Unfortunately, this place did not work for my elderly mother. First of all, the Staff at this location were outstanding. According to my mother they were all very nice to her. However, she went there to get new set of dentures. What we thought was going to be just a 2-3-month process turned out to be at least 7 months. From the beginning they kept having her come back and redo the mold of her mouth. Once the dentures came in they didn't fit. She would go back to have them fix but once at home they would hurt her. They did not fit well. After several visits of going back and forth we just finally decided to try another dental office. This made my mother very depressed. I feel that the lab they use wasn't doing a good job or the staff were not doing a good job making the mold. They couldn't figure the problem. Very disappointing results. read more

I've been trying to look for a good dentist for a while now. I'm so glad that I stumbled across this dentist office. (Next door to Sharetea). The staff are friendly and pleasant. I had my wisdom teeth extracted and Dr.To did a really great job. I was able to eat within 2 days after my surgery. Even stopped talking Motrin after 3 days. I've only been in to see Dr. To twice so far but both times were great experiences! During my first appointment, I had a cleaning and we went through a treatment plan that was set up in a way that made a lot more sense than what a lot of other dentists had proposed to me. The second time, I got my wisdom teeth taken out, which was a breeze. I was in and out of the office in about 45 minutes and had very little pain afterwards. I only needed to take ibuprofen, and by the end of day 2, I was completely off any kind of pain medication. I highly recommend this practice! read more

Dr. To was friendly along with the staff. When I got there it was a small wait but I made appointment same day so I was happy I got in. The place was clean. Smelled good everyone attitude was just nice and comforting. I received a cleaning and a filling. Since my last one fell out along with a piece of my tooth. Cleaning was great and the filling was surprising. Other times I've had one done felt as if i got a filling done. My tooth grew. Lol but in this case he did a great job. Got it right the first time. I've been going to Dr. To for over 15 years. I've always had great care and the hygienist are very careful since I have very sensitive teeth & gums. Recently I had 2 crowns. They had some difficulty removing the temporary crown, but Badria was very helpful and she prayed with me since I had gotten overly nervous. I needed a total mouth restoration and I visited many dental offices and it seemed to me that they were more interested in taking money that I did not have rather than fixing my teeth. It wasn't until I visited Dr. Chris To at Total Dental in Sugar Land, Texas when I finally found a dentist actually concerned about my dental situation. I first called up this office and asked if the dentist would be willing to give me a free consultation and I was told that would not be a problem. When Dr. To met with me, he was very thorough in examining my mouth and explaining to me the complexity of the situation and gave advice that would prepare me for, as he stated, wherever I go to have the mouth restoration done. He never tried to push me into having it done at his dental office. I even asked him, "Don't you do this procedure?" and he said he does but he did not want to assume that I was going to have it done at his office. I finally found a dentist who actually seemed to care. Although this is an expensive procedure, he did not charge near as much (thousands less) than the other dental offices quoted me. He even gave me ample time to pay out the entire cost. He and his staff are also very friendly and caring. Dr. To of Total Dental in Sugar Land, Texas is now my regular dentist. Other patients I have met using this office also seem to be very satisfied . If you need a dentist, you might want to give Total Dental a try. My mom came here and had a bad experience with the dental hygienist named Olga. Before getting her xrays done, my mom let Olga know about her history with thyroid issues. She expressed her concerns about getting xrayed around that area. Olga proceeds to show her the vest but my mom specifically asked for a neck shield to protect her thyroid. Olga grunts, storms off, and rudely comes back saying here it is. I would expect a healthcare professional to be kind and have the best interest of the patient in mind. Olga seemed annoyed and inconvenienced by my mothers request. My mom is a nurse so she was shocked by this treatment as she herself would never treat a patient this way. Unfortunately, she has to go back to Olga since she is the only dental hygienist and it's too late to cancel without being charged. Also, a dental cleaning usually includes an exam by the doctor. Apparently Dr. To has been too busy to stop by for an examination which is very concerning. This practice is not standard and seems like they're taking shortcuts. I hope they aren't incorrectly billing the insurance for an exam that never happened which is insurance fraud. read more

IF DR CHRIS K DOESN'T LIKE YOU FOR YOU TO ASK QUESTIONS OR ASK THEM TO EXPLAIN ABOUT BEING OVER CHARGE-YOU ARE DISMISS :) On October 16th 2018 I had my first appointment, they charged me more for my co-pay visit, they took my xrays, and said I have one root canal, and 2 crowns need to be taken care, I said fine, they have a print out about total charges and scheduled me for 2 weeks, when I got home I just visited my Delta care USA benefits and charges, it surprised me again after paying extra co-pay, instead of charging $240.00 for my root canal CO-pay they were asking me to pay $290.00 and for the crown they were charging me $475.00 instead of $350.00 so before going back to them I called my insurance company and asked them to verify the charges, and they were surprised too, why I was asked to pay more?.... Anyway I went there on my scheduled day for the procedure, and I asked them again what would be my total, and I was surprised they were sticking with same total with extra amount in the name different of co-pays as dentist visits and some other charges, I asked how come you could charge me more money then what I am supposed to pay as per insurance company guideline, first they corrected the the root canal charges, and changed it from $290.00 to $240.00, and I asked them about root canal they said nothing they can do on that, long story short, after arguments I said fine, just charge me the total start the procedure, but from no where DR Chris K appeared and refused to serve me, he said I ask you to go somewhere else, I said you guys took my xrays, so you are telling me I have to go through with radiation again just because you didn't like me for me to ask your staffs about being over charged? I didn't raise my voice or disrespect to any one, all I was trying to get an explanation why I am being over charged? May be lot of people have good experience over there but to me this place looks good, staffs looks good but they deliberately charge more money and you have no right to argue with them , if you do then dr Chris won't appreciate for you to exercise your right to ask..... end of the story. read more

I've spent 15 years getting dental cleanings twice a year since I got my permanent bottom retainer, and I've NEVER had an issue until today. I haven't had a great time with this office ever, but I had this appointment booked and cancelling it would cost me money. I let the fact that the hygienist was a little rough slide until I felt down with my tongue and felt that the wire to my retainer had been broken. She tried arguing with me saying she didn't do anything to it. But it wasn't broken before I sat down in that chair! I made her stop and I got up to look and sure enough, the wire was out of the bracket and sticking out cutting my tongue. The dentist had to grind it down so that it wasn't as sharp. So now I have to go to an orthodontist to make sure this won't make my teeth shift. I didn't get an apology or anything acknowledging they screwed up royally! I will never be back and be warned that these people don't give two flips about their clients read more

If you want horrible customer service, come here. I happily rescheduled my appointment for them after they called and asked me to. Receptionist incorrectly scheduled my new appointment. I show up after they call me to tell me I am late (and that it would be okay if I showed up late) and am immediately yelled at in front of everyone there about how I am late. And then I was told I was irrational and that they no longer had any time for my appointment. My mother, who has been visiting this dentist office for a while and recommended me here, tried to talk with them over the phone but was only met with more condemnation as they told her that WE were the ones at fault. I did not have the best pediatric dentist, which in turn has caused me to have many reservations when a trip to the dentist is needed (anxiety at its highest). I could go on and on about Dr. To, his staff and how they are all truly by far the best! Referring businesses has always been something I shy away from because of the fear that someone I have referred may not get the same great service I received. This is definitely not the case when it comes to Total Dental. I have referred several people to Dr. To and each one of them could not thank me enough for the referral.
