Absolutely love this gym!. Staff is very friendly. They have some good trainers on hand and a lot of friends now among other members. For me one of the highlights is seeing somebody that you know is struggling to get in shape and they continue to show up. I always try to seek those people out and make friends with them and encourage them because I was that person at one time I was over 36% plus body fat. I was gassing out just walking upstairs. I was very obese... I put in the work I put in the effort I put in the time the macros, the diet, etc. I lost the weight and a large portion of this transformation was done physically 100% at this gym. Of course diet and attitude had to go in it

I hate this bs. I want to add to my review they did nothing to help me but re quote the stupid membership agreement after emailing them so again still bs hate this gym they only want money dont get a membership. I highly suggest anyone who signs up that is not happy to report fraud to their bank. Don't bother responding to their email in your review response they don't do anything to help you they just want money

I was at home recovering for a week, trying to make it back work wise for the second week and finally in the 3rd week I started to think about mundane things such as my gym membership. I called up management and asked for a credit for the previous month, to put a freeze on my membership moving forward until i could recover and was told they were looking into it. I received a voicemail letting me know that the month that I was initially injured was impossible to credit, and that the charge for the next month, due in 3 days was "too late to stop or credit". I called today to discuss and had the General Manager Andy Alvarez tell me that he would have his supervisor call me back. I asked for his supervisor's name and was told his first name only initially as when I asked Andy for his name, then finally and reluctantly was told Joe Henderson. I explained that I would likely be cancelling my membership after over 4 years and was told that was fine. No care at all for my experience, my injury nor my 4 year membership. I am genuinely surprised and did not expect for this situation to end up with my cancelling my membership, but I can't in good faith give my money to someone that treats their customers with such blatant lack of care. Besides the gym being extremely limited on many basic machines and other equipment, it is also run by people that will hesitate to give you their full name during a complaint by a customer. That is ridiculous and unacceptable in almost any industry. This experience will be shared by me to anyone that inquires about my recovery, in addition to friends and family on a Facebook post to come. I can't believe the complete lack of care for my situation, but in reading other complaints on here it seems to have happened before. Update-my situation was resolved by Joe Henderson to my satisfaction. I have updated my review but still feel that leaving this post for future reference by other members may be helpful.

She made a big fuss and was talking really aggressive about it to me trying to make me look like an idiot for no reason. All because I canceled my membership with them. Would not recommend to anyone unless you wanna pay almost 60 dollars a month for a small but decent gym. Overall the management before was a lot better.

The LBJ Student Center at Texas State University is named after Lyndon Baines Johnson, the 36th president of the United States and one of the university's most distinguished alumni. Johnson attended the institution formerly known as Southwest Texas State Teachers College beginning in 1927 and graduated in 1930. Texas State has chosen to remember him through buildings, programs, and memorials on campus. As documented in the building, Lady Bird Johnson emphasized that the center was meant to be a living tribute to her husband - one filled with the energy, activity, and engagement of students, reflecting the spirit Johnson valued in young people. His picture and his background is prominently displayed throughout the LBJ student center.

It's the first thing I need when I go work out. The weights area is good, and people are generally polite about letting other people use equipment between their sets. The bad is that the front desk is beginning to nickle and dime people when they want to borrow towels. Not only that, but you have to pay a fee for their "towel service". Then proceed to pay fifty cents to a dollar for every towel you borrow from then on. There's always a entrance whose out of commission, or the finger print scanner don't work. The natatorium is closed for most of the day for who knows what. One of the showers in the girls locker room doesn't work, and each shower has a ball of hair from all the girls who brush their hair in the shower or shave but aren't considerate enough to pick their hair up after they're done using the shower.

For one thing, Rocky is one of the most supportive, encouraging, and positive people I have ever met. She usually teaches the A.M. classes, and really pushes us on the TRX bands while watching our form. Sharee runs the afternoon TRX along with Rocky or Georgie and has a different routine, which helps switch things up. She is really good with instruction, especially for beginners. I love the TRX classes here and always leave drenched in sweat. What a way to start your day! I've been meaning to take their Boot Camp and Mobility classes, but life gets in the way. I hear they are just as awesome as the TRX classes, though. They also offer Zumba and Yoga during the week. Zumba is offered every day of the week, except for Sundays. Sylvia and Julianna know how to shake it! I tend to run into things and people, but it's still fun. Not only is all the staff friendly and helpful and super awesome, but the members are as well. They have become my support group in my quest for a healthier life, and help push me when I want to give up. I have a lot of fun and am working toward my fitness goals at the same time! I love this place!

I decided to sign up for personal training sessions to help with getting toned after having a baby. The sessions were good but I felt like it really wasn't geared towards post natal clients. I signed up for sessions 6 weeks before our out of state moved (never moved that far before!) I paid for my last 4 sessions up front and ended up missing two because of the move and was out $80. I suppose that was my fault but still wan't too happy about losing the cost of two workout session. If I was told up front there was no refunds I probably would have tried harder to to make those sessions before my big move or I wouldn't have paid for 4 upfront! I wish more would have been explained to me!
