The rating is for the appearance and cleanliness of the hospital. The hospital is located off of Bowles Ave/highway 44 in Fenton. The parking is spacious and the most importantly it's FREE and convenient. The staff will assist you with providing direction. Check in is simple and easy. There were no long waits. This issue is how can a hospital be so visibly dirty. I am mean out right disgusting. It's as if they have no in-house cleaning staff..........HONESTLY!!!! I didn't want to sit anywhere and as I'm walking down the hall I'm thinking to myself a hospital should appear to be clean by all standards and no wonder people get sicker when being admitted to the hospital. I go back to a room and immediately get asked by the same man "What are you here for again? A UTI?" No, actually. I stated for a 3rd time, it is just an ingrown toenail that hurts so bad that I cannot fix it myself. He says they won't remove it but they'll look at it. Uh ok. Doctor comes in and spends 3 minutes with me!! She pokes at it, says it's not an ingrown toenail, it's something else. I get this repeatedly; don't tell me it's not one. She offered a doctor's note for me to take days off of work to "soak my foot". My boss would laugh in my face. Biggest waste of $25 ever. Low and behold, it says ingrown toenail on my discharge summary. I rarely ever go to urgent care, but the pain was so bad that I really just needed it out. Now here I am, it's bright red and swollen, and still causing pain. Thanks for nothing.

Skaggs never performed a physical heart exam--no stethoscope, no lung sounds, nothing. They only took my blood pressure and temperature, and no one communicated the actual numbers to me. It felt dismissive and negligent. Worse, the interaction with NP Skaggs felt aggressive and confrontational from the start. She stood over me, asked rapid-fire questions, and made me feel like I was a problem rather than a patient. I was calm and cooperative, but I left the appointment feeling humiliated, dismissed, and afraid to seek help again. To make things worse, they turned my mother away, even though she was there for a fall-related injury. Only after I told them she might go home without treatment did they offer suggestions--apparently realizing the liability that would pose. This facility does not feel like a safe place if you are vulnerable, neurodivergent, or simply in need of compassionate care.
