Came by with my friend on a Monday evening. We were disappointed to see that this total wine didn't sell spirits, but we were able to find a seltzer that worked for us instead. We did appreciate the signage at the front of the store indicating this as well. The store was pretty clean and well organized. We didn't have any interactions with employees. Typically employees in other total wines I have visited will check in and see if you're finding everything okay or need help/recommendations. I happen to be a fan of Taylor Dry Sherry. I use it extensively for cooking -- and I've been known to sip a glass of it occasionally (usually when I'm cooking with it!). For years I've shopped at Total Wine about once a month in the hopes of picking up a couple of 1.5 -litre bottles, along with my usual wine and beer favorites. They've seldom had more than one or two bottles (often none) of ANY size Taylor Dry Sherry, much less the 1.5-litre size. I spoke to a manager about it once, and he says they don't stock a lot of it, because not many people buy it. (Duh. They don't buy it because it's NEVER IN STOCK!) He then suggested that I order it online and just come to the store to pick it up. So I tried that. I went online to order it, and it said "not in stock". After all this time, I'm finally giving up -- they haven't had it in stock for over six weeks now! Although Mink's Liquor Store on Delk Road is a little more of a drive, I've finally switched over. They had plenty in stock, along with the other beverages my household usually drinks, and I've found that it's even cheaper there! read more

In search of an Island Haze by Wild Leap, I came here on a Saturday to find a bevy of tastings available on site. Although I did not partake, I felt like I could've easily hung around to taste, sample and sip on the finest of wines and more. I did however find an extensive option of some favorite breweries here including Wild Leap and Firemaker. I had a little difficulty locating the Island Haze but meandered over to the far wall of specialty brews where I struck gold. I picked up two six packs of Island Haze which I could not find anywhere else, not even Local Vine. The trip was a success and will be returning next time to explore the store. read more

I usually visit the Kennesaw location. I was in the area last night and went to Cobb Pkwy location around 8:30. Employees were standing around chatting with each other. I was openly ignored by one and had to interrupt another's conversation to ask a question. This had never happened to me at the Kennesaw location. Employee told me what the aisle was. In most wine stores, employees escort you to make sure you find it. Multiple employees on the floor, only one at the register. Male employee at the register seemed misogynistic. I do not prefer gender based service in the way of cute flirting. It's most appropriate to say "Thank you for your patience," and do your job. The time to ramble is not when your line is building. All of those jokers need to go. There are unemployed people who want to work. read more

I LOVE total wine and more. I wish there was a location near where I live. This Akers Mill location is limited to wine and beer (no liquor). However I use the word "limited" loosely as their selection of wine and beer is phenomenal! They have all the regular wine and beers, but also have the hard to find special release beers and aged wines. If you want to spend $10 or $1000 on a bottle of wine then they have options for you. They have some lovely Chateau Margaux wines in the glass case that I could only dream of tasting (thousands of dollars). Don't let that deter you. The vast majority of their inventory is affordable by the average joe. The beer area has a special are for purchasing by the can/bottle if you want to try something. They also have a special release section for all those seasonal and one-off beers. They are well organized with plenty of signage to help you navigate the large store. Their staff is extremely helpful and friendly so don't hesitate to ask questions or to ask help in finding something you are looking for. Their prices are fair, some a little above average price. This is the cost of bringing a wide selection for purchase. I think it is justified so I frequently visit when I am in the area. Other locations sell liquor which is also phenomenal selection. You'll feel like a kid in a toy store when you walk in any of their stores. read more

Great selection! Staff are always nice and helpful. On my last visit Josh, Cumberland store manager, immediately greeted me and offered to help. He recommended a wine that I should try based on what I came to purchase which I purchased. I served it at Thanksgiving dinner. I've been on a kick of trying bourbon barrel reds and definitely adding Agitator to my rotation. Although lighter bodied than the Robert Mondavi Cab and Cooper and Thief (I like full body reds), it has a nice finish. It paired well with the lamb chops I also served. read more

Where to start about how terrible our experience was. We first went into the store 6 months ago to inquire about the process. We were told that we were much too early to place our order and to come back closer to the date. We went in several weeks ago and looked at the list with the beer manager who assured us that our order would be ready. It is now 2 days before our reception, and we called like he instructed. We were told that, not only was one of our kegs "lost," but another that he tried to order was out of business. What in the world? How do you even let us place an order with a brewery that is out of business? Why didn't anyone try to call us any sooner to fix any of this? Instead of trying to help us the beer manager just tried to make excuses about their ordering process. On top of that, when I asked to work with another manager, no one would help us because they werent responsible for beer. I understand mistakes happen, but if your only attempt at helping the situation is to try to create empathy for your poorly performing systems, then I will take my business elsewhere. Did a "private wine tasting"....which, for the money, don't do it. They don't "serve water with private tastings" Huh? That doesn't make sense. The wines were listed in no sort of order, so it was difficult to find the wine that she was discussing. The person relied way too much on the PPT and not sure of her overall wine knowledge/credentials. This might be good if you have limited experience wine tasting. Today was the second day of Total Wine & More grand opening. They had several table set up for wine and beer tasting. Also live music. I came today because I needed much needed help with picking a wine for a Wine Tasting I'm attending tomorrow. After walking around this beautiful store, I asked several of the vendors that attended the opening wether they're wines would pair well with the menu I had. After speaking with several of Total Wine marvelous employees Cecil and Mrs. Stephanie. They were the best if I shall say myself. They helped out to best of they're ability. But i was still undersided about what I want. Cecil pointed me in the direction of Wine manager Mr. Keyth. When I say this man know is wines, he know his wines. I love this location, every time I come I get to taste wine. A nice cherry on the top for us was an extra Heineken 6-pack that we didn't order... though it's alcohol-free there actually will be someone to drink that! This Total Wine has been open for about 3 months so I figured it was time I went to check it out. I was on the hunt for a solid bottle of red for book club and knew their selection would be huge. I've been to other Total Wine locations and have always enjoyed the warm welcome and helpful service. Unfortunately this location misses the mark. No greeting upon entry, no offer for assistance from team members and simply a "Your total is $X" from the staff at check out. Now, if you're looking for something specific - whether it's beer, wine or a mixer, I bet they've got it. They do not, however, sell any liquor. They have a huge wine collection organized by region and varietal. They even have a cigar section *mind blown* They have an impressive selection of beer and place a heavy emphasis on local which makes my heart happy. There are tons of brews available and they have an area called the "Brewery District" where you can attend beer tastings and purchase cool pint glasses. While most of their beer is located on shelves at room temperature, they also have a cold beer cave with cold brews and kegs. They're located in the plaza with Longhorn and Office Max. There is plenty of parking and they offer curbside pickup. Every time I go in I'm greeted and there's always someone available to ask questions. They ONLY sell wine and beer lol. Every time I come in there's someone asking if they sell liquor. They have a good selection of mixers for margaritas etc. and they sell crackers, nuts etc. It's a large store. They have a great selection of wines, gifts, decanters, glasses etc. So if you needed to run in right quick for a bottle for a party they have a good selection of wine bags. They have tastings on Thursdays which I have yet to attend. They have a rewards program where you get so many points with each purchase and receive a $5 reward but you can't use it on wine which is the only thing I don't like here but no biggie when I can use it on a mixer or anything else. stopped in to grab some sangria and found a couple other wines this location is well organized and the staff is super knowledgeable! not only was that the best sangria wine I've ever had and trust me im not a big fan of sangria but it was amazing to say the least. There's a cigar room with all kinds of cigars. They have pretty cool accessories for wine like aerators and sell snacks at the front like proscuitto. Very disappointing they don't carry spirits. I was hoping to skip the long drive to Kennesaw to get their great prices on discount liquor. Hard to understand really...seems kind of insane to not have liquor license, given their huge space and ideal location. Explains why there are hardly any cars parked near the place and why it looks so, so DIM from the outside. I guess it adds to the wine purist vibe.‍‍‍ Maybe they should consider a name change to help folks less informed there are different offerings per store...from Total Wine and More to Total Wine Period...or Total Wine, Beer and Mixers...or No Liquor but Try Our Kennesaw Store. As far as inventory, everything is here that you would find in a standard Total Wine. Store is organized (well, as organized as a Total Wine can be - they always appear as organized chaos to me, you really have to know where you're going in the store) and clean. I will say that as far as customer service, it's very lacking. I was looking for a champagne that I hadn't tried before, and had made two full loops around the store without anyone offering assistance. If you've been to one of these stores before, you know that the employees are almost TOO eager to help. I walked past one employee who was texting, two employees engaged in an animated conversation, and a fourth who made a beeline AWAY from me as I approached. I finally got the attention of a younger guy with glasses and wiry hair, and asked about the product. He immediately said "we don't carry that". I showed him a screenshot I had taken from their own website and he said "oh", checked on his device and said again "oh. we actually do carry that." I get that the inventory is large, but it's a little concerning that not only did he not know what they carried but was so eager to let a possible sale disappear. If you're under 30 stay away! You have to show id if you're under 30 and if you're under 21 you must be with a parent. They ID for no reason. I did not buy anything and had to wait 10 mins for someone to check my id. Terrible customer service. Cashier was sexist and made a comment saying he only ask women for their ids. Even if I was with a parent, I still can not buy alcohol so why is this process even necessary. What if I looked around and walked out the store without interacting with employees. HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE HERE. First: I was semi-in-the-wrong. I admit. I am 30+ years old, and I did not have my license on me, though my husband, who was driving, had his. Second: I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt throughout the whole experience because I was SO EXCITED to be getting a Total Wine so close to our house. With that said, here is what happened: They refused to sell to us because one of us did not have our ID, though we are both in our 30s. So I said fine, I'll go to the car and my husband can make the purchase. They would not go for that and got very rude with us. I understand it's a store policy (and it's a good one), but they were unreasonably ugly (e.g. they accused me of lying about my age, they accused us of trying to 'pull one over on them' and they demanded we come back with the license). She was yelling at us, throwing accusations at us, and getting so heated with us. People were looking; it was totally embarrassing and uncalled for. We never raised our voices (in fact, I was pretty much the only one engaging with her, and I stayed calm but firm). Because the experience was SO negative, I did. I went home, I got my ID, and I drove back up to the store. The woman STILL wouldn't take it (though at this point I was no longer interested in spending my money at the store). I asked to speak with the manager, she stated she was the manager on duty and would leave my information for the store manager and asked what my complaint was. I was frank with her and told her that I was disappointed in her customer service, that I thought she was rude to us, and that I thought she had handled the whole situation inappropriately. She then stated she thought we might be stealing. So I asked her if it was that bad, that she thought we were underaged and trying to steal, why didn't she call the police? She said it was a judgment call on her part. Also, she raised her voice at me again during this interaction. Again, I am not usually one to do this - but this incident was really terrible. I called corporate the next day and lodged a complaint. They apologized but did not offer really any remedy. Then, I called the (real) store manager. I told him I've worked in retail and I understand the difficult clients, but that I felt I had been reasonable and that this employee had not. I expressed how it was extra disappointing because I was so excited for the store to open and we had watched it be built out and waited for the grand opening. He apologized, stated he would go over the ID policy with the employees, and, if I gave him a little time, would try to make it right. I was satisfied (obviously) with that response. BUT that was like 6 months ago or more and he never got back with me (despite me having called sporadically to follow up with him). I am 'keyboard-warrioring' this experience because of how rude this woman, corporate, and the store manager were. I, nor no one I know, would shop there again. There is a Local Vine Liquor store right down the road with better prices, better wine selection, and better customer service. I recommend you try there! read more

I love that Total Wine has such a wide selection to choose from. My concern is with the aggressive sales team at this location (Cobb Pkwy. On several occasions I've gone in with the intent of leisurely walking through the aisles and finding bottles on my own, but would feel as though I'm being watched. Also, after I would state several times that I didn't need help, the folks would still try and assist and ask me questions about what I'm searching for. Lastly, on another occasion when I did ask for help, the salesperson either tried pointing me to all black-owned vintners and their selections of Moscato . I went to this store expecting it to be MORE like the name says. I was looking for Irish Cream liquor. The store looks very nice and it is HUGE. Someone asked what I was looking for and I told them liquors and I was quickly told they don't sell spirits at that location. With a store so large and a name that says MORE they just don't live up to their name. Super Disappointing. My advice is stay away unless you are looking for wine. read more
