My new go-to spot for beer, wine, liquor AND cigars! Total Wine has for some time been a victim in my eyes of its name and signage. The Hulen Street location does not face the street, so all I have seen while passing it was the "Total Wine" name and a grape bunch logo. I had assumed the store was a wine boutique, and pretty much put it out of my mind. Then an associate at work who overheard me criticizing my assistant's taste in beer ("Really?? Would you drink Coors Light if it had no alcohol?? Just because it tastes good??") suggested I give them a try. I did, and now there is no looking back. First off, well-stocked walk-in humidor with cigars priced about 3$ below going rates per-cigar. Saves me an extra trip to the cigar store AND saves me money! A beer section that rivals any store I have been to. Liquor at cut rate prices. And a wine selection second to none. It was hard for me to see any downside on my first visit. They also sell mixers, craft sodas, bar glassware, you name it - and all at amazing prices! And their staff were both eager and knowledgeable, and made some excellent recommendations for me. So don't make my mistake and pass this store buy thinking they are some one-trick pony. Drop in to Total Wine and get some great drinks at some great prices!! read more

So. Much. Wine! I don't drink wine but luckily they have a large selection of whiskey and craft beer! I like Total Wines over Specs just because the layout is nicer. Specs is to Walmart as Total Wines is to Target (in my opinion at least). Its just a big warehouse full of booze! As you walk in its like going to Costco or Sam's on the weekends but instead of old ladies serving you samples of food, they are serving you samples of alcohol!! Their whiskey selection is top notch. I found everything from moonshine to local craft distilleries. I would say everything is probably 10%-20% cheaper than other, smaller liquor stores. They also sell a lot of mircobrews which I love. Total Wine is certainly the best place to come for wine, both cheap and expensive. I am a bit of a self-proclaimed wine snob and Total Wine has one of the best selections I have ever seen. The staff members are also well trained and know a great deal about wine from domestic and international regions. One of the sales associates helped me pick out a great merlot. I will definitely be coming back for wine in the future even though it is a little bit of a hike from where I live. There is also a large selection of beer, liquor, mixers, and glasses so it is not just for wine snobs like me! ;) read more

First time in the store. Located in Ft Worth off Hulen just S if I-30. Was looking for Bourbon that I hadn't tried. The manager offered several great choices and a couple of tastings as well. We walked out with Oregon Spirit Rye & Redemption Bourbon. Both solid choices at decent pricing. Looking forward to a return trip. read more

Great Selection - Great Prices - Awesome Help This store has almost everything and it is almost impossible to find anything you are looking for because of the sheer volume of the merchandise. Thank god for the awesome staff that not only is helpful, but knows all of the info on the products in store... plus these guys know their wine. Wine to the left, wine to the right... wine everywhere... from Spain, France, Argentina, USA, etc etc... Cab, Merlot, Zin, Meritage, OMG they have everything... Wow! wine and beer overload- that's a good thing though! I have never been in store with such a large selection of wine! I thought Goody Goody was great until I visited Total Wine. The prices were great as well as the samples that were around each corner. I have found a new favorite beverage stop! Oh, and it looks like there is wine bar in the back of the store. We go to Total Wines in Alliance often but WIth COVID have not been there this past year. We decided to try curbside service today. Placed the order and it was ready early. I drove 40 minutes to pick it up. They came out and put what I thought was my order in the back. Well that was wrong. They put beer in the back and left 7 bottles of wine in the store. Of course I couldn't see in my trunk until I got home. I am now done with Total. Oh and the can't cancel the order so you call customer care. They charge.my card immediately but it takes them 7-10 to refund my money. Are you kidding me read more

Great selection, but poor customer service. Had to hunt down an employee willing to help. I pointed out to the manager that some of their signage was wrong. He stated "I can't do anything about it, that is decided at corporate" and "maybe the supplier changed it at canning". Wow, an amazing selection of wines! The prices were reasonable and the employees were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We came in looking for ingredients to make sangria but didn't have our recipe and one of the employees found a recipe, printed it out and helped us find all the wines we needed. We were also looking for a variety of different wines that we had not tried before and they helped us find some good ones in the price range we wanted. More than a liquor store. If Central Market & WineStyles or Winslows had a love child, it would be Total Wines! The best deals are midweek so shop before the weekend! Although even then it's not gonna break the bank. They offer various group classes and tastings once or twice a month to enhance knowledge at a reasonably low fee. Best part you can try different venders & winery's available in house WEEKLY Thursday-Saturday before 6! Literally bridging the gap between you, the vine and everything in between! You will fall in love with this place! The selection is amazing, including beers from around the world, although it can be overwhelming, the staff is not only knowledgable but very willing to help! **Bonus tip** Running late for a date or holiday party?!? Want to pick up some bubbly or a nice white for your host or guests? They even have a chilling station for you before you leave! 3 minutes and it's ready to serve! Very BAD EXPERIENCE with them and I WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. The manager Jordan and cashier by the name of Bella was very very unprofessional on May 25,2019. I went to check out and because of the way I look and the height of my friend Bella decided to cal for "Id check" on the mic when me and my friend are OF AGE. They were feeling on the id's as if they were fake and Bella act as if she couldn't judge whether or not we were 21 or over so she decided to call her manager and had us sitting in the line for over 10 minutes and when I question the policy she said she HAD to call him so he could put something in the computer but she was lying and called because she felt we were under age and buying liquor! He was rude and kept looking us up and down and not saying anything and I question him and walked away not caring that he had to upset customers demanding answers! Needless to say, I'm OVER 21 and I've NEVERRRRR had an issue with purchasing alcohol before with Specs or any other business. I will not be back and I'll make sure to tell everyone I know about the experience and the people they have working for them! You lost me as a customer ! GET BETTER STAFF AND CASHIER'S who know how to judge instead of calling their manager to do their job for them! RIDICULOUS AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! We were just treated like thieves in the night at this location. A lady came to us while we were browsing the store and asked for all of our ID'S and stated that they had just been advised that they are doing stings and she needed to check all of our ID'S, let me say that it made us feel embarrassed,ashamed,and lile we didn't belong in the store. I was celebrating my 40th bday and she put a damper on it. We were all so upset about that. Can somebody please tell me if that was the proper thing for her to do? We left out without buying anything because we just was to upset to stay and patronize the store after that. read more

As always this is a great place to shop for wine and spirits. I prefer this location to the Dallas store because it seems like they offer more Syrah skus over Dallas. Likewise, the staff is tip top and offer more expertise compared with my visits to the Dallas store. Now there is one in Lewisville. No more driving to Dallas...yeah ! read more

1st of all they either ignore you or follow you around like you are going to steal. 2nd they wine people are not very knowledgeable unless it is one of their labels. 3rd a lot of people claim this place has a great selection of wine. But the customer with a discerning eye will notice that every wine is in 3 different places on the shelf and has 3 or 4 rows. it's all spread out to give the illusion of a great selection. Total Wine is a typical big box retail with a wide selection of alcoholic beverages of all price points. There are always employees walking around asking if you need help locating a particular item. Be careful when you get to the checkout counter, they only give the 10% discount on 6 bottles with a price ending with a certain number. I think prices that end in #7 are excluded (like $29.97). This leads to great confusion at checkout. Second, the checkout clerks are not efficient at giving the 10% discount. Three times I have been there and literally had to go back in the store and request the 10% discount because it wasn't rung up. The clerk makes an excuse (she's tired, busy, pre-occupied) and I get my discount. This last time I told her specifically, "if one of these 6 bottles doesn't qualify for the discount, let me know." Of course she didn't and no, I didn't get the discount, and yes, I figured it out once I looked at my receipt in the car. :{ The second disappointment I have is that they have a beautiful bar in the center of the store and I have NEVER seen tastings being offered. News flash: the store would sell a lot more wine if you let customers taste the product. Oh well. I'll continue to go back because they have the best selection of wines available in Fort Worth although Central Market and Specs are good also. Check it out; good luck! read more

His knowledge of the other similar selections made me feel very confident in my purchases. A nice guy in the vodka isle showed me the new Esmé vodka line they are peddling. TOTAL disappointment... Whiskey selection has dropped off, no select Bourbons in their case, wanted to but multiple of a beer and was only allowed a single 12 oz bottle because 'there's not much to sell'- what happened to first come? Apparently my money is no longer good here, which is exceptionally sad as I regularly recommend ppl here from my work and but a lot of wine monthly here. Time to look elsewhere, poor service- even got the shoulder shrug that there was nothing they could do. read more

Really upset to say because I really did like this place before I went a month ago. My boyfriend and I ran an errand for my mom to get some wine! I told her all about total wine and how great it is and left to go and get the alcohol. As soon as I got there there was a crowd coming in with me and an older woman looks at my boyfriend and I and frowns. I needed to know where this alcohol is and proceeded to ask her and she cuts me off saying "Where is your ID?!" I pulled it out and showed her and then she looks at my boyfriend and asks him to show his ID. He didn't have his so she told us we both had to leave because he looked like he could be my baby brother! Excuse me? This was my boyfriend, and that comment was not necessary. So she goes to the automatic doors and YANKS them open and tells us to leave. It was SOO humiliating I was infuriated. My boyfriend got his ID and we went back to get the alcohol. There wasn't a place for a while so that's why I went back here to get it. I walk in and she's no where in sight and I ask a man where this alcohol is. He shows us and we walk to it. A man comes over to us and asks us for our ID and says I'm sure you know what I'm here for! So we show him and try not to be bothered by it. Then he says next time bring your ID and we won't have to go through this problem. We just hold our tongue and try to just get out the store! Then when we get to the counter they ask for both of our ID's again and what's crazy is she only scanned his ID. Acting like he would bring in a fake ID she only checks HIS to see if it's fake. Then a woman manager comes over and checks it AGAIN. And at that point I said "I will definitely be talking to HR about this" I am really upset because there were young people of other races coming in the store just as we were and as friendly as I was she as well as other associates decided to humiliate us. The way she yanked the door open was not necessary. I really used to like this place but I will never be back if they don't appreciate the service of ALL RACES! read more

I'm promise I'm not going to wiiiinnneeeeeee about it. I will say this place has a great selection of wines. I also noticed they had a small walk in humidor that of course the guys had to check out. The cigar selection was a 3 star. The boys really enjoy their cigars and we drive to Keller just for cigars. The samples offered every few aisles was a nice treat. ;) I noticed they have wine and beer tastings offered on certain days. I enjoy tastings. We definitely will be back when in the area. read more

Great selection of wine and spirits...but pay attention at cash register. Some of the bottle bar codes don't "read"...so the staff looks it up and tries to punch in a way higher price (on a higher grade of wine for the bottle you want). Seems a little sketchy. Total Wine has been my favorite place to buy beer (IPA) for its good selection and good service. Recently I have become more attuned to beer dates. I looked in the refrigerated section yesterday for three of my favorite beers. Two were old (4+ months) and one was oldish (3+ months). None were ideal (under 2 months). I am now concerned about the beer turnover there. read more

I like any place that I walk in and they hand me a beer! Free sample of one of the summer ales I was wanting to try started off my first trip to Total Wine right. Everyone was friendly, and I had more than one person ask if I needed help, so that was nice. They had a huge selection, but I was looking for a particular thing. Though I was a little late in the season I wanted to try the Woodchuck seasonal spring hard cider. I was thinking a "wine" place probably wouldn't have it, but I hadn't found it at any of the other liquor stores nearby so I thought might as well look. The store is well organized and well lit. In just a quick once around I found the cider! I was happy as I picked it up, until I saw the summer version next to it! Man, if only I could try them both!! ......Then I looked up! SINGLES, and with a handy "make your own six pack" carrier. Yes, this I like. I got to try not only the spring and summer hard ciders but some of the seasonal beers too boot. Awesome. read more
