I called JNN and they guaranteed they could get it out. Then Danny and Seamus showed up, and within 45 minutes of their arrival, had my car on their truck (most of that time delicately maneuvering my car into the right position). The most amazing part is they backed out of the driveway with my car first and the tow truck next in a skillful ballet I doubt I'll ever see again. These gentlemen knew exactly what they were doing without hesitation. They were courteous, patient, and friendly the entire time, never losing their cool or patience. If I am ever in a situation like this again they will always be my first phone call.

Samantha was very helpful as well as all the guys in the back. They helped tow our vehicle and then explained every step of the process. We also didn't have to worry about dealing with the insurance because Samantha dealt with all of that for us. On five different occasions I rearranged my schedule to pick up a "repaired" car which turned out to be them mistaking someone else's car for being my own. At one point they gave my car away to an alarm shop to install an alarm that I had not authorized. I was treated poorly by Samantha for informing her of the confusion about giving my car away without my consent. When my car was finally ready I was supposed to bring a check that no one felt the need to tell me about and so left me with no other choice than paying out of pocket for $190 more than my deductible. This last item made me lose my patience. I pulled out my credit card, verified that I needed to pay the whole thing to be done and told them fine, let's get this over with as I just wanted to get out of there and go home to write a review of this fiasco. At that point Sean, the manager came in. He asked what was going on, I gave him a quick rundown of all the things that had happened including the final insult of having to pay an unexpected $190 more despite all my due diligence and that at this point I just wanted to inspect my car, pay, and leave. Sean's response was to get pissed, raise his voice and go off. I was trapped there with Sean yelling at me about how I must be perfect and don't understand mistakes while he also made insinuations about my privilege and the ease with which I must have lived - insulting and false presumptions. Sean's actions of anger and aggression was unwarranted especially considering how patient and understanding I had been throughout the process. The worst part though was that I was all too aware how unsafe of a situation I was in. Sean didn't hear, didn't care, or simply ignored the FOUR times I said that all I wanted to do was pay and leave. Instead, he just kept yelling at me, in front of his staff in the small waiting room. It was terrifying to realize I was trapped. I had a rental car I could no longer keep and my car they had the keys for and he knew where I lived. At a loss, I opened my purse, took out my notebook and pen and asked for his name, which he gave me and then I wrote it down. This seemed to kick him out of his lunacy because he finally agreed to let me pay and leave. I asked to see the work they did on my car but that woman in the office interrupted and said I couldn't inspect it until I've paid. She wanted me to accept and pay for their work, sight unseen. Sean told her no, that he'll show me the car. I inspected the work, found one small part wanting (one of the black runners had a tear in it) he tried to argue that the Geico adjuster, Mike, hadn't put that so they didn't replace that then corrected himself saying he would talk to Mike that Mike probably just made a mistake and all people make mistakes. (A small jab.) Sean then started talking at that point of how he knew about ALL the messed up things that had happened and said they were reviewing their processes to fix these things from happening again. I just smiled and expressed understanding because at that point all I wanted to do was pay, get my car, and leave safely. The next day they called me to come back in as Geico had approved the repair addendum, and they could fix the runner gasket thing. While I sat in the waiting area Sean came by and told me they wanted to return the $190 they had charged my card and to keep the check from Geico for the trouble. I highly recommend you find another shop. This experience was obviously created dur to multiple systemic problems with 5Star that all came to a head in my singular experience and imo no amount of the addressing training and "shop processes" that Sean said they were doing because of my experience, should justify risking a single person being put into a similar situation ever again. Yes, they did great work and gave me $190 back, but it isn't enough to offset the horrible way they chose to treat me and the anxiety they caused.

He arrived quickly knew just what to do to get the truck down the driveway and to avoid damaging any of the trees that hang over the driveway. Do not hire this company…read more This company prioritizes what is convenient for them over any burden they place on the public around them. I had a horrible interaction with a driver dropping off a car for a neighbor on December 4, 2022. The driver rationalized that because it was most convenient for HIM to position his truck across the street, and block traffic in both directions, everyone else who needed to get through to their own homes and to complete their own responsibilities could (i) either wait in the road or (ii) backup and go around the block. To be clear, there was no emergency. There was no imminent threat to life or other property. The driver could have pulled in front of the house and dropped the car on the street. The driver could have pulled his truck back far enough into the neighbor's driveway to allow traffic to pass around him. With no consideration for the burden placed on others, he chose what was easiest / most convenient for him. What was worse, when I finally got his attention, he came out into the street to my side of the car with tool in hand, raised voice, telling me the choices were wait 15 minutes or go around. He would not even discuss repositioning his truck so that I or the other cars waiting could get through. He walked off telling me to call the police if I didn't want to go around. His conduct (and his client's) scared my twelve-year-old daughter, who was sitting in the front with me. She worried that one of them would become violent and cried when we arrived home. After comforting my daughter, I called the company to report the interaction. I introduced myself and why I called and the receptionist hung up on me. I called a second time - no apology for cutting me off. In fact, there was never any concern expressed. The receptionist offered the same alternatives: go around the block or wait. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or owner, I was told that none were available on weekends; that I would have to call back tomorrow. I asked for the name of the driver and the receptionist said he was not authorized to give that information. All the receptionist could do was contact dispatch to confirm it was a company driver. This company failed to properly train its drivers on how to drop a car off and staff on how to deal with public complaints. Further, management/owners insulate themselves with protocols that apparently give employees free rein on nights and weekends. The company ethic is apparently "Do whatever you want and tell people to call the police if they don't like it." The receptionist didn't even ask for my contact information. I had to volunteer it. I will be shocked if management calls me back.

We called 5 or 6 different places before calling Tristens Towing and everyone had a 2-4 hour wait. Tristens Towing answered after 2 rings and told my husband it would be 45 minutes and the price was a lot less than what all the others were charging on top of it all. And they hooked up and were on the way to my house within 5 minutes of them getting to us! Definitely will use them again if I ever need a tow, crossing my fingers I won't need a tow truck for a while if not ever but they will be my first and only call for sure!! I got into an accident and my car was totaled they had it at another lot. The tow truck driver had to exchange their information with the lot where the car was, and it took a minute for them to even understand that they couldn't enter the lot without those things. When we finally got to the lot where the car was the driver then stopped and called someone to make sure they could tow the car away. I sent the payment and was still waiting for them to proceed. We waited 25 min for them to even start loading it onto the tow truck. Everything was fine they helped us put the car in the garage. So overall pretty okay for the price just the timing was horrible so if you are in a time crunch don't think to use them.
