This place is ALWAYS overbooked and understaffed. Expect to wait 1-2 hours in the lobby for your scheduled appointment. One would think if you are understaffed maybe you shouldn't overbook. read more

I just had cataract surgery on both eyes. I was previously diagnosed with narrow-angle glaucoma, and Dr. Andy Lee took care of both of these issues. Both times I felt that I received the best care. Being a photographer, I depend on my eyes to see sharply and clearly. So having a surgeon I could trust with the best outcomes from these procedures was important to me. My mother was referred here by her PCP with good intentions but not everything always pans out like it was intended. She got cataract and implant surgery done for both eyes. The issues began with the surgery coordinator who does not take time to listen to the patient and simply brushes their concerns off with a sarcastic tone to her voice. Next during her pre-op she had a student nurse or new nurse who was told to start the IV and was left unsupervised while doing so. My mother felt and heard how she missed to do this step at least twice and injured her arm to the point of severe bruising as well as bleeding out when no pressure was placed on these IV attempts. Now fast forward to the 3rd month after each eye was finished and concerns arose from my mom about not seeing fully well with the new implants in place. This is where the long unnecessary journey of going to so many different specialists, appointments, and excuses began for her. She got sent to two specialist who determined her eyes were in the green light of not being defective but the real issue being the implant. As well as trying new 'treatments' for the vision issue she was having with no concrete determination that it was the right choice for her to do. Dr.Lee however kept dragging the matter out pass the one year mark and sending my mom to go see other doctors as well as the unnecessary long clinic visits to waste time and money because in the end of each visit no definitive solution was brought forward to her. Now, he has simply stated that he is not the go to person to fix the matter and my mother is just out of luck and must go to another doctor to fix the underlying vision issue along with dishing out more money to cover the problem. I would seriously just rethink the idea of referring anyone to this clinic. read more

Went in for my annual eye exam, and the staff in front were very helpful and organized. The waiting area was clean and inviting. I did not have to wait long though before one of the techs took me back to work me up for the doctor. She was quick and efficient and answered all my questions. I saw Dr. Patel and he is amazing best optometrist I have ever seen. If you are in need of a great eye team this is the place to go! read more

My experience as a new patient was great. The clinicians and doctors do an extensive medical eye exam on the first visit. Liane, Nyla, technician Erik, and Dr Patel were detailed, thorough, and quick. I left knowing my glass and contact RX are accurate and my eyes health are great. I have to reschedule for the contact fitting, but I'm okay with coming back due to the visit was a detail review. The atmosphere is spacious and clean. My visit was on a Monday, and it was very busy, but three doctors were seeing patients. If your on a tight schedule, tell them when you schedule your expectations. Seems like a lot of doctors are catching up after the pandemic to squeeze patients in. I would recommend making certain if you need a referral ensure it is processed before 1st visit The eye materials center (glasses and contacts) is like it's on store inside the doctors office. There can be better coordination and collaboration between the doctor first visit and the eye center handoff. read more

The office is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The decorations are modern and neatly arranged. You are greeted when you enter the door. The staff is nice and friendly. The examination is done very precise. My doctor Dr. Wildridge was nice and attentive with high energy and treated me as if I was an important person who needed to be taken care of. Called to schedule an appointment, the appointment coordinator was nice, until she heard Medicaid. She turned into an absolute unprofessional b-word. I asked how much was the exam out of pocket, she very rudely interrupted me saying an eye exam runs up to $200. I wouldn't bother trying this place even with insurance. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Lee for about 7 years. He was recommended by my ophthalmologist who retired. I read where people complained of the wait times. I have had to wait anywhere from 15-30 minutes, just as I do for the majority of my doctors. Dr Lee has always shown concern and spends as much time as you need, answering any questions or addressing any concerns you may have. I'll wait for a doctor who does that for his patients because I know when it is my turn, he'll spend time with me. Getting an appointment is easy. I have even had an eye infection and was able to see a doctor the same day. Dr. Lee did my cataract surgery and for the last 5 years I've had 20/20 vision with the multifocal lenes that also corrected for my slight astigmatism. Prior to the surgery I shared an article I had read about experimental treatment in the UK with dry eye drops prior to cataract surgery whether the patient had dry eye or not. I told Dr. Lee I would like to try this to avoid any routine dry eye that often accompanies eye surgery, and he agreed. I did not have any side effects from the drops, and I had no dry eye after the surgery. The staff is professional yet friendly. They use the latest technology when examining your eyes, with the machines in different small offices - just as many top retina specialists and other more modern ophthalmologist do. This is the biggest waste of time. Absolutely no reason to have a 2:15 appointment , arrive 20 minutes early only to finally get called back at 4:15. People make appointments for a reason and sitting for 2 hours of time you can never gain back isn't one of them. I have 3 words for you. "Go somewhere else"! read more

My mother had her appointment at 9 am. Arrived early so insurance and everything could be verified. It wasn't until 11 that she was finally called back into a room. That kind of wait is ridiculous. She is diabetic and luckily had breakfast beforehand other wise she would have became sick waiting there until lunch time. read more

This place needs huge improvements in the business office. I have been a patient of Total Eye Care for 20 + years and continue to get annual exams. The medical care is excellent. However the practice management has deteriorated the past few years. Generally you get see the medical staff 60-90 minutes after your appointment time. Very disrespectful of its customers" time. Today was the worst. Was called two days before my appointment and Insurance coverage was confirmed in detail. Upon arrival at my appointment, a copy of my insurance card was made. Then I was informed that they don't take my particular plan of Aetna. Two hours of my life I won't get back and no accommodation from the business office. In the last few months, I was billed and paid for a new pair of my specialty contacts. $300. Now they can't find that payment was received, so I had to send them the cancelled check. read more

I've been going to this center for several years and had liked it, except for the long waits in the waiting room. I found out the time increases if you set up your appointment the two days following the day the doctors do eye surgery. I found Monday's seem to have the least wait time. But out of my last several appointments I had with them over the years two were rescheduled because the doctor was going to out of town, a couple of times they switched doctor on me (no big deal), and another doctor left the premises. The proverbial straw happened last Friday; after receiving a call to verify for my Monday appointment on Thursday, Friday they called and said they were rescheduling my appointment three months later because my eyesight wasn't considered important enough. Even though the doctor hadn't changed my prescription for the last 3 or 4 years. Well, if they don't want my business I know about office with a different doctor that barely has a wait time and does just as good as a job. (And they are a LOT closer.) My dad waited 3 hrs to be seen without any explanation. Not sure if this is the norm but no one should have to wait that long .

Brother, when you have to argue with front end staff to get your own information you know it's time to move on. the doctor's are ok I guess, been there a couple of times. Long wait times, and apparently one of the times I went didn't count as an exam, but they billed me like one. I learned today that they are too big to be personable. I talked with some lady in records and she is explaining what my doctor wants when I ask her to send something else, but she knew better. While I am asking for the report she is explaining that I need to make an appointment for an eye exam and she could do that for me, totally ignoring what I am requesting. I Won't be going back, they obviously either can't hear or don't care what you're saying! read more

The wait is always awful. Then they offer no reason. You wait at least 30 minutes to even see a tech. Then you may get prelims done in a room directly off the waiting room smaller than a little closet that offers no privacy. read more
