Horrible. Took my sister there Monday. We had an appt, yet we waited for two hours for "care". Amanda was lovely, yet no one took her temperature until later, despite complaining about a fever. No covid or flu test. The bathrooms were filthy. I have pictures, bc I was so appalled. All the practitioner did when she came in was make excuses about the system and it being a training day. I did not want to hear it. I had a sister in pain who was not receiving care. Total Access should be ashamed to call that healthcare. We left and I took her to the ER instead. Hire someone to clean! I went here when I broke my finger last summer and gave this place a great review. went back with back pain. I was helped by a woman who didn't tell me who she was or what her title was. she didn't even examine my back or give me an xray. She actually told me to go back to my chiropractor after I told her he didn't help me. she gave me a drug for pain that wasn't as strong as my Tylenol and Advil. I ended up at my dr with an xray. she couldn't have given a crap about me or my health. after complaining of course they billed me. read more

Beware!! This place is trying to charge me $100 on a bill from 6 months ago that was self pay and paid in full the day of! Now I randomly owe another $100? I've never received a bill from them for this either. Spent over an hour on the phone last week and was told I wouldn't be charged since I disputed it. The guy told me to wait 3-5 days and I had to call them back. And now this morning, I have a $100 charge on my account from them and the dispute wasn't filed! Worst experience I've had for pre screening, period only here to pee inside of a cup so I can start my job. my 4pm appointment keeps getting pushed back ans I've been sitting here since 3:30 now going on five O'clock. This place is a pretend medical facility. They care more about going home for dinner than they do about patient care. I arrived with my very sick son tonight at 7:40pm knowing they are open until 8pm. The lobby was empty with no patients waiting, but they turned us away because they leave at 8pm. Absolutely a laughable place of business. Fortunately, the incredible professional medical providers as Missouri Baptist Pediatric ER were able to provide medical care. Don't waste your time at TAUC. No recommendations on what to do or where else to go to get tested. **Ended up going to Mercy Urgent Care the same day & got results back today (less than 48 hrs later). I was taken in immediately and they got to work asap. I had no idea what was going on just that I was in pain and it wasn't slowing down. There were probably 6 caregivers that were tending to me making sure I was ok and had everything I needed. They slowly encouraged me to work towards everything they needed to figure out how to help me and they did way faster than any hospital or urgent care has. The call in for the wait list was super convenient and easy to figure out I would definitely recommend doing so if need be. read more

We went to the TAUC in South County in March of 2019. We gave our insurance information during the visit and we're not presented a bill for any balance owed. Fast forward to September 2020. I received a Collection of Delinquent Account notice in the mail. When I called and spoke with the billing department I was told I should have received a bill in the mail, an email and a text message. I have received emails about taking a survey regarding the visit and emails to inform TAUC is now open during the Covid pandemic. I received nothing from TAUC indicating I had a balance owed, except this notice claiming litigation and the matter being turned over to collections. Terrible communication and customer service. I would not recommend TAUC unless you want a surprise notice talking about litigation, damaged credit score and collections without ever receiving a bill for services. Response: You claim you send email and text when a balance is due...never happened. Just a notice for collection of delinquent account. Had we been made aware of a balance prior, it would have been paid right away. Like I said, terrible customer service, with no communication from TAUC. read more

I visited to get tested for covid-19, I was told that my results would take 3-6 days. On day 2 I got a message saying my results would be delayed. On day 12 I contacted the lab because I still have not gotten results, within 12 hours they had my results and it also said they resulted 2 days prior. I am now on day 13 and still have not heard anything from TAUC. While I was waiting to be tested, I had to wait a very long time in a room where you could hear the staff joking and having normal conversations instead of seeing patients. As someone that works in the medical field this seems very unprofessional. Overall I would not go back. read more

This location at Lamplighter plaza is amazing. I have been there multiple times over the years and always had a positive experience. The staff are caring and efficient. The location is so clean! My primary care doctor has been pretty disappointing while I've had Covid for almost a month. But Dr. Dimitri at urgent care was so kind and so patient with me. They helped me so much. I am completely impressed with this new-to-the-area Urgent Care! I felt the TLC as soon as I walked in the door. I was in and out in just a tad over an hour, and I arrived about 4 pm on a Thursday. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful - from check-in/out to the PA to the doctor. As a new patient, I've seen that it's easy to for Urgent Care sites to treat you as a faceless number. The staff here took time to speak with me about some history of why I was there. They really took time to see me as a person and not just another unknown patient. The location is in Lamplighter Square. So while the strip mall is not new, this business to the spot is. Inside is clean, organized, and from what I could tell comprehensive. I had a chest x-ray for bronchitis, and it was just 2 doors down from examining. Within minutes, they read the x-ray, and I was back speaking to the doc. I was in and out, easy-peasy! I will gladly return, and I highly recommend this Urgent Care location for your (impromptu or other) TLC health care! read more

Before going here, the day before I went to my primary that had me 'drive through' to get swabbed for strep and Covid and flu- which all ended up being negative and did not help my problem. After a night of no sleep I was so miserable, I joined TAUC online waitlist as it opened at 6am and got the first spot in line for when they opened at 8am. HIGHLY suggest getting on the online waitlist or seeing how long the wait is instead of just walking in, plus it's super easy and convenient. The staff was very nice to me and got me back right away. It was reassuring to have them assess what pain and discomfort I was in person and take their time to see what I felt was best for me for treatment options. They gave a steroid shot, sent in medication and I was able to pick it up on my way home from my pharmacy. It was reassuring to feel cared for! read more

This is nothing but just a money grab here. All's I need it was chest x-ray so my doctor could read it and make a diagnosis if necessary. But here you have to see their doctor as well so they can bill you for a full visit. So typical here get as much money as you can out of each patient. read more

I took my 6 year old here today and I would not recommend coming to this location as of November 2022 due to safety concerns and lack of clinical judgment and compassion by the staff. My son had nausea and vomiting and could not keep anything down. The waitlist was full to book online so I called the clinic to see if they were taking anymore patients for the rest of the shift. The person on the phone said yes since it was a pediatric patient. The check in process was smooth but then we waited 40 minutes for a tech to come get vitals. Another 30 minutes went by and a different tech came in and asked me, " the PA is busy and going to be a little longer would you like any tests run?" I said well he has not been assessed but his symptoms might be the flu so you can get a flu swab. That situation was odd to me that they were asking a patient what CLIA tested to run. The PA came in 25 minutes later, assessed him and said that she didn't think he needed IV fluids but that she could give him a dose of zofran. I said ok. 30 more minutes went by and no medication. My son started vomiting pretty badly so I went to the desk (where a lot of staff were just sitting around) and I said my son is vomiting how much longer do we need to wait for the medication?The tech went to get the PA who then looked at my son and said we should try an IV. The tech came in to start the IV and I noticed that when he inserted the catheter there was not much blood return. He proceeded to start the fluids and within a second my son's arm started swelling from the infiltrated IV. I told him to stop the infusion which he did. I then told him I need to speak with someone in charge now. The PA came in pretty quickly I told her the situation and said I just want the zofran and want to leave. I wasted 3 1/2 hours of my time for nothing. My son is still Ill and now has a swollen arm. read more

I came to this Urgent Care last Friday morning during the height of the Covid testing. The place was swamped, but they processed a boat-load of patients in short order and everyone I dealt with was very nice and professional. The nurse that attended to me, Amanda, was outstanding! She went above and beyond the call of duty to explain everything and cheerfully answered all my questions, which I am sure she had been asked 1000 times before. I give TAUC 4 stars, but Amanda gets 5 stars. She is very impressive and a real asset to this office! I would definitely recommend this urgent care. read more

This is an excellent urgent care facility. The speed of service, the friendliness of all the healthcare professionals, the cleanliness of the facility, and the quality of care was top notch. The only negative thing was that the radiology tech did not give me a lead apron to wear, as I assisted my child in the patient X ray room. I had to hold his broken arm in the exam room, as the radiology tech took two X rays from an enclosed room. My son was wearing a lead apron, but I was not offered one. Scattered radiation is not a joke. As a parent assisting a patient in the X ray room, I should have been protected, too. Not only was this unprofessional, but this is a safety violation, too. Thank God I was not pregnant. Aside from that, this urgent care facility is still an excellent one-stop-shop for an urgent medical need that does not require an ER visit We were seen right away, we were checked in with no issues, we had minimal forms to fill out, we received an X ray and a CD for the X ray, a prompt dose of pain medication delivered upon request, and at the end of the visit, I received an itemized receipt, a print out describing the diagnosis, and follow up recommendations, just like in a standard ER visit, for a fraction of the cost. And the friendliness of the staff could not be beat. All of the 6 different healthcare professionals I met with that day - every single person - was super nice. My previous review got deleted. I do not recommend this clinic. The doctor was complacent and unhelpful. Complete apathy, wouldn't give me any directions except to continue doing what I was doing that wasn't working. I had a joint injury, the mark was black and blue. The PA or Dr who checked me out jabbed me in said bruise. I was not happy. 1.) he didn't seem to have read my record/chart because I only go to an urgent care if I've had a clumsy accident, like this joint/bone injury was. 2.) he offered to prescribe me something for pain and I said "yeah I just don't wanna be doped up." ... which, if you're a patient, at least for me, that's my way of saying 'yes please, thank you for helping me. I don't wanna look like I'm drug seeking, but this injury really hurts.' 3.) his bedside manner in general was apathetic, dismissive, almost pedantic. When I expressed a desire to have my joint wrapped or a brace, and further advocated for self care directions like **should I keep it elevated? What about heat therapy? Cold? Should I rest it? Or try to use it like normal? ect.** the doctor just looked at me blankly and said "I'm sorry you chose to come to this clinic." And I'm thinking "yeah, me too, because you're the one who can actually help me and you're not doing anything.". I ended up asking for a review of quality care and accidentally cursed, triggering a GIANT response from the entire clinic. I was physically intimidated by someone much larger than I. I was waiting on the phone to talk to a human being because my dial buttons for automated number menus wasn't working. I was standing by the check out desk. They knew I was waiting for a human being to pick up. At that point, that's when someone who happened to be much larger than I blocked my exit route while a crowd of medical workers closed in from the other side. I felt like I was being hunted. But I'm literally a healthcare worker too so I'm on their side! I do, however, want treatment if I need it. And I needed help. The supervisor, Amanda, was an absolute horror to work with. She automatically took the staffs side She lied and said she talked to every member of the staff after hanging up and calling me back less than 3 mins later. She kept gaslighting me by referring to my medical history as "my 'story' " which made me VERY uncomfortable and made me feel like I needed to prove myself. The interaction kept me up all night and I ended up texting one text to Amanda the supervisor the day after early in the AM, about 6 am, with a picture of medical records showing it's not a story, it's my medical history and it's relevant." I believe I also said something along the lines of "sorry this is early, I hope this didn't wake you up, I have very poor memory " So...in response she called me seconds after I sent the text and... ... She screamed at me early in the morning over the phone She said "well Dr. Miller checks my family out and we've never had a problem!" (Duh. You're his boss, Amanda.) She accused me of calling someone a gorilla after I repeatedly explained to staff and Amanda the supervisor that I have a speech impediment. So when I said " girl " she accused me of calling someone a gorilla and I had to say "no, I said girl, G I R L. Girl." It was the worst experience I have ever had in my life at any kind of medical facility. Other bad experiences don't compare. Even this one: I've had nurses training for IVs practice on me and a half pint of blood come spraying out of my IV because I had such high blood pressure. They squeezed my arm HARD to stop the bleeding, I cursed, the doctor said "curse all you want, we're gonna take care of this. You're okay:" (DePaul ER) Amanda and the staff at this urgent care were somehow worse than bleeding out from an IV bc my blood pressure was so high and the nurse was inexperienced. The visit to TAUC in Lamplighter Square was August 16th, 2020. They never did send me a bill probably bc they didn't want a paper trail and partly I think because they knew they were completely incompetent. It's almost 2 years later. I still struggle with emotional trauma from the way the entire staff, but especially Amanda the supervisor, treated me. It severely impacted my ability to socialize, be happy, work a job and have any sense of passion for life. I was at a tipping point and Amanda and the whole experience honestly broke me. Please consider the TAUC off Telegraph and Forder Road if you want to continue using TAUC specifically. read more

I so love this place. I believe I've been a patient here three times. Once at the Lamplighter location and twice at the Manchester. And I have to say each time I've been treated I left feeling miraculously healed! I somehow developed adult onset asthma and often get bronchitis. Because my asthma was developed as an adult it's hard for me to control it, largely due to the fact that its still confusing to me. So, I do have flare ups and they are BAD. A few weeks ago I arrived barely able to breathe, coughing up junk (pardon the graphics) and just feeling like I was ready to collapse. I was quickly escorted to a room, given something for immediate comfort and taken to X-ray. Because I was pretty bad off the doctor recommended an IV which Josh started in like a split second. This is EPIC for me because never (even in the ER) has a nurse, doctor and even anesthesiologist been able to start a line on the first try! I could have kissed him!! My stay was long because they really were concerned with making sure I was well before I left. The staff, doctor included stayed well beyond closing time to tend to me and no one ever made me feel bad or rushed because of it. At check out, I picked up meds from their onsite pharmacy which probably cost me an extra $10 but the convenience factor is worth it. Especially when you just want to go straight home. Highly recommend and will continue coming here! read more

Yesterday I brought my 93 year old mom here with lower abdominal and low back pain. When I returned after dropping her off to park the car, I found a very pleasant woman working patiently to help her complete the intake form. My mom has very limited vision and now language challenges due to a stroke but everyone was very kind and patient with her limitations. Miranda Pogue, the nurse practitioner on duty, was wonderful. She was patient, thorough, ordered only the needed test and provided the best treatment I believe possible for her acute issues. The chronic issues she has will certainly require the care from her primary doctor but this was a great alternative to a long emergency room experience. read more

I was recently misdiagnosed on a weekend. I was told that I had a viral pharyngitis and that I didn't need antibiotics. I had a sudden onset sore throat, fever, absence of upper respiratory symptoms, lymph node enlargement, and visibly purulent (pus) tonsils. My rapid strep came back negative and I was assured that it was viral. I INSISTED on an antibiotic and was eventually given one but told not to take it for 3 days. I also stated that I wanted a throat culture and was told that they don't normally do that. Good thing that I insisted on both because the throat culture came back positive for strep! I told the physician, Dr. Demetry, that I recently had confirmed strep the month prior and that I needed something stronger than Amoxicillin since I had an antibiotic (also Amoxicillin) within the past 3 months. He still only called in the Amoxicillin. Again, after my insistence. I am glad that I started the antibiotic right away and not 3 days later per his advice. I followed up with my primary care physician the following Monday to receive the appropriate antibiotic, Augmentin. Highly disappointed and will never visit a Total Access Urgent Care again. I also work in healthcare but felt it was unnecessary to disclose at my time of the visit. read more

I have been to this location twice now for two separate illnesses. Both times I needed extra services like lab work and a ct scan or an X-ray. They did all of it in house and also filled my prescriptions for me so I didn't have to make another stop. The staff was welcoming, efficient, empathetic and knowledgeable. I will go here every time over the emergency room! The billing department was wonderful to work with as well. I highly recommend total access urgent care! read more

The staff is unbelievably nice and waiting is kept to an absolute minimum (although I understand that it depends on the volume of patients that come in). I took my sister in to the ER across the street for severe abdominal pain and vomiting. They pretty much told me I would wait all day and didn't do anything to help her pain. I left the ER and brought her to Total Access. They saw how much pain she was in and put her in a room right away. We didn't wait too long to be seen even though there were quite a few people in front of us. The staff up front, the nurses and the Dr. were all amazing! They kept checking up on us constantly to make sure she was ok or if she needed anything. They were all so caring and compassionate. read more

Update since my visit: Total Urgent Care sent me an email asking for feedback. The majority of the time filling those out and telling places they did a bad job no one cares and I never hear back. But this time I wanted someone to know how terrible the experience was. So I filled out the survey and sent it to them. The next morning Kevin called and apologized very much and was shocked that this happened. He assured me that if I go back I can call him on his personal cell phone and tell him I'm going in and he'd make sure I would not ever have this experience again. I came into Total Access for an infection. I had a fever, elevated heart rate and felt awful. I got seen almost immediately but after that I spent over 2 hours in the room. I would get seen by one person to get my history, they would then leave and another different person would come take my vitals. Then another one to draw my blood, then another one after that one after the first could not find a vein after trying 3 times. All in all I want to say I encountered 6 different employees and in between each one was quite the wait. To make it worse the room was absolutely freezing and even the employees commented on it. I did receive two blankets but was still very cold. After all was said and done I was very surprised a month later to get 150$ taken out of my checking account without my knowledge. Apparently, at some point they ask you to sign a form agreeing to keep your card saved on file but they never explain to you that they can then charge that card at a later time without sending a proper bill to your house. Be aware of their deceptive billing process which is not properly explained when you go there. read more

Dr. Hinrichs was great too - great manner and explained what was going on well. Glad I got into see them considering I was on my way to pneumonia. Nice and very clean facility. I have to go here last week for a wound I had and they were very friendly and helpful and treated me with care and not just another injured person and how some urgent cares seem to be annoyed by you when you come in. They were very tentative to my needs. The staff was so friendly and polite. I think they were great and if I need to go to them again i would rather go there. Keep up the good work!! read more
