Whatever was easiest for the installers should be their motto. The easiest place to put their modem in was on the far side of the garage. Unfortunately it is impossible for the rest of the house to get service. Their solution was to add a mesh system but they are not going to put their modem where it will work. All they want is to demonstrate that service arrived at the modem and to heck with the rest of the job. This is expensive and if I would have known what a rip off this is I would have just gone traditional hook up for far less money and got a system that actually works. Management could add a service where they actually hook up the home and make it work and I understand they would charge for that but apparently that is beyond their ability. I've used this company as an internet provider for about a year and a half. Overall, the service was good. The Internet worked most of the time. Had an occasional off day. I live in a very rural area where it is hard to get a good signal. So, I have been very pleased. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is that I do believe the monthly fee is somewhat high. read more

High speed internet and phone service is now available on my street. I used to have about 1-3 MB/sec upload and download speeds. About a month ago when it was available on an adjacent street a representative came to my door. Tired of the very slow speeds and yearly 10% price increases, I called. They emailed paper work and scheduled me for installation. The cable was laid a couple of weeks prior to installation, buried 5 days prior to installation, and the installation was today. All of the employees were very courteous and helpful. They are knowledgeable. They ask if I have any other questions. The router is installed in my computer room. They could have picked an easier room for installation but thought that it would work best here. The speed of the internet service is amazing, more than 700 MB/sec! Downloading a friend's Google photo album of hundreds of photos took less than a minute. Previously that was impossible because the internet would shut off before the download was complete. I can upload a video to Facebook much more quickly. I also have the phone package. The phone has a charging base. The phone has rechargeable AAA batteries, much cheaper to replace than my previous cordless phone battery. I used my cell phone to call the new phone and got an email notice verifying the call! I am glad to switch away from my previous provider and their annual price increases. read more

Being the only good option for me I have had this company for 15 years plus and in my experience has horrible customer service and their employees are sometimes rude. I am a business owner who is always polite and do not understand why a company becomes rude when you repeatedly report service issues. Their contractors who work for them are unbelievable. They just dug up part of my lawn again to move a pedestal 3 times because they did not follow regulations and kept putting it in the wrong location in relation to the power company causing me to spend another 30 days watering the new grass twice a day and show no concern. In my opinion if you want customer service and expect the services to work properly that you are paying for that you choose another provider. I prefer to stay local for services and they started out good but service has been bad for quite a while now. It appears Total Highspeed has expanded so possibly that explains the increased loss of/bad service. Anyway. I'm on the verge of giving up on them. I had a horrible experience of more than an hour on the phone two days ago trying to do what the technician told me to do instead of the usual additional $85 to just have a serviceman come out. I just got a notice of a higher payment (new monthly charge?) via my credit card and an additional $7.85 network recovery cost fee (the more than hour long phone call?) for a network that is still down. I was told they would call in 1 - 3 days and send a repairman out (another $85?). At this point I'm close to giving up on Total Highspeed. I got an alternative installed for the kids' use and will probably join them. read more

The cost is high & customer service was not that great. It seemed like the higher our bill got, the worse our service. I cancelled on Sept 3, which was last day of service, but they are saying I still owe for another month, since billing began on Sept 10.... Plus they did not give me that info when I cancelled, they just said they would let me know when someone was coming out to get receiver. I cancelled over a month ago & still have receiver on my roof. A plus service. Internet in rural areas is hard and a challenge and total high speed realizes this. My aunt and also my real estate agent did research on the best company and both independently came up with total high speed. My Internet was put in fast and worked well-- all except our walkout basement downstairs. Since we work from home it is imperative we have stellar internet which is hard in a small town. Tony came out this morning and was honest, kind and most patient man. He recalibrated and reconfigured and called techs to get everything up and running. I cannot remember a better customer service experience. When things go well, it is easy to have great customer service, when there are challenges that is when you can separate and see the difference. Tony has the best temperament and can- do attitude, please pass along my sincerest application and thankfulness to a job well done. There were many times Tony could have walked away but he made sure all the signals throughout the entire house were up to the level that my husband was requesting. Horrifyingly arrogant organization. 1. Signed up about three years ago for a specific plan that was giving me 20-25 mbps for $99/mo autopay. Great signal with a simple yagi antenna. No problems. 2. Moved a few hundred yards to a new home just over a year ago. They charged me $75 dollars to move the antenna (DISH always does it for free). The new antenna is a mini dish, that constantly cuts the signal, involving calls to the tekkies who ALWAYS claim it's my fault. As an EE, with a PE and years of teaching antennas and RF systems....I know better. I kept telling them this little dish is loose and blowing around in the wind....when their signal DOES come back, I have to reboot my router. They finally sent a tek out ..... the installation was faulty, causing the antenna to flop around in the wind. 3. During cold weather, got FREQUENT cutouts. This time they told me it was because it was so cold the " RADIO " wouldn't work.........THE RADIO ??? As if electrons and RF signals are affected by temperature.........and sold state electronics efficiency and reliability are IMPROVED by cold. 4. During the time I was talking to the tekkies, trying to get them to check the antenna, the person on the other end of the line (who said she was OFFSHORE -- strange for an outfit trumpeting that it is a "home town" business) said I was getting slow speeds because that was what my plan was. NOPE.......that is what the are offering NOW........not the plan I signed up for. I want MY speeds, at MY cost for the plan I signed up for. 5. Then there is the suddenly appearing "network cost recovery fee" that they charge. It is nothing more than a simple cost of doing business. It is NOT something I should pay. Washington state just made an ISP return over 6.1 million dollars for this SCAM to its customers. MO is next. In sum......they attempt to change agreements, can NEVER maintian service or speed, blame the customer for anything and everything that THEY screw up.....and are horrifically condescending to all. We are a captive audience, as cable guys aren't anywhere near the largest east-west artery in SW Missouri.....yet. For now, we will probably go beck to our cell phone hotspot, which has much better speed and NO data caps. STAY AWAY from this "home town" outfit. read more

The only service available to us through Total Highspeed is a cellular service on a lease through AT&T. We thought this would be okay because our cell phones have great connectivity and downloads approaching 50 mbs through AT&T. The service allows simple internet browsing and regular use at acceptable speeds but; unfortunately, any attempt to stream television, conduct video meetings, or complete large downloads is met with throttling that makes the service unusable. It is also noted that the service frequently goes down during the day. It is impossible to know when this might happen. You can't rely upon the service for video meetings, no matter the service being utilized for such meetings. Even streaming a movie though any leading provider will be met with buffering. The customer service representatives are pleasant. You can't ask for more; however, they are on a fool's errand because the service that Total Highspeed is providing is subpar at best. It should be noted that they will tell you that you are limited to using their equipment - modem and router. This is simply not true. Our service was improved but still not acceptable when switching their SIM card from their supplied equipment to enterprise grade equipment. If you have no alternative I suppose they are better than nothing. Please consider your options. read more

I've been working from home since March 2020. Some issues with slowness so we updated to a higher package and were satisfied enough that we went streaming for all our services. (we've had service with THS for at least 6-8 years). Unfortunately since April 2021 our service is beyond poor with little support/response from the company aside from saying the problem is on our end - our modem, my remote work set up, some electronic that must be creating the problem, etc (even though nothing on our end has changed). My conclusion based on multiple conversations with their support staff is that they have oversold their service without the infrastructure to support all their customers. There have been a couple of people who have tried to be helpful but have been unsuccessful. Ultimately we are paying an awful lot of money for a service we have not received for several months now. read more

RUN!! They have WAY over extended and you WILL be limited a LOT of the time!! Plus, they WILL raise your rate WITHOUT ANY NOTICE!! We live in a rural area, and thus, they KNOW we have VERY little choice in high speed internet providers!! NOT RIGHT to take advantage of us like they do!! While they DO have fiber, and it's SUPPOSED to be 25/25 up & download speeds, it's not ALWAYS there!! When I call to complain, BAM!! It's back up where it should be!! Funny how that works!! Try to avoid at all cost. Our internet has been having issues for 5 months, with no fix and or communication in regards to their fix. I spoke with one of the owners on the phone and he talked a great game, convinced me to sign up, said this is a "small town business" and he cant screw me over because he might see me at church on Sunday (a bunch of BS). After signing up and paying an INSANE amount for installation, I am being CHARGED $5 a month for not signing up for auto pay. I did not realize this because I pay my bill via email, not through the portal... they did not send me an email or anything in the mail stating they were adding this additional charge. Usually companies offer an incentive to sign up for auto pay such as $5 OFF your bill, Total High Speech CHARGES you an additional $5 on your bill every month for not having auto pay. I do paperless billing which saves THEM money. When I called I talked to someone who had no answers for me and just said she was sorry. I feel taken advantage of. He made me believe this was a company who cared about customer service... I believed him. read more

This company will rob you of your money. They have slow service. I was out for two months and they would only credit me for a month and I paid my bill for those whole two months I did not skip a payment. But they refused to credit me. If you're looking for an auction for Internet and cable is not in your area go to T-Mobile and see if that is available in your area it is basically unlimited there is no overage it is fast and it is a Wi-Fi hotspot you can stream and game on their Internet that is what I switched to get away from this overpriced crooked company they won't update their packages are prices to conform to what is the now demand for Internet stay away from them read more

Total Highspeed has caused nothing but headaches for me and everyone in my household. Price is WAY too high while connection speeds are some of the worst available on the market. The only good thing about Total Highspeed is they have some decent people in their customer service department I live out on the country side, not a bunch of options where I live and a lot of connected people in the house, when this had been brought to customer service we thought we were getting a decent deal because we were told we'd be getting the highest tier plan at lower tier pricing, plus they installed a cell tower on our property. So that's 1.5 Mbps being split between seven people, tower or no, those numbers are pretty grim, and we can't do anything about it. We live at such a location that big name providers won't set down updated cables to do anything, but they do have cables set so because I live in the US decent start ups can't legally provide any reasonable connections, leaving us with WISPs as our only available option, and Total Highspeed is the only one who seemed even remotely reputable. If you have the opportunity, go for a different ISP, avoid Total Highspeed like the plague, you'll be getting better speeds and chances are, it'll be cheaper too. read more

With limited internet options for where I live and after dealing with Centurylink for 2 years of up and down bills ugh....I am so glad I found Total Highspeed was available for my area. From the installation to any problem I have had they have been always very helpful. I would highly recommend Total Highspeed to anyone. My kids can watch Netflix and still be able to use the computer is a plus for me with just the 1 MB plan which most of the time our speeds are up to 2 MB. Customer service is terrible unless you request a manager, field service is terrible unless you request a manager (I have waited 4 months to get my antenna adjusted). Many people who were grandfathered in were not told that their contracts would no longer be honored or that their payment dates and speeds would change. It took Total Highspeed 3 months to tell me why I had a late fee every single month when I was paying according to my contract. I'm sure if I took them to court I would win as they told me I should just "rip up my contract and throw it away." YOU are at THEIR mercy and even if you can prove the problem is on their end, they still wont lift a finger for you. They will actually tell you to do you OWN research on why YOUR internet isn't being provided. This is the only company I have ever dealt with that will blatantly lie to you over and over again. read more

Do not get their service!! They shut down my internet without notice, reason because I was using too much data (their website clearly stated UNLIMITED DATA). The real reasons they shut us down because we made them mad by making too many calls to them and complains about the service, the speed goes up and down, we keeps losing connections, video buffering contantly, they said we would get 50ms or lower but its always in the hundred or higher, you can never get help from tech support they would say everything looks fine on their side, must be something we did wrong on our side, and i have to pay $14 extra for a static IP which kept changing, etc. Seriously I must had called them everyday and nothing get resolved. its always our fault according to them. When I first got Total Highspeed it was great.The best we have had. We live really rural. Now it cuts in and out all of the time. I have contacted them more than once. It got really bad after a new tower was built near me. they said it is not their tower, but it has signs with their name all over it.I think my antenna needs an adjustment but they haven't done anything. I am paying $100.00 a month for part time internet, that is no better that the 2 different satellite companies that I have had previously. When I get in touch with them all I get is a threat that they will take it away because they don't want unhappy customers. I think this is because I am 65 years old and my daughter is attending college online. I feel like I have not been helped by them just bullied. read more
