When my son developed a very high fever and spots on his chest and shoulders, I went on Yelp to find the best-rated Urgent Care near me. This brought me to Total Access Urgent Care in Wentzville, MO. Because of a negative experience at another local urgent care center last Fall, I knew that I would not be returning there, but felt like all other UCs operated this way. I could not have been more wrong. TAUC was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in the door. A gentleman named Rod greeted us and got us started with the registration process. We did not wait long before being admitted, where we were met by other friendly and caring staff who examined my son, diagnosed him, and filled a prescription in no time at all! The facility is much larger inside than I imagined. In fact, it reminded me of a small hospital. Everything was clean and professionally run. This isn't one of those places where they do a quick look and send you off to the ER. TAUC completely changed my impression of UC facilities. This location will always be my family's "go-to" should we need it. Jokingly, I told the staff that my experience was so good that I could not wait to get sick. Of course, nobody wants to be injured or ill, but if that happens to us, we know who to call and whom to refer friends and family to. Thank you so much for everything! read more

I have never gone to the doctor or the ER and had them ask me what test I wanted them to run. I went due to a bad cough, listless, head congestion, etc. Never took an X-Ray, said my longs sounded clear. I asked, if my lungs are clear why am i coughing up stuff, they said that's a good thing. Seeing my doctor today, coughs getting worse. If you have insurance save money go to the ER, odds are your going to be there or at your doctor in a view days. read more

Just for your awareness....There is a $51 fee added for care after 5pm on weekdays, holidays, and weekends in addition to your copay. This fee is not listed on their website, nor do they tell you about it. My insurance also does not cover it, and when I called I was told some insurances cover some of it but whatever they don't cover is patient responsibility. So since they don't mention it anywhere I wanted to make sure everyone is aware prior to going for care! read more

It's so refreshing when you get great care and wonderful bedside manners. The entire team was amazing and compassionate - from Angela who took my call, listened to my health concerns and consulted the medical team to advise me if they could be of help, to Melissa who performed vitals and testing and put me at ease, to Dr. Sparks who did the Heath assessed assessment to her assistant, Braedon who scribed for Dr. Sparks and checked vitals upon departure, I can't say enough about the wonderful care they provided throughout, from intake to check out. Their service was fine; however, their billing, insurance and collection agency (MCA Management) are horrendous. First, I was told they took insurance and they did not need any payment. The first I heard that they did not collect from my insurance was a threatening collection notice from MCA. I paid the bill. I continued to receive threats from MCA even after it was paid. I wrote them giving them the date they cashed my check. Now I received another threat to pay their collection fee. All of this for LESS THAN $20. WOW. I'm a wealthy individual, but it is crazy that I should just have to pay the bill to get them off my back. This is extortion! I will never use TAUC again. read more

One hour and 42 minutes. That's how long I spent at this Urgent Care. I had the beginning stages of Pink Eye, and all I needed was confirmation and a perscription written. The total interaction I had with the staff was maybe 15-20 minutes of the entire time I was there. I ended up paying 75$ and I was not impressed. We took my now 1 year old in a few months ago because we were concerned that he might possibly be contracting whooping cough. They insisted on a chest x-ray even though 3 people confirmed that they couldn't hear any fluid in his lungs they just wanted to be sure. We were there for a little over 2 hours that time. Never again. My husband went in for a broken hand, they took FOREVER to just look at the X-rays then came in and said yeah it's definitely broke and his knuckle was totally displaced. As he is in pain they refused to give him anything.. literally nothing. Then they took another hour to put the splint on that took 2 minutes As he was in more and more pain. It was literally like they just wanted him to suffer and wait. I was almost in tears with the way he was treated And seeing him in pain and no help. ice would've even been great! I broke my ankle and went to total access urgent care in Wentzville. Everyone there was wonderful, the receptionist, the PA and her helpers. They were all professional, very capable and very nice. Never again. I asked 3, THREE, times if they took Medicare and Medicaid. Three times the answer was yes. I was asked to pay a $40 copay. To which i replied, my ins covers my copay. Ok, they said. Then I was told I HAD to fill the Rx's from THEM, and they did not run it thru Medicaid. So i had to pay $30+ instead of $2. Now I have to send the claim to Medicaid myself. Then a couple weeks later they charged my bank account for a $40 co-pay. I did not give them permission to charge my bank account. They stored my debit card # from the Rx transaction and used it. Next time I will use hospital urgent care, where they charge 3xs as much but won't lie and scam me. read more

They aren't worth even one star. The business behind this place is shady. On the day I received treatment, the x-ray machine broke minutes before I went into the x-ray room. No problems, right? Things happen. I get it. The problem begins with the fact that I was told by the staff to go to their Cave Springs location for an x-ray. I was told I would not be charged for anything due to the inconvenience. Perfect - I'll go ahead and drive another 20 miles since there won't be any charges. WRONG! They billed me anyway. I left several messages with their billing department explaining the conversation which was had with the staff in Wentzville. They never returned my call and sent my bill to collection. After additional calls, I finally was able to speak with someone who directed me to Steve in corporate. He told me I must have misunderstood, which is interesting because he wasn't there to hear the conversation. I ended up paying the bill. To top it all off, my ankle was fractured. I was given a boot and sent one my way without any instructions but to follow up with an orthoped in 3 weeks. Thankfully, I am wise enough to know not to wait 3 weeks to see a specialist for a fracture. By the time I did see the orthoped later that week, the damage was so bad an extensive surgery was ordered the following day. They couldn't believe that I was walking on the ankle. Not a single person at the Urgent Care told me not to be weight bearing on the ankle. I was simply told to wear the boot until I saw the specialist. Between the shady business behind their billing operations and poor communications on treatment of an ankle fracture, I will never seek medical treatment in any of their facilities again. read more

I have to say the staff was amazing and I was treated right away! Less then impressed with their billing. My husband had just started a new job and I paid for my prescriptions with my debit card since my HSA card had not arrived. Imagine my surprise when two month later with no notice they took $150 from my account. I haven't received a bill, a phone call, or anything. The receptionist was very friendly very welcoming and persuaded me to proceed there with an understanding that it will cost $200 for both my children to be seen she explained to me that my insurance did not cover the two covid tests my children needed with that I self paid.. four weeks later I get charged extra $200 with the lady telling me that's the remaining balance that I never knew about and all I can get was I'm sorry..if this was addressed from the jump I never would have came there!! you mean to tell me that service was $400 worth I would have left like I intended on doing but I asked multiple times about payment and was never told I would get billed an extra 200. I was referred here because they can do x rays, this total access. I was super impressed when they called a week after my visit to check in to see how I was feeling. It just tickled me to see care and compassion. That is what sold me and it will be the place I go to for everything in the future. This place is seriously second rate to their rock hill and Chippewa location but I was out that way at my boyfriends. I was diagnosed the night before w a severe middle ear infection and pneumonia and the pain meds did not help, so I was looking for relief. The front desk girl was VERY nice, the first paramedic was rude with no personality. Then the PA. She was annoyed and rude from the beginning. Told me my ear didn't look bad when the night before my friend saw the other PAs face when he looked in and he literally cringed at how bad it was, with 9/10 pain. She was aloof and just gave me some pain medicine and couldn't careless. The discharging paramedic was so sweet and personable, I wish I remembered his name he was great! I will stick to my city locations from this point forward and if I have to go when out that way, I'll be going to ofallon instead. read more

Extremely impressed from the time we walked in. We were greeted with good morning while walking in the door. There were about 4 people ahead of us and I figured the wait would be around 15 plus mins. Wrong, only about 5! Wow! After filling out the short patient form we were quickly taken to a room. While on our way to the room, I noticed the huge amount of patient rooms as well as a nursing desk the exact size as a hospital ER, with a full staff, just like the ER. So impressive! One of the techs came in to do the normal questioning within about 4 mins of getting a room. Again! Wow, holy cow! You just can't get this in any of the places I have ever been in the area hospital or urgent care. The room was small but had a cool super hero theme. It was clean, above my expectations, compared to other establishments I have visited. No blood or trash on the floors here. Back to the tech, she did an impressive job at reading my wife's blood pressure she read it as fast as my cardiologist does it. After listening to my wife's lungs she quickly suggested a nebulizer and came back with it within 2 mins, whaaaaaaat? Your kidding me! So prompt! Kelly, the nurse practitioner was in within about 30 mins, just about the time the nebulizer was finished. She did a thorough exam, gave her diagnosis and called in the RX to the local pharmacy. Great job from start to finish. They offer free WiFi here if you want it, just ask for the password at the front desk. read more

This place probably saved my life. On Dec. 19, 2017 I went in because of a headache I had the night before. Within 20 minutes and after a Ct scan I was on my way via ambulance to DePaul hospital. I had had a brain bleed or stroke. Although I have no residual affects I have been repeatedly reminded how lucky I am since I put it off for a day thinking it was a migraine. The Dr at Total Access called and discussed the best place to take me and was great. If I'd have gone to emergency room it would have been hours of wait. This is my go to place. We were traveling for Thanksgiving and needed to have our son examined before we reached our destination. This clinic was 8 miles away and had really good reviews. We were checked in and seated in an exam room almost immediately. The entire staff was courteous and the facility was very clean. We even noticed that they had a CT scan onsite. Overall we had a quick visit and were able to start treatment for my son right away. It was a blessing to find this place and I'm glad we didn't go anywhere else. Although we had a hiccup in our travel plans, we felt totally at ease with everyone we met with. An urgent care clinic is the last place you want to end up, but if you must, go here! P.S. On Friday, September 9th, my 18 year old daughter went to this location because her PCP office was already closed. I could not go with her because I was at work (I'm thinking this is why she was treated so poorly). The reason she went to the urgent care is because her eye was bothering her. We both thought it was possibly pink eye. When she went to the urgent care she said the staff did everything they would normally do at a doctor's office (height, weight, blood pressure, etc.) except actually look at her eye! My daughter had on glasses that night and they didn't even bother to ask her to remove her glasses so they could get a good look at the problem. Instead the doctor hastily told her she had pink eye and handed her a prescription. She was then told she should fill the script at their location because it would be quicker and cheaper. She left with a 30.00 bottle of eye drops that were not needed! Had the doctor done his job and looked at my daughter then she wouldn't have had to go to her normal doctor this past week who informed her she has allergies. The symptoms my daughter was displaying NEVER went away with the prescription the Urgent Care Office gave her. I also went to Walgreens to check the price difference on the drops and Walgreens was half the price of the urgent care. Terrible service. read more

All the staff was super friendly and enthusiastic about their jobs. They immediately greeted me and my wait time was very minimal. I have never experienced such a great group of staff in the medical field! The doctor who reviewed my X-rays with me excitedly showed and explained all the different visible bones in my X-ray. I came in on a Tuesday evening with persistent symptoms of bronchitis- I work overnights and by the time I woke up, the doctors office was closed. The staff were friendly and welcoming! I was placed in a room immediately and within 10 minutes was seen by the doctor. Dr Robbins is wonderful and addressed all of my concerns quickly and with excellent bedside manner. She did a thorough assessment and I was out the door with my prescription medications in hand, no need to drive and wait for scripts to be filled at Walgreens or CVS! I was also impressed by the cleanliness and order of the office. The exam rooms even have their own TVs which is great in the event of longer wait times. I would definitely recommend this urgent care for situations when you NEED to see a doctor but can't make it in to your PCP, but aren't sick/injured badly enough to merit a trip to the ER. I've been here 3 times and each time I am well taken care of and given the care and relief that I need. I never wait more than 5 minutes. Had to receive IV fluids and get a CT scan this last time I went in. Everyone from the guy who started my IV to the CT tech to the PA who saw and treated me were all really great. I called multiple times before going in due to having out of state insurance and not being able to have new insurance for 60-90 days. My anxiety meds were stollen out of my vehicle it will take up to 2 more weeks(10 business days) for them to finish submitting the report. I talked to them multiple times over the phone before coming in and they even had my doctor submit my medical records over. ( he couldn't write me another prescription due to only being licensed in the state) they told me the won't just write me the prescription for free that I had to pay an app fee( out of pocket no insurance since they don't take out of state insurance) to be seen so I was annoyed but fine with that. When I got there I waited in the room for over an hour and she finally came back in and told me she will only give me a prescription for a couple pills (anxiety medication) and I would have to go to a psychiatrist and pay out of pocket there too and maybe he will give me a longer term dose. After I explained to her I could barely afford the appointment fee here and that a psychiatrist would be ten times that amount and they are all about a3 week wait on an appointment she told me well you only have to pay out of pocket till then. I started bawling and hyperventilating knowing that we just can't afford that. She didn't do anything about my anxiety attack and refused to let my husband back with me I sat in the room hyperventilating for about 10 minutes before anyone even came in and all the nurse could say was I don't have to pay out of pocket for long. I told her I would have never came here if they would have been honest with me over the phone. Still freaking out and having a hard time breathing she made me sit in the room so I didn't make a scene. This is ridiculous I've never in my life been to a more money driven careless office and I will never return read more
