This practice has gone down hill since it switched from Thabet to Rad Orthodontics. I have had 3 kids go to this practice and it used to be a place I would highly recommend to others. Not any more There have been lots of little things over the past few years I didn't like, but a few weeks ago had a bad experience that didn't need to be one. My daughter had an appointment to get some new trays and we were running late. I called the office- no one picked up (which is typical), but I left a message letting them know when we would be there. We arrived within their 15 min late policy, but the back office said they would not see her because they wanted to go to lunch. I know we were running late and that is on us, but when you still show up within their grace period, they should see you. It was a 5 minute appointment to get new trays. Now we are re-scheduled for a couple of weeks later. Poor customer service!! In addition most of the staff always seem miserable to be there (except for the gentleman at the front desk who greets you with a smile) Do better Rad Orthodontics!! read more

I have 2 family members enrolled with Thabet ortho. They had a staff member come down with Covid and they closed the office this week and they aren't returning any phone calls, emails or texts to their schedulers. It is very disappointing. I have trays that I'm supposed to pick up that are just sitting in their offices and this level of service is not worth the $$$ thousands of dollars they have received from me. They are not the Thabet they used to exist. New ownership and staff that are really dropping the ball. read more

They offer a ten minute grace period, today I arrived within the grace period of ten minutes due to icy roads and traffic. We LOVED Thabet Orthopedics when Dr. Thabet was here! It was such a fun and inviting office. Now it's sterile and not as inviting especially for kids. Since he left it is so hard to get an appointment in the time frame they suggested. My daughter had a wire come out and was poking her in the gum. It took them 3 days to get her in for an emergency visit. We were 11 minutes late for our appointment and the receptionist said I am not sure if the dr will see you, I'll have to check. Meanwhile we sat and waited for another 5 minutes. Then they refused to do the entire appointment services and said we'd have to come back in 4 weeks! I know we were late but... how many times have I waited in the waiting room for our scheduled appointment. I would not recommend this office any longer! read more

This place and everyone who works here is just fabulous! First off, the office I BEAUTIFUL! State-of-the-art facilities and service; it is so clean and everyone at the front desk is so friendly and helpful. Sandra walked me through the entire Invisalign process and payment plan, and it was SO reasonable. (So much less expensive than I had anticipated!) I've just started but am already progressing beautifully; thanks to the technology that they offer, I don't need to come in for appointments very often at all; everything is done through an app on your phone which scans your teeth. The office is so responsive to any questions I have (in person, via email, or on the phone). I have just begun my time here (only about a month), but I could not be happier with the quality of service. I knew I shouldn't have agreed to have my son be a patient here when they were "selling" their services. They have very inconvenient appointment times and are not accommodating at all. Today, due to icy roads, we arrived 10 minutes late which is their grace period and they turned us away saying we missed our appointment. While the front office staff wandered off to talk to someone, I'm assuming the office manager, I get a text that I missed my appointment. 3 people came over to talk to me saying they are being accommodating while at the same time saying they can't take my son for his appointment, smirking and making snarky comments. While trying to schedule another appointment, they had nothing available so that my son doesn't have to miss school and I don't have to miss work until a month out! One of the 3 people that came to talk to me even offered a full refund!!! Is that how you treat patients that are in the middle of their program? Had braces a while ago when I was a teen and didn't wear my retainer on a regular basis. My bad! My teeth start to shift a little and one tooth is poking out of line. I stumbled upon a Groupon deal for invisalign at a decent price and a free consult at Thabet Orthodontics. I've been wanting to fix my not so perfect teeth for a while but had a fear. I remember dreading to go to the Orthodontist when I was a teen. The people would hate life and take it out on your mouth. Ouch! This was the complete opposite experience. I felt like I was in a wonderland of Orthodontics. I made an appointment after work and the location of Thabet Orthodonitcs was very easy to find. Right next to the Shady Grove ER in Germantown. Parking is free and it does tend to get crowded from time to time. As I entered the office... WHOA! Spic and span clean... with toys! Toys for kids and grown ups. The kids had games and I played with the coffee maker. ;-) The front desk staff immediately greets with perfect smiles and how can we hep you service. After all the thorough paperwork I was then greeted by the Certified Orthodontic Assistant, Kait. She was fabulous! Made me laugh and took detailed pictures of my teeth, face, and inside of my mouth. I was then directed to Sandy (Sandra) the Practice and Treatment Coordinator. Sandy was very sweet, detailed, and well organized when explaining my different treatment and financial options. She explained the new technology of braces and different kinds. I had no idea that braces have really evolved into such options of shorter treatment times, less visits, and faster results. Dr. Thabet himself even greeted me, gave a timely exam, and also gave a consult of my treatment plan. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Thabet and his group. The facilities are great and the staff are super friendly. But the first visit the woman made me feel awful about myself - telling me I need jaw surgeries and plastic surgery in order to look better. I just wanted to straighten my teeth, not change my entire face. I went forward with Invisalign and it was fine. They're easy to schedule with and very prompt. However, they were very misleading about the length of treatment. 6 months and done really meant 6 months and we'll reassess. Oh now it's another 2 months. Actually add 3 more to that if you want to be perfect. I ended it early because I couldn't take the lying anymore. If they had been honest up front about treatment length I would have been much happier. read more

The photography session though extremely uncomfortable and personal, it's purpose is very effective. Dr Thabet came in later, he showed me the images of my teeth and explained to me what need to be done. Then Sandra took back over and explained the process for both conventional braces and Invisalign. Very thorough and informative appointment. Now I just have to choose which one.. We were a little bit late but the office gave us no trouble and they saw my son right away. We were scheduled for an hour long appointment but the staff was efficient and we got out early. My son is 14 yo and is on the Autism Spectrum. I usually go in the back with him while he is with the doctor, so I can listen to what they are telling him. However, today I let him go by himself for the first time (trying to encourage him to be more responsible and independent). Everyone was nice, friendly, and very helpful! Why does Dr. Thabet have a 5 star rating? Because he is the best. I have met people in the lobby who drive from Columbia to see Dr. Thabet!! He has done wonders with my daughter's severe over bite and really straightened her teeth. She had to get braces on the front 4 teeth when she was 8 due to possible trauma to the teeth if she fell. She also had to wear headgear for a year poor baby! But, her teeth look amazing now. Dr. Tabet really reinforced the value of wearing headgear and retainer when it was time. She still wears her retainer daily and knows the importance. She cleans and cares for it very well. The technicians are great and you receive coins for visiting that can be used to purchase cool kids stuff. The lobby is warm, welcoming and inviting. I highly recommend.
