From the…read moreconsultation to a post-installation call, Oren and his crew were the definition of professionalism. HIRE THESE GUYS. Oren is articulate, collaborative, and transparent. Booking a consultation was easy and he took the time to explain everything from materials to costs to timelines. The new garage doors are a near-perfect match to the existing paint job (hunter green, see accompanying pictures). We ended up needing to replace the garage roof and the frame, which Door Tech also took care of (they're not just limited to doors!). Fast forward to the day of the roof replacement / door installation and we discover a rotting post with termites. Oren is on-site, immediately communicates the issue, and provides a clear solution. Bonus: Oren and his crew did all of the above in ONE day, which is incredible especially if you've ever done any home renovation work of any kind. Bonus #2: you forgot something after the installation and call Oren in a panic? The guy turns around a quarter to 8 pm on his way home and comes right back to address it. Thank you, Oren and team. I don't like leaving bad reviews especially for small businesses because I don't want it to affect…read moretheir family or livelihood but in this case, JJ just stopped replying back to me and does not want to fix his mistakes. First issue was one of the panels was dented & the glass panels were different from the ones he initially showed me. When I brought it to his attention, he told me it'll take 7 months to get a replacement. I told him I can wait , it's not a problem. Second issue was that he left all the plastic wrapping on the doors, and now the adhesive got stuck and it's impossible to remove now. When the "new" replacement panel came in, I noticed that it was a different color panel and someone painted it white. So it doesn't match with the rest of the garage door panels. The other issue with the panel is that JJ installed it upside down. Third issue, I tried contacting him multiple times to ask him to fix these problems and he decided to stop replying back to me. So I would warn everybody, before you pay him, fully inspect the job first because you will not hear back from him once he's paid and gone.

I called on Thursday evening, explained the situation again. They told me they would put the call in as urgent and get back to me right away. I said tomorrow is fine no worries tomorrow came. Several weeks ago, technician Michael came to replace the spring system. Did a GREAT job, including…read morerepositioning side and central hinges for optimal functioning. Cost for everything was over $650 (!). However, a few days ago, the door started rattling and grinding. Technician Radhemes came and found that simply spraying WD-40 on the center door hinges fixed the problem. Quiet door opening/closing now. Again, GREAT job - and such nice gentlemen, these two. The technicians deserve 5 stars. HOWEVER: 1) DGD's phone system ("mailbox full, goodbye") is AGGRAVATING. Sometimes you'll get called back within an hour, or, as when I called Friday AM, no one called back until Monday. 2) Each time you get service, the technician "suggests" you consider having an upgraded door system installed. No matter how nicely put, I RECOGNIZE A HARD-SELL A MILE AWAY. TO SUM UP: Once you're called back, EXCELLENT technicians can come THAT DAY. However, it seems DGD's material costs are excessive. Combined with the aforementioned concerns, I am not sure I would have DGD as my future garage-door service provider(unless of course, these concerns are addressed).
