I thought it'd be a straightforward session without the need for exercises or extra manual therapy. But surprise, surprise! I ended up with a bill of $643 for just 55 minutes of care. That's on par with what you'd pay attorneys and specialized doctors! I get that all services there have their billing codes, but the final cost was way too high for such a short one-time visit. Plus, there was only one other patient there, and two technicians--definitely not a busy day. Foothills philosophy doesn't include one on one care. I didn't know that when I went. It would've made a huge difference if they shifted to a more personalized approach, especially with low patient-to-tech ratio. Instead, I found myself left to do my exercises solo while the staff chatted and socialized, and tossed around an exercise ball. Talk about a lack of focus on patient care! Overall, I was really let down by what I thought would be a more specialized physical therapy experience. I walked away feeling like I didn't gain any real help for my shoulder, just a bill resulting in tremendous disbelief! Based on my visit, I can't recommend this facility for physical therapy. Unfortunately, from my experience, zero stars would be a better reflection of my recommendation, but one is all I can give. After a lot of negative experiences with medical offices, Spooner was a huge breath of fresh air! Literally every person on the team from the front desk to the therapists themselves are friendly and helpful. I worked with PT Julia and tech Chris, and they were both phenomenal - true experts in what they do. I also met with PT Alix a few times, and she's equally amazing. I went in afraid I was going to spend a lot of time and money only to be told I needed surgery. Instead I walked out three months later with a shoulder that is almost entirely healed, and an easy-to-follow program to do at home. I still can't get over what a pleasant experience this was from start to finish. They have truly set the bar for all other providers I see in the future. A few things that set Spooner apart from other medical offices I've been to: 1. They offer a free consultation. If you're not sure physical therapy can help you, go in for a consultation! You'll get an honest answer. 2. They did not pressure me to schedule excessive or unnecessary appointments. I went in thinking I'd need to go 2-3 times a week and was pleasantly surprised that they recommended once a week, and then eventually every two weeks. 3. The billing is transparent and honest. My insurance wouldn't give them a price ahead of time, so Spooner had me pay an estimate based on what other clients with my insurance paid. When my claims were processed and their estimate was slightly higher than my contracted rate, they immediately applied all of the credit from my overpayments. I didn't even have to ask for it - I just walked into my appointment, greeted by the pleasant news that I didn't need to pay that day because I had credit on my account! 4. There were never any surprise charges or codes added on to my appointment. When Julia suggested we try dry needling (highly recommend btw), she made it clear there was no additional fee, and that was accurate information. 5. I feel very set up for success doing exercises at home. They have a really helpful app with my personalized program in it that includes videos of how to do the exercises, and they also gave me printed versions as well. (If you want physical therapy to be successful, you MUST do the exercises at home!) I could go on and on about how great Julia and the Spooner team are. I really can't recommend this practice highly enough.

Scheduling is insane. It took me over 12 weeks to get in even though I told them I only had access…read moreto my insurance for 15 weeks and I'd initially been referred for six sessions. The scheduling person promised me they always had tons of openings if I got on their wait list, but the openings never came. (Then they told me it was because they kept those for established patients, but those also never opened up for me, so I think it's just extremely hard to schedule--and they can't or won't accomodate people who may need to get in sooner.) The physical therapist is pretty good and gives a lot of feedback. Some of the techs are good, others seem to be on a bit of a power trip or not paying attention and kind of just going through the motions. I think I had a different tech every time I went in. Working with the techs is often about the same as doing the exercises at home (with added bike/treadmill time); they don't really give good pointers or anything. Spooner is very slow about updating exercises in the app. You basically have to remind them. I'm glad the AC works again; it gets pretty hot in there. Also didn't realize there were more convenient locations when I booked, but that was my fault.

Not only is he very knowledgeable and capable, his pleasant demeanor and ability to put one at ease instills confidence that you will progress well. I also found the current staff from receptionist to students to be very eager to be helpful and supportive. My only criticism would be that some of the equipment needs to be replaced from wear. They've done a good job of controlling the tendency to overcrowd and become choatic from my first visits to latest (a period spanning about 3 years).

I have been to a different Spooner location on several occasions, and they have always been great…read more My recent visit to this location, a bit closer to my home, was no different. I had injured my left foot while exercising on my treadmill at home, and Spooner got me in right away once I realized that I would need a physical therapist. I was assigned to Emily, who is as fantastic, professional, and helpful as every other Spooner therapist has been with me. She knew what she was doing, and I progressed so well that I was discharged earlier than expected. My wife has also had fantastic therapists at this location, so I highly recommend coming here if you have need of their services. A tip: The dedicated entrance to the Spooner facility is on the south side of the office building, so you'll want to park in the parking lot between the building and the freeway. Spooner has a few marked spaces in front of the sidewalk that leads to their entrance. It may not look at first like an entrance you can use, but it is. While I believe you can also access their suite through the hallway leading from the main entrance for the building, that's usually a long unnecessary walk--and depending on your injury, you might appreciate less walking. :)

I was loosing sleep to wrist and elbow pain. I couldn't trust my wrist tendons to pick up a book or cup of water without a sharp pain shooting up my forearm. I was fighting numbness and nerve pain every day. CBD creams and ibuprofen would help, but only for a few hours at a time So . . . I'm 4 weeks into a 6 month treatment plan prescribed by Dr Justin. I'm already thrilled! I go in 2x per week. If I'm in pain or discomfort when I arrive, that is addressed immediately. It might be a hands on treatment or TEMS unit and ice or any number of tools they have to address pain. I can tell my comfort matters to the entire team. Then I'm learning stretches that help loosen up tendons. My favorite thing is the combo of the spinal decompression and a neck adjustment. Not only is my wrist/arm pain a little less intense, but my upper back, shoulders and neck are also loosing up! I'm waking up refreshed instead of stiff! Today I was informed that this is no longer a thing and now it's $100 for a month that includes 4 adjustments and if you don't use them you lose them. Now it's $60 per adjustment without the monthly plan. The same 4 adjustments will now cost $240 unless you use them all within a month. The management over the last few months has clearly gone down hill, people are far less friendly, and now the prices are out of control. Do not go to this chiropractor. Save yourself the headache and go to a real chiropractor that's not trying to be big business. This is the definition of a place turned corporate.

Together they assisted me on the road to recovery. Averill is very personable and a great guide for recovery. Averill, along with Christian, Jessie, Scott, and a several other physical therapists guided me every step of the way with care. They allowed me to push myself hard but without allowing me to endanger my well-being. The Center is state of the art, super clean and there is plenty of parking. The center is conveniently located inside the Victorium.

I want to give this center a better review but I can't. I went to a PT here 2 years ago for IT band…read moreissues. She was good and gave me exercises that I could do with her and at home. It worked. Now in October 2018, I was sent here for a hamstring issue. The PT said it was a piriformis problem and we did therapy for over a month with no improvement. After an MRI in November showing a hamstring TEAR, I went back to the PT thinking that exercises needed to help a torn hamstring had to be different than that for piriformis. I went back and oh yes, now he tells me to NOT do any of the exercises he had me doing for piriformis. These are all contraindicated. And BTW, my hamstring pain increased over this period of time. Having no faith now in this PT, I sought a second opinion from another PT that I had gone to for previous injuries. He re-assessed the hamstring and gave me a set of totally different exercises. Still no relief, so after seeing my Dr. again, we have decided on cortisone injections coming up. When I told him the first PT had originally said it was a piriformis issue, he said, "I love it when PT's play Dr." Bottom line, I started PT in October and I truly believe the exercises he gave me initially made the problem worse. I trusted him to help, not exacerbate the problem. It is now February and I am looking at cortisone injections in March. Very disappointing.

I told them I was no longer coming in to avoid charges, plus I didn't need it anymore but they made me think I did. The woman who told me she was "so happy for me!!!" That I'd healed and no longer needed their services, said it was all taken care of, then the next week I get a creepy call from one of the physical therapists asking where I was. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND CREEPY!!!!!!!!!

My 12 year old son is a soccer player and has been struggling lately with pain in his heels and…read moretightness in his legs, impacting his ability to run normally. The staff at OSR we're all incredibly friendly. They talked to him about his pain and how he's been impacted. They made him feel so comfortable and heard. Chris, the director, was so awesome with him. He explained everything in a way that my son could understand and not be terrified by. Our pediatrician had told us the issues with his feet were "no big deal" "super common for active kids his age" and "he'd grow out it". Chris was honest with my son about what was happening with not just his feet, but his whole lower body. He told him the work it would take in the PT office and at home to really start feeling better. During our first visit we did a lot of stretching, heat therapy and some cupping to loosen up the Achilles' tendon, calves and hamstrings. He felt pretty sore afterwards but Chris has set that expectation with him. He was actually pretty optimistic leaving the office, which has been a rarity the last few months since he's been in such pain and trying to play through it. We can't wait to go back next week and getting our little guy back to his speedy confident self again.
