Probably the most efficient urgent care visit I have ever had. Called to make sure they were an authorized VA urgent care facility. Lady that answered (believe her name was Emily) then asked what my symptoms were and helped me get an appt within 2 hrs of my call. I filled out the paperwork that was sent to me via text. Walked in for appt was taken back w/in 5 min of scheduled time. Seen by nurse practitioner and doc came in before I left as well to see if I had questions and understood diagnosis. I was in and out in a hour. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. read more

This place has gone downhill. TAUC was at one time my Go To when I had an emergency or couldn't get into my Primary. I have now had two back to back awful experiences at this location. I didn't even see a Doctor. TAUC, you have become a complete disappointment and have officially lost a loyal customer. Good Riddance. Oh, and there is more. I came in coughing and they sent me home with antibiotics. 4 hours later I had to call 911. I had pneumonia. They had even done x-rays on me. This is not a place. I would recommend to anyone all new staff and experienced and a great disappointment. Don't go there. read more

So far I gotta say the waitlist is a joke. Their marketing material says walk in anytime. If you call they say you've got to have an appointment, we've been in the #2 spot to be seen for over an hour while people walk in off the street. Took in walk in patients before me after telling them their walk in wait time was running 1.5 hours even though I had an appointment. Every 10 minutes someone would come and say the provider will be coming in two minutes. Happened 3 times and no provider came. I had my 8 month old with me and she had taken two naps during the time we were there until I finally walked out asking for a refund so we could go home since we were not being seen. Only then someone came out to see me. We were there 2 hours and would have been longer had I not walked out. read more

Walking into this place automatically makes you feel better! This is Urgent Care the way it was meant to be. After undergoing an excruciating 9 hour ordeal in a local Emergency Room, with poor treatment and apathetic staff, I visited TAUC when my condition had worsened. I was welcomed warmly, and given excellent, personalized attention by the Doctor and staff. Highly recommend!!! read more

This is not an urgent care it is a doctors office that needs an appointment and even with an appointment they will deem it non emergent so you may wait 2 hours with an appointment. They shouldn't do drug screens as per the office you have to see a provider even if it's for a job. read more

Most urgent care places leave a lot to be desired. We use them when things are urgent - hence the name - when we can't get to our regular doctor. My experiences with urgent care facilities has been fair at best. Until now. I went to Total Access on Mexico road on a Monday morning. I was able to make an appt online beforehand. The site claimed this would eliminate having to wait. It was true. I walked in ten minutes before my appt time, and was greeted friendly and professionally. Within one minute of filling out my admittance form, they called me in. My vitals were taken immediately, and I waited no more than 2-3 minutes before the doctor came in. She examined me, and also talked to me about what was going on, my health history, etc. She diagnosed me correctly and ordered a shot and two prescriptions. The shot was given to me within a couple of minutes and then they came in with my prescriptions! Filled on site. No need to call in to a pharmacy and make another trip. I was out in less than 20 minutes, took my meds and was feeling better in just a couple of hours. If that wasn't enough, three days later I received a call from them just checking in to make sure I was feeling better and the mess worked! Total Access was total professional and everyone there was lovely to deal with. I cannot recommend this place high enough - even if you have to drive an extra few miles or so, this place is the best! read more

They close at 8:00 PM and I know at the end of a shift people want to go home. I suppose many people enjoy that luxury. I don't know any personally. I don't enjoy that luxury, I'm paid to do a job and I do it...in excess of 40 hrs. The staff at Total Access, however shuts it down at 8:00pm sharp. So when my 10 year old grandson showed up 5 minutes too late, blood streaming down his arm from multiple lacerations to his hand and needing stitches he was turned away. Even though both he and my daughter pleaded with them, they wouldn't help. My grandson begged, telling them it hurt really bad and pointed out that the sign read "Total Access". They couldn't be bothered. Hippocratic oath...not here. Just a pack of hypocrites in lab coats. read more

Horrible service... checked in online and through reception rather quickly but sat in a room for over an hour ... twice I was told I was next but no dr. Several staff members sat in the bullpen laughing / joking / eating dinner while I waited There was literally zero sense of urgency on their part. I called to find out the cost of an office visit and strep test and was told it was $99 to see the provider and no other pricing information could be given until that was paid. I didn't need an exact quote, but I'm not gonna pay $100 to find out their gonna charge another $2 for a rapid strep test. Ridiculous. Updated after visit when hives broke out on Day 10 of my sore throat. Got me right in. Front desk and nursing staff were great. Dr was an idiot. She comes in and says the non itchy red welts on my neck are an allergic reaction to something (uh nothing new and interesting timing but ok). Then comes back and says the strep test is negative but she thought about it and thinks it's not a contact dermatitis issue, but is chickenpox instead. Wtf?! I haven't had a fever in over a week, I had chicken pox as a child, and the rash I do have is non itchy. Gave me a steroid shot and some paperwork on adult chicken pox. Three days later, the bumps are gone (never did spread beyond my neck) my sore throat still persists and the pain is back in my ears when I swallow. Complete waste of $173 and now I don't even have the funds to see a real doctor who might be able to help after 13 days of illness read more

Twice I been there thinking they were helping. The first time I went I was excited to be there very friendly and very nice on both trip BUT on the first trip gave me medicine that I thought would help me it did nothing just made me feel worse. The following week I go back now I'm having a hard time breathing cough never went away felt like I was 100 percent worse So now I get all this medicine and it making me really sick now I'm missing work so just go to my primary doctor gives me a Amoxicillin I am now feeling better. So I feel like all you guys did was just take my money all I dish out for you to see me then and second trip that medicine was expensive which did nothing but make me worse. Was able to walk in and get checked in quick. very friendly staff. However they false negative tested me for strep and gave me a steroid shot and antibiotics that just made my symptoms worse. Went to my primary doctor and tested positive for strep. My doctor also says that other symptoms were caused by the overuse of these not needed drugs. Now instead of just having strep I have a severe case of strep that has lasted over a month. read more

I came here in early July due to a bad migraine that wasn't responding to my normal meds. From the time I entered the front door until the time I left I only spent 1.5hrs in their care (compared to the 3+ I've experienced at ER's). They took my history, did a quick neurological review to ensure I was suffering from a migraine & not another brain disorder. Then they got me hooked to an IV & gave me the same meds I get at the ER: Reglan, Benadryl & Toradol. They were all nice, fast & efficient! They let me turn the lights off in my room & only turned them on as needed. I hope I don't need urgent care again but if so, I will go here before anywhere else!!! read more

I went here in severe pain which I assumed was a kidney stone, well the CT scan said it wasn't. However the doctor came in questioning me about how many pain pills I've had lately, for different medical problems yet all the pain pills were prescribed by Total Access Urgent Care then they have the nerve to imply I'm a drug user. So basically no I got no help so went home and got a bottle of alcohol to take care of my pain that I still don't know what it is. Basically go here if you want to be treated like a horrible human being because they think everyone is drug addicts. read more

Yesterday was the 2nd time I've been to this office this week and 4th time this year. Everyone is courteous and professional and each time I have been there the provider has been thorough and provided what I felt was appropriate diagnosis and treatment for my condition. Monday of this week she diagnosed me with COVID-19 and ordered the appropriate antiviral prescription for me. They also did an EKG and chest x-ray to rule out cardiac issues or pneumonia. When I went back Wednesday feeling worse they checked for strep (negative) but noticed I was wheezing and instructed me to add an inhaler and a combination of pain relievers. Although there was a wait to get in, thanks to their texting system, I could wait at home until I was at the top of the list to be seen. Much better (and faster) than a hospital ER! In April of this year Dr. Robbins noticed in an x-ray that my lungs had not cleared from pneumonia in February. They did a CT test on site in April and referred me to a pulmonary doctor. It turned out to be a benign issue but I'm glad she was thorough enough for me to find out for sure! Having this team of people dedicated to keeping those of us in the community healthy on a short notice is wonderful! read more

Paid our copay and were under the assumption that that was it for our visit because there was no communication otherwise. Later were billed nearly $400 for something that we never would have gone in for had we known the cost. The care we got was good, but we felt deceived. Make sure you ask about every cost. read more

The staff is amazing! I've been 4 times in a week due to a staph infection and every time I went in, they were quick, efficient, and super friendly! It seemed like everyone I came in contact with really cared and I was not just a number! The Doctors took their time with me and really explained what was going on! Andrew was knowledgable and funny! He even let me punch him in the arm when I was getting my numbing medicine put into my leg. (Anyone who's had to have that knows the pain I'm talking about!) On a side note... Took my husband for 3 stitches in his hand. Service was good but they did stays which didn't seem necessary. When we got the bill, they charged us 2 co-pays, one for the medical care and one for "rehab" instruction. This ended up costing us more than going to the ER so we won't go here again. As uncomfortable as going to the doc is - this visit was outstanding.... And I honestly thought I'd never say that. Dr. Powers has to be the *best* doctor I've ever encountered. He is personable, knowledgeable, and fixed me! Total Access Urgent Care has a gem here - If your ailment can wait call ahead and make sure Dr. Powers is working. He truly is a one-of-a-kind doctor. But that's not to say that the rest of the staff wasn't absolutely stellar. They were kind, prompt, and always had smiles on their faces. Well done, TAUC! You've sold us. :) read more

If anything good can be said about illness, Total Access Urgent Care, in four different instances, has given me a swift diagnosis, solicited my thoughts in the prescribed treatment plan, and restored my good health. Being able to phone ahead, check on the number of patients waiting and availability of staff, is also extremely helpful. I will never again visit or recommend Total Access Urgent Care (St. Charles) to anyone! Earlier this year I went in for a horrible sore throat, they couldn't diagnose me, wanted to run a CT scan - that they ordered for me and started prepping me for prior to my authorization and then the doctor got upset with my husband for asking questions and declining it (via phone, the pain was so bad I needed to go when he was out of town! I always go with him or have him meet me there as a comfort thing.) So they allegedly cannot figure it out, but the Doctor guessed it was a blocked saliva gland in my neck/throat. Her discharge instructions: "EAT SOUR CANDY, like lemon drops". I asked for an antibiotic, she agreed to write that. I ask, "can I take Tylenol or Motrin with that?" To which she says, "I'll give you something for that, do you want Vicodin or Tramadol?" You should have seen the look on my face when this woman was just offering up controlled substances with no inquiry to my pain level. She then said "yeah, tramadol hasn't been working for people, so maybe Tylenol with codine" and that was that. Then TAUC goes and bills my insurance nearly $700 for guessing at things and sends me a bill for $111 and some change. Not once did I get a bill for this (my visit was in February) and this morning I have a pending charge on my debit card. Their bedside manner is atrocious. My first visit when we moved to the area in 2014 was great. Positive for strep and a polite doctor who was willing to explain things and provided a great experience. The last 2-3 visits it seems that they are only wanting to sell services (I've been offered X-rays for congestion, CT scan for a store throat and a few other things) and really have no care at all. In addition, they sell you prescriptions from their pharmacy claiming to save you time/another stop on the way home. Don't fall for it. If you have insurance, it's going to be cheaper at another pharmacy. Your insurance won't cover theirs. **** Update: Upon posting my review online I was contacted by their Medical Director, Molly Spire (spelling?) to discuss. She stated that she would discuss bedside manner with the Doctor. I felt no empathy during this call and at one point it sounded like they were trying to justify the entire situation. In regards to billing, no apology other than stating that their Billing Director would reach out to me to discuss and ask the front desk to advise patients going forward. She stated that the Billing Director would reach out to me, but if he doesn't "here's his cell number." EXCUSE ME?!?! In what way is that customer service? If you set the expectation for someone to call, you should call. The customer, or patient in this case, shouldn't have to chase someone around. In the end, nothing is being done about my $111 bill either for a diagnosis to "eat sour candy" plus the $30 spent on a controlled substance and an antibiotic that I stopped taking after day 2. So long, TAUC. This entire experience has been horrendous. Unless you're mailing me the $111 back, because take a peek at the thousands you've gotten from my insurance company in the last couple months, I won't be stepping foot in another one of your facilities nor would I ever recommend you based off this experience. **** read more

Went to the St Peters location tonight & saw Dr Terkonda. She did X-rays & then listen to my lungs & what I had to say for my symptoms. She agreed I have bronchitis, & wanted me on antibiotics. I told her z-pack normally works for me. She said that's what we'll do & a steroid too. Gave me shot to boost immune system & got meds right there very reasonable. Was taken back right away & in & out within an hour. Would recommend them to any one & the advantage of getting the meds there too. read more

I went there on Wednesday afternoon after I started having severe shoulder pain at work. There was no wait time. I just filled out the forms and got put into a room. The EMTs were great, so was the radiation tech but above all the PA Andrew Wahle was incredibly nice. He was quick and thorough. He did X-rays and gave me medicine to make me more comfortable. I really appreciated his listening skills and how kind he was. He seemed like he really cared and was able to answer my questions. 10/10. read more

I wrote a review about visit on 12/29/17 which I gave 3 stars. I received a call from them addressing my concern about not being told I would be charged for meds until the end of my visit. He apologized, said the staff will be trained again about giving patients the option of getting meds there or sent to a pharmacy. Came in first thing in the morning feeling like death and hadn't slept all night. Felt like I had the flu or pneumonia Only had a wait because they had a true emergency with another patient (totally understandable). The PA, Emily, I believe and paramedic treated me with absolute respect and were very thorough. Nobody likes going to the doctor but they were fabulous. And reasonable for being between insurance, might I add. They worked with me on that as well! Will go back here if I ever have to again! read more
