Cute little yoga studio in Buda. They offer a variety of heated and non-heated classes. I love that I was able to come here on ClassPass since I don't live in the area. I took the 6:30pm hot yoga class and then the 8pm candlelight yin. Both were wonderful and I feel amazing leaving. I sweated, stretched, breathed, and relaxed. All the good things. I needed it! My body feels so much better right now. Thanks WGY for having a clean space with friendly staff :) and welcoming me to practice as a guest in the studio. I attended the candlelight yin class at 8pm and it was very soothing. Full of really good stretches and the instructor, Ms. Claudia was very helpful and nice. Beware, if you're attending a class after a hot yoga session as the room is a bit stuffy but after awhile it airs out and is comfortable. Although the studio was full, everyone had enough room to move around and there was enough materials for all to use. read more

i took the candlelit yin thing with greg as my first ever yoga class and it was very relaxing, he was really soothing and helps u feel comfortable! i was a little late and he was very understanding. absolutely loved the experience and the studio is nice, just runs a little warm. i was bummed using the free first class disqualified me for the new member package, i hadn't really considered it would but that's my bad (last minute booking lol)--keep that in mind if you wanted the package :) read more

The studio is small but very well thought out and relaxing. I got good vibes from the other students. The teacher made me super uncomfortable though.. maybe it was just an off day for her but,, she asked a lot of questions about my practice in front of all that were there. I would not recommend the Detox and Sound for beginner's especially! I'm well versed in moving my breath and not making poses a competition; That and the fantastically hot guy next to me helped to make the best of it. read more

It's so unprofessional & disrespectful especially from a wellness studio. When the owner Rae would come into the same class as me she was always doing her own thing, going faster, going deeper, going longer like she had something to prove to all of us and honestly it wasn't a great energy bc it made us all off in our flow in class. Ray has shown her true colors to a lot of community members & so has her husband who is threatening every instructor they fire. I will not be going back to support Ray or the Willow garden studio because of their actions. They're a multi level ponzy scheme and don't do their due diligence to ensure all their studios have the right marketing and advertising to have successful & full classes. Each teacher teaches with their own flair which makes it hard to know what a class will be like going into it for the first time but I also really love how one studio holds such different yoga experiences. I have been going to Willow Garden for many years now, it has grown so much and offers such a variety of classes with all amazing instructors. If you're looking for a harder more challenging class I would recommend Ashtanga, Hot 26, Barre/ Pilates and power flow (hybrid classes). If you're looking for a restorative classes the gentle vinyasa flows, yin, sound bath meditations are amazing as well. Yoga is for everyone, I would highly recommend giving it a try! Willow Gardens opened a second location in April, in Lockhart, TX, which had no yoga/pilates studios. The array of classes is impressive for a single-room studio, with multiple styles and levels of yoga, pilates, fitness, and wellness every day of the week. I was a longtime y/p practitioner before covid put the kibosh on live classes, but now my practice is revved up, better than ever. It's heartening to see so many local residents take part - many of whom had never practiced before. It's become a community of friendly and committed people seeking to improve their health and well-being. All ages, all fitness levels. And the teachers are amazing! So knowledgeable. My friend has been coming to Willow Garden for at least a few months. She invited me to try a class for free to see what I think as I have been recently incorporating yoga into my fitness routine. You can't do muay thai forever.....or maybe you can. I don't know yet. My first class was on a Sunday afternoon and it was a Flow class that was about 75 minutes long. I enjoyed the class and decided to sign up the following week for their newcomer special. It is $20 for unlimited yoga for 10 days. My current plan is to try different classes with different instructors in order to get my feel for the studio. Overall the classes and instructors that I have attended have been great. The instructors are nice and offer alternative poses/positions for people who can't do certain poses. They have blocks, straps, and blankets for props that are used sometimes while in class. I have become a big yoga block fan since I am not flexible due to years of injuries and not stretching. read more

I started going to this studio about 2 years ago, maintaining downward dog for any amount of time was mentally and physically challenging. I'm slowly progressing and feel comfortable here. The teachers are great at working with new and experienced students and always make everyone feel comfortable. They are not only very experienced with multiple types of yoga, but are also awesome teachers. There are multiple types of classes at various times with each teacher so it's easy to pick a class type and time that meets my needs. I started coming to Willow Gardens this past summer and hesitant on getting a membership because I wasn't sure how dedicated I would be. I feel in love with Gil's Saturday ashtanga class and pulled the trigger! I was considering using this studio but after my friend shared her disappointing experience, I've decided against it. She said the instructor was completely unprofessional. Instead of gently correcting students in the practice, she would openly criticize them in front of the entire class. It made my friend, and the rest of the class, uncomfortable. My friend was forced to listen to the rude instructor pick apart another person instead of paying attention and focusing on her own practice, My friend said she is definitely not going back. I expect my yoga practice to be calming and stress-free, so I'll be waiting for Buda to open a more professional yoga studio. read more

I've practiced yoga off and on throughout my life, but it had been years since I last took a class. I jumped back into yoga at Willow Gardens a few months ago when a friend invited me to try out Ashtanga with her. At first, I was a little intimidated by the idea of practicing in a group again, especially in a heated room, but the instructors at this studio have been so encouraging. They remind us that wherever we are in our practice is where we're supposed to be. In addition to their variety of yoga classes, I've also tried out Willow Gardens' Pilates, Barre, and meditative sound baths. It's great that they offer classes at all times of the day, plus a bunch of virtual options when I can't make it in person. Do not recommend as a beginner. The owner yelled at me during class and it was just shocking. Unless you are a pro do NOT go here. I sent an email to her the next day and she was so rude, blaming her actions on me. She hopes I can find a studio where I can do what I want. Yoga is a huge part of my life; I've been practicing consistently for about 10 years. This studio is a nice addition to the Buda Main Street area as it offers a place for us in the area to practice nearby, and not have to travel to Austin or San Marcos. This being said, I didn't renew my membership as instructors frequently subbed for one another, making it hard for me to attend a class with my preferred instructors. Additionally, the teaching styles varied greatly between the instructors; it seemed that there wasn't a cohesive teaching methodology serving as a platform for all of the instructors within the studio. read more

The owner, Ash Willow walked into class and asked people to practice outside. After obtaining lukewarm consent from about half of the class, she decided that class would take place outside. There was a photographer there taking pictures without obtaining consent. One of the other students mentioned how they had taken video before without asking for permission. When I decided a few minutes into class that this was not the experience I signed up for, the owner made a snide remark about how I should have brought my stuff with me when I asked to be let back into the studio to retrieve my belongings. read more

Recently I moved to Buda TX from a much larger city. I was very happy to find such a clean, modern facility with friendly staff in such a small town. The variety of offerings is amazing, and I was previously practicing HOT YOGA, and now I am taking advantage of the Pilates, Hot Pilates, and Meditation Classes. In a few months I already feel like I have been accepted into the Willow Gardens Family. I also like that the classes have a nice mix of men and women, older and younger. This is the very best yoga studio ever!!! The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. I started without any knowledge of yoga at all. I also had 4 unsuccessful knee surgeries and could barely walk. Through hard work, dedication and the excellent instruction of my yoga teachers, I have made a great recovery. There are many different types of yoga offered at Willow Gardens-and that is what makes it so unique. Some classes are hot and hard and some are more relaxed. About six months ago, I decided to give this place a try. I had only done yoga at my local gym, so I was a little intimidated to do yoga at a studio. I had never done yoga before and decided after 2 years after the birth of my last child I needed to do something. I showed up for Saturday class at 10am not even knowing that bikram meant hot yoga but I was welcomed and encouraged from the start. I loved it so much I signed up for the 60 classes in 60 days challenge and after completing that I was hooked! I went from zero to hundred overnight but couldn't have done it without being open to receive instruction. I took advantage of the introductory offer in February of this year and have not looked back since! I had never done yoga before, and quite frankly I thought yoga was some boring meditation thing that would never interest me! My daughter pushed me to try it for almost a year and here I am today, completely hooked! Yoga has changed my life! Not only have I lost a lot of weight, but I also no longer have the need blood pressure medication! I also have a totally different outlook on life as well! I must say as a beginner I was intimidated at the thought of going. Lucky for me, the first hot yoga class I attended was taught by the owner Ash. She made me feel welcome instantly! Ash, as well as all of the other instructors at Willow Gardens, are all very quick to point out alternate things that beginners can do until they become more familiar with the poses, etc. Everyone that practices at the center is pretty much in a different phase of learning, but it really doesn't matter! Everyone is so focused on their own practice, there is no time for anyone to pay any mind to what you are doing on your mat. The instructors do pay close attention however, making sure that they are assisting you with proper form, providing tips, and definitely letting you know what you can do to not only improve, but also to be sure that you don't injure yourself by not being mindful of your form. I would expect nothing less from any of the instructors at Willow Gardens and appreciate the help and encouragement they provide every day! Willow Gardens is a great place that gives you that great community feel. If you are considering making yoga a part of your life, I would highly recommend coming to Willow Gardens!
