afton TAUC and they were able to see us!! Walked in and was in room in 5 minutes with evaluation completed and blood drawn. About 15 minutes after arrival my husband went into ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK! Thank GOD we had the team we had as they saved his life. They administered EPI and steroids and they SAVED HIS LIFE! EMS took him to MERCY shortly after this happening. If we would have checked in ER he might have been sitting in ER waiting area waiting to be seen! We were in the right place at the right time! Came in with what I suspect was severe traveler's diarrhea. I WAS given fluids but doc refused to treat me with broad spectrum antibiotic till lab tests came back. Fast forward another week of suffering and lab tests still not back! I seem to be getting better on my own but they just left me to suffer. Piss poor patient care. On top of that, they still owe me a 74$ credit from 3 months ago for overcharging me. They keep telling me the preverbal "checks in the mail". One of the worst urgent care experiences I have had, though my visit barely qualifies as an experience. This place makes the VA look like a glorious bastion of medical care. I hurt my back Saturday morning while visiting the STL area. Being from out of town, and not wanting to completely derail my last full day, I opted for the closest Urgent Care to where we were staying. I feel like going to an urgent care facility is a conscious decision to trade level of care for speed, which is warranted in some cases. This being one of them. Standards being calibrated accordingly, I drove over to Total Access. When I arrived, the lady with an Eastern European accent aggressively asked me if I had signed up on the waiting list. Waiting list? I told her that no, I came over as soon as I needed to be seen. "Why do you need to be seen?" She asked, again aggressively. I hesitated for a moment because there were other staff members and at least two other patients waiting to check out literally five feet from me, all staring at me as if also awaiting my response. She grew increasingly impatient with my hesitation. "Um, I hurt my back." "How did you hurt your back?" Ok, is that really relevant to someone in the lobby? Is that going to influence my place in line? I could obviously barely walk, so whether it was bending over, lifting weights, or playing tiddlywinks, I was clearly in a lot of pain. "We are full today." Full today? All day? Urgent Care? I looked around puzzled, thinking I may have walked into the wrong place. She told me she would take my info and I could sit in my car "until later." The "until later" part was a direct quote. "What does later mean?" I asked. She proceeded to not answer my question, but to re-explain how they were full today. I again asked exactly what "later" means? "Are we talking hours?" No, she attempted to callously reassure me in her own charming way. "15 to 30 minutes. We need to get some people checked out." I got an automated text from them as I was leaving with a link I could use to see my place in line. I was 30th. I sat in my car for about 40 minutes, at which point the pain was unbearable to the point I could no longer sit in the car seat. Unfortunately, it was 100 degrees outside, so standing was also not an option. The waiting room was closed because seeing patients doesn't spread COVID, but patients in waiting rooms does. So, I left. I was still 30th in line nearly 40 minutes later. That's right, not a single patient had been seen and yes, I was refreshing the page. I checked an hour later and I was all the way up to a staggering 27th. Two hours later I was all the way up to 25th! Took three hours to make it to 20th, and at the four hour mark I had nearly made it halfway through the line to 16th. Now that is one heckuva 15-30 minute wait for Urgent Care! A search of the other nearby Total Access locations before leaving the parking lot had told me they were all also "Full Today." Unfortunately, I got hurt too late in the morning to get on the waiting list. Read: make an appointment. Moral of the story here: if you truly need "urgent" care, you're probably better off going to the emergency room. Otherwise, make an appointment! Oh, and hope that your issue isn't something sensitive in nature that you don't want broadcasted to the entire lobby! Another thing... the Google reviews of Total Access are nearly perfect out of A LOT of reviews. However, a quick look at nearly any other source will reveal a very mixed bag and many less reviews. I'm not saying they're doing anything weird with their reviews, but the negative reviews in the other sources (rude staff, wait times, etc) do seem to be more commensurate with what I actually witnessed in person as opposed to the short and vague "This is the best place in the history of the world!" reviews you find on Google. Anywho, good luck! And in case you're wondering, I finally received a text at 5:45 pm asking if I still needed to be seen, but I was already dead. [shrug] read more

Trying to figure out why Total Access Urgent Care posts their hours when for the full last hour of business they 1) don't answer their phones, 2) don't accept online appointments, and 3) turn walkins away unless they have a "life threatening" issue!! Extremely pointless and I felt even worse for the elderly woman after me who was also tossed out! I came in without an appointment, in tears due to severe ear pain. The receptionist was incredibly kind, reassuring, patient and helpful to explain what I needed to fill out/ provide. The emt that did my vitals/ shot in the end was also fantastic, patient, kind, listened thoroughly, even while I'm blubbering and blowing my nose the whole time (mind you they are moving super fast because I had 30 min till I had to pick up a kiddo) The nurse practitioner was quick, efficient, kind, listened and got me my treatment and discharge paperwork together stat. Explained the best way to elevate pain/ discomfort while waiting for meds to take care of the issue. They were amazing start to finish. I will continue to use this urgent care any time I need one. This is probably the best urgent care experience I have ever had!!! A week ago I badly sprained my ankle, and was putting off seeking treatment because usually sprains just require rest and ice, but I gave in after the swelling went down and revealed significant bruising, so at the urging of my friends, I got into the virtual line. Pro tip: if you are sorting for a specific service like I was, x-rays in this case, make sure that you read down the alphabetical list of locations because that confused me and that's why I went to the one further from my house. I am not very intelligent first thing in the morning, haha. anyway, the virtual line moved quite fast! I checked in at 10:12 AM and it was just past 10:30 when I arrived at the place, second in line! so don't do what I did and wait a little bit before you leave if you are injured... I forgot how long it takes me to get out the door when one of my feet doesn't work! when I arrived in the parking lot, I hopped on 1 foot out of the drivers seat to fetch my crutches from the back, and before I could get to open the hatch, a cheerful voice called from the direction of the facility, "Would you like some help?" two friendly staff members came out with a wheelchair and helped me into it and wheeled me straight up to the desk for check in! check-in was quick and painless, with minimal paperwork ! they took three x-ray views each of the foot and ankle, and the nurse practitioner was super friendly and understanding while maintaining the vibe of a seasoned professional, making me feel extremely comfortable and confident! after she examined my ankle and double checked the x-rays based on my feedback,, she delivered the beautiful news that there were no sprains or fractures, and gave me firm but kind instructions on how to speed up my recovery! she asked questions about my work situation (freelance) and use that to decide to give me an ankle brace instead of a boot, since I'm not required to work long shifts on my feet. A sweet young man came to fit me with the ankle brace and show me how to use it. he was also very friendly and kind and full of helpful tips! they wheeled me all the way back to my vehicle and made sure I climbed in OK when I was done! I told them as someone who is very independent and not used to being taken care of by others, I felt like royalty that day! I noticed that this particular location didn't have the best reviews, but they must be doing something better because I had a great experience! 10/10 would recommend! read more

Great service! I called the Gravois location inquiring about the wait time. The receptionist Cory stated there was a room waiting for me. Upon arriving I was immediately escorted to one of the rooms. With in 5 minutes a NA came in and took my vitals. Shortly after that the Doctor arrives. She performed the necessary test, the diagnosis was made, and I left the facility. The entire staff was very efficient and professional. If the need arises, I will be back. read more

Very poor service. I arrived in mid-afternoon and put on a wait-list There were 16 people ahead of me. I was told when I was 2nd in line to return, which was 2 hours later. I had to wait in the car and I was not allowed in until I was number 1 in queue. When my slot came up, I was still not allowed in, until I received a text. 20 minutes passed and no text. I finally left, whole process of 3 hours and no service. When checking on my turn, several people came in, and were turned away. The place was not closing for 3 hours. Went to this location for a flu shot. Was able to check in and come back when they text me that I was up. While I was waiting in the lobby to get registered a delivery man came in and talked to the front desk staff as he was walking beyond the reception area. He returned in a few minutes still talking to the staff as he walked out. Delivery guy did not have on a mask and did not appear to have one in his possession. No one from TAUC told him anything about a mask. I assume they didn't care that he could have been spraying droplets from the front to the back of the facility. I asked the lady that registered me why the delivery man was not required to wear a mask. She just shrugged her shoulders. I'll never go back to a TAUC as they seem to have a total disregard for COVID safety for their patients and staff. read more

Just went in to have my son seen, spoke my mind about the owner and his outrageous prices for everything. Told the woman at the desk I knew it was not her fault and told her I had to transfer money. She handed me the paperwork, I said "oh I need to look that up too" referring to his social security number. She then said with an attitude "I don't have the attitude; you do" I guess she misunderstood what I had said but would not believe me that i didn't accuse her of having one. She handed me back my card and told me to leave. I don't know why I even bothered, I hate this place but it was the closest and fastest service that I could get for my child. All of this happened in front of him by the way. I will never return to any of these horrible establishments again. After arriving 6 mins before they closed on 4/17/23, I asked the front desk lady, am I too late to see someone as I have glass stuck in my eye and I can't see out of it? She ensured it wasn't a problem and proceeded to find me in their system to register me. After handing me the document to verify my information was correct, the nurse came to tell us the Provider is no long accepting patients after 7:56 pm (8 pm is their close time). I asked kindly and desperately can he/she pretty please see me as I can barely see, my eye is swollen/red and you can clearly tell it's painful. Plus, I didn't have to drive too far to get there. After double checking with the Provider it was still a clear no. I'm appalled by this experience and can't believe they wouldn't help me. It's no wonder why people are losing faith in the healthcare systems because they have horrible/lazy Providers who should be in fact going above and beyond to help others in a time of need! In lieu of refusing service and sending patients away prior to their closing time. If there was an issue, the front desk should have informed me in the beginning when I inquired about getting seen or they should have locked the front door early. Not matter what-this is not acceptable and I'll never go back there again or recommend this place EVER!! read more

I scheduled an online appointment to get a covid test, which was quick and easy. But everything else about this visit was not. The site says a covid test takes 20 mintues to process, but I was sitting in my examination room for an hour from the time I got tested to the time I got my results. When the doctor finally came in, he was more concerned with turning on the TV in my room (???) than actually telling me what my results were... "you were negative, by the way," and then proceeded to voice his political opinions which was just completely out of left field. The check-in process, receptionist staff, and nurses were all extremely nice and helpful, but the overall process took WAY too long and the doctor seemed less than professional. read more

I went in because the news said they were doing covid antibody tests. I made an appt. the receptionist is not wearing a mask. I'm pregnant, so going to places- especially like this- already raise my anxiety. Even though I made an appt and arrived early, I waited 25 mins for someone to see me. Then he tells me that I have to be medically evaluated before my blood draw. I did tell the the person who did the short medical eval, that I was just looking to get in and out with being pregnant, etc. she understood and then things picked up. Overall, not a terrible experience but with taking the time to make an appt and arrive early, I'm a little disappointed in how this went. read more

I came in for an antibody test. This was my first visit to this location but I've been to another location and every time the staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I was told yesterday to check in online for a covid test today. I checked in at 6:02am and was 9th in line. At 8am ( when they open) I went from 9th to 6th so I headed to the TAUC in Affton on Gravois. I waited 40 minutes and no movement on my place in line but noticed a few people were walking in and not coming out to wait in there car. I called to question the walk ins. The lady told me that the elderly can just come in. Interesting, I saw who was going in and it was middle aged folks. I'm 62 so I know what elderly looks like. I was told to just go back home till I get notification that I am 2nd in line and so I went home. Finally at noon I got my notification and went back. I was there by 12:15pm. I waited till after 1pm to go in to register then spent 45 minutes before anyone assisted me. Three times someone stuck their head in the door to ask if I was okay. I would say no I'm tired of this waiting. I was told they had emergencies. Finally at 1:30 I was given the test. I asked how long for the results. Was told 10 minutes. Thirty-five minutes later I stuck my head out the door and demanded my results. I was told they would be with me soon. Ten more minutes went by and I received my results. Very poor service. I will never go there again and I will let everyone I know about this experience. It tough enough being sick and wondering if it COVID ( I am vaccinated) but to wait this long is unacceptable, poor quality service. Don't use Total Access Urgent Care! read more

Thank you Joe Biden , this is what our health care system has dissolved down to under your leadership. Every off the street medical facility in the country is over run to the point that people go without medical care versus waiting 4 hours virtually then 2 more hours in Gravois Total Access UC on 9-5-22 to watch young clueless staff do everything but medical care. It is a joke, a going through the motions like they know what they are doing, but they don't. They can not take a blood sample, they take an x-ray , but have no one who can read the x-ray. They need to be investigated for medicare fraud . The goal is not medical care . The only goal is medical charges and medical fees. Medical licenses need to be checked , they are no where to be seen. One gentleman finally came in and actually administered medical care after we demanded the one of two physician assistants available be relieved like a baseball pitcher. Looking at medical treatment, the same facility had done four days earlier , was asking too much of the PA that I asked to be relieved, proving , all they care about is charging for medical care , not actually giving medical care. The other tip off is, they have trouble talking with people. That is the repeated cause of all the one star, worst urgent care experience ever had.
