WARNING- Do NOT take your cars to this establishment. Their markups on products are way too high. You are better off buying tires online or at Costco and having another mechanic put them on. Further, be aware shops are legally required to provide written estimates for repairs over $100, however the employees here will not give you one unless you ask. I brought by car in and had issues caused by the work of the employees after the vehicle had been serviced, however they argued that they didn't cause the new problems and refused to acknowledge or fix their mistake. (This was after they had to fix their first poor alignment job, which they did fix at no extra cost). Not a good experience. I will be taking my car to a reputable shop to be looked at to evaluate the damage caused by this mechanic shop. Steer clear. They will treat you well as long as you pay the insane prices and don't point out their mistakes. I will be looking elsewhere for my vehicle maintenance needs, and you should too. read more

I was driving on the Turnpike when I got a flat tire near Stuart After the highway ranger changed my tire he suggested I get another tire at the Stuart exit a few miles up. I was fortunate to find this Total Tire who took care of me right away. They gave me a comparable tire and didn't try to upsell for a second tire since my other tire was still good. I went to Total Tire in Palm City, Fl with a flat. they wouldn't look at it and told me I needed a new tire. They didn't ask if I had a spare and a new tire was going to cost $246 just for the tire then mount and balance for another $30. and they told me I'd have to wait all day cause I was stuck. then when I remembered I had a spare, they put it on. when I went to pay for that I was told the spare had to come off since they already mounted the new tire which could be undone easily as it was done. the guy I spoke to was Chris and he was rude too. This place is the biggest joke of my life, my girlfriend brought her car in for an oil change, they came back said she's going to need $1200 worth of work for car to be safe. I was at work and busy so I couldn't communicate with her so they told her bottom line for the bare minimum to make sure she can get to and from work and swapped out a brand new battery that I bought for her 6 months ago. A week later the alternator went. They charged her $110 for the electric diagnostic test, $65 for oil change and $235 for a battery replacement, which replaced a brand new battery. I went there with her car asked for them to pull up the electric circuit test to show the battery volts and they couldn't find it. I confronted them about the battery and asked if they could give me a deal for the alternator to be replaced and they told me $800. They charged me for two different scans just to see what the problem was when AutoZone, Cartenders, and several others car mechanic shops do the scans for free. Then TotalTire says there's a million things wrong with my car which will cost me $1000 so I take my car to Cartenders where they charge me half the price and tell me 50% of what TotalTire has told me was incorrect and a scam. Replaced 1 coil with some cheap aftermarket brand. Water was leaking from water pump and that sorry excuse for a mechanic replaced the thermostat instead. Then realized it was the water pump while backing out of the car bay. I hated going to this place because I knew in my gut something wasn't right. update from yesterday ...I told them the tire maintenance light came on. the light is still on bc the tires didnt need air they needed to be rotated. I believe he knew this and just didn't want to do the rotation which came free with my purchase so he told me it needed air. omg how unprofessional. I'm not sure if this is a good review or bad review.... But here's my experience with this company. around d 5 months ago I went in for ...yep ..tires and rims. The receptionist couldn't be more friendly or professional. I picked out tires and rims...about 5k and although a day later than originally stated I had no issue with the install. Finished up on time and my infinty looks great. So I let them put new tires on my 1981 Corvette. Good tire at an average price. all is still good at this point. Today my SUV tire check light came on so I stopped by his shop. I parked in front of an empty bay where the vehicle needed to be for them to check. A mechanic comes out and tells me I cant park there...I tell him why I'm there and he says i understand but you got to move. I parked the car in a parking space and go into the office. Receptionist as nice as could be said sure we'll check that out...she said just pull up to the empty bay and park. (funny at this point) so I do as I'm told..again..and park my vehicle in the same spot where the mechanic just told me to move. He glares at me like I'm an ahole so i said "funny how life works out sometimes". 1 minute later Dan the owner comes out and asks if this was my truck. Dan knows me and my vehicles so immediately I get a bad feeling. I said yep. he said I heard your dicking my guy over. I told him what happened and his guy lied bc I wasnt dicking him over...he said that they work hard around his shop and I needed to lighten up. I instantly defend myself by telling him I work hard to and I didnt appreciate him barking at me bc his mechanic was mad at the situation. Dan kept going on and I got mad and told him he just lost a customer and i wont be bringing my cars back. His comment back was "didnt I read you just got arrested"? seriously...dan....find out the situation before you bark at customers. I mean I did just spend around 7 grand with you. Thank you, Tony and Buddy! A couple of days ago, I got an oil change at a big chain company in South Florida - not Total Tire - because I was about to take a family road trip. Right after I got the oil change, but before leaving town, the check engine light went on, so I took the car back to the store. They checked it out, assured me everything was ok, and turned the light off. Yesterday evening we started our road trip and shortly after it got dark, the oil light pressure indicator started blinking intermittently. We pulled off the highway and found the dip stick was totally dry. We bought several quarts of oil at a 7-11 and drove to the closest hotel. In the morning, I went to Total Tire, where Buddy and Tony saved me. At first they thought we might have a cracked oil filter housing, which would have been a small disaster for my family vacation, but they quickly figured out that the guy who changed my oil at the other place put the wrong O ring in the oil filter housing, which caused us to lose all our oil. I know nothing about cars, which was obvious to Buddy and Tony, so I was completely at their mercy. They knew I was from out of town, that I was eager to get back on the road for my family trip, and that I was unlikely to be a repeat customer since I didn't live nearby. But they still took incredible care of me and I was back on the road in no time, for less than $50. I will forever be grateful. Thanks, guys!!! P.S. While I was there, a couple of other customers came in and Buddy greeted them by name and they greeted Buddy by name, which shows me that great customer service is the norm there. read more

As a woman I am totally and thoroughly embarrassed that an owner of a business would berate and disrespect a loyal female customer in an email after all that I did was ask a question and expect a truthful answer. His email reply - "Ms.Frazer I have reviewed your situation with my staff at Total Tire. It appears that you were in to Total Tire on May 6, 2017 and your car had 16,862 miles on it. You returned on May 5, 2018, a year later with 37,859 miles on the car. That is 21,000 between visits. You may have taken your car somewhere else in between those visits. It is very possible that in that amount of time your tires wore unevenly due to an alignment issue or the lack of rotations. It is recommended that rotations be done every 5000 miles. However we can not rotate them once they are worn to the point of needing replacement. Witch is what appended when your returned on May 5th of this year. I can assure you that we do not purposely try to make customers tires wear out so we can sell them new ones and your statement to that is offensive to me and my staff. No one took the time to check that we had two accounts under my husband, and myself. This where the confusion lies. After my last oil change and NO tire rotation, I was told by the young lady behind the counter #1 that they only do tire rotations on tires purchased there, (this is a brand new vehicle) and #2 NO ONE told me upon check-out that I should start looking into getting 4 tires. Does that mean that on my paid receipts all the tire rotations were false and not completed??? I was never informed that the passenger front tire was worn due to needing a wheel alignment, which would have prevented me from needing two new tires prematurely. He informed me I needed to replace all four. Which my neighbor, an auto mechanic, replied I had at least 15,000 miles. Again I am so confused. Don't these large companies make enough money that they need to cheat a female? After talking to the "manager" Buddy, I insisted on going higher up because I wasn't satisfied with his answer. I wrote an email to the owner, Dan Weeter. Within a couple of days he responded with a very nasty and cruel reply, that I would not send to my worst enemy.
