PARKING SUPER HEROES WORK HERE. NO PROFESSIONAL SALES PEOPLE OR WINE EXPERTS HERE Been coming in here ever since I can remember, 5 years for sure, every single weekend. Came here to get a few bottles for a get together as usual and parked in the section that has the pick up section completely unintentional. After parking, I had a phone call to take which probably didn't take 5 minutes. Started walking out and one of the employees comes out asking if I have a pick up. For which I did not understand at first so he asks again and I tell him I don't have one. Mind you, there was plenty of parking lots in this huge deserted parking. He tells me I need to move In this unpleasing way, there are other ways of approaching this whole situation. You don't have to bark behind a mask for something that was done unintentionally. I guess real hero's are right here, at your local Total Wine store. Drove out of the parking lot and left. I don't need to leave my money where I'm not welcomed. Next time, try being nicer to people, sparky. You don't know what's going on in my life or how my day went or what the case is. Even If it was a mistake "customer is always right" just to keep the business professional. You sir, made it look like I blocked the entrance to the entire store for some silly parking. No wonder why these employees can never find anything you ask them and later find it yourself. read more

After searching everywhere for a specific flavor of martinelli (apple-mango) I was finally able to find out at this store. Mind you, I drove from Salem just to get this flavor. Nothing in the front of the store said that anyone under 21 couldn't enter, not was there anyone at the door preventing us from walking in. After finding the martinelli and going to check out, they tell us that we cant be in the store if we are under 21 & my sister who is 23 couldn't buy the martinelli for us because we were in the store with her. We ask if she can still buy if we leave the store & they say "not today" and "Go check Winco" ??? First of all, I've checked everywhere for this flavor. Second of all, its martinelli! Not even alcoholic in the slightest, so why did it make a difference whether my sister bought it today or tomorrow. Shes still gonna give me the martinelli because it is NOT alcoholic. Pretty stupid, they should have clearer signs next time & not refuse service for something that anyone should be able to buy. read more

Horrible customer service. Been going here for years. I'm medical exempt from wearing a mask and have shopped with no mask here before with no problem but today was asked to leave for not being able to wear one. They don't respect their long time customers. Very, very sad. This is still America people. You can't force people to wear anything who CANT! I was social distancing myself from everyone as well. Really like the selection of beers and go here regularly. Note that nothing is refrigerated so if you're chilling whatever you get, it will need some time in your fridge for that. They do have some issues keeping certain beers and liquor in stock, and their website isn't much help. They also charge a delivery fee on top of their delivery fee, which is ridiculous and keeps me from using the service. We've had two deliveries, the last one was a friendly woman but the first was some guy who acted like he was upset that he had to do his job. read more

It's kinda scary how much the employees here seem to like their jobs. Total Wine and More is a giant among booze shops, think BevMo with slightly higher prices and way more helpful employees. Here you will find lots of wine, lots and lots of wine actually, plus just about every other type of liquour you could want. You can taste test the wines if you like and it's not just the liquids that they carry, but pretty much everything you might need to put on a booze show. Highball sets, shot glasses, martini rigs, and everything a boozologist would need for an evening with friends. Housed in a warehouse of a building, Total Wine has plenty of room for you to clink along through the aisles, with all the liquours laid out in a logical order making it easy to find just about anything you're looking for. I wasn't in the store for more than a few minutes before an employee approached me asking if I was finding everything I was looking for, I wasn't (I know little about wine and just needed some local grapes for a dinner party I was attending). The employee took me around various aisles showing me different local wines (there are a lot actually) and eventually helped me find the bottles I ended up buying. Even though Total Wine is about the size of the average BevMo, it's a much nicer place to buy booze, with a much more helpful staff. I will be back, and not just because I have a problem. read more

As someone who grew up in a pretty fancy neighborhood in inner SE PDX I have always looked down on Vancouver. Like if you're from Camas and try to tell people you're from Portland I will 100% call you out on it. Same goes for Aloha or surrounding areas. But Total Wine really made me rethink crossing state lines to go to Portland's "lesser" cousin. Firstly, Total Wine is truly an impressive and amazing experience. This is truly an immersive experience. I was heading to a dinner and trying to impress my hosts, for background one of them travelled internationally many many times a year and was a huge Japanese whiskey fan. The other works in the liquor business so she is extremely well versed in spirits. I was blown away by the selection of Japanese whiskeys. Also, shoutout to Wes and Joel who are extremely well versed and were able to really walk me through the flavor profile of the whiskey I was eyeing. They were so friendly and welcoming I had to do a double take, because I thought I was at olive garden because they treated me like I was family. Should you ever need anything alcohol related I cannot recommend total wine enough. Seriously, give Wes and Joel a raise or some pizza or gift cards Total Wine corporate. Those dudes really knocked it out of the park in terms of service and taste. 10/10 would return even though it's in Vancouver. read more

We buy our kegs here and were always treated like our business was appreciated. Tonight my wife were out and in the area of the store. We had two empty kegs to swap out. It was approximately 9:46pm. I was in good spirts and jokingly said to the man at the register, I think I will make a habit of carrying two kegs wherever I go. The man scowled at me. "Nice time to bring back kegs." I didn't react and said "I am only buying one." That enflamed him even more. He angrily said "you are buying one?!!" Then he let out a big sigh as if we ruined his night and we should be sorry for it. I honestly couldn't process that he was actually pissed off. I was in a happy mood when I walked in the door 30 seconds prior. He scowled again and said: "I am up here alone and closing out and its five minutes to closing BUDDY and you want a keg and I have to get the book and yadda yadda." I said: "its only 9:45 and I didn't think it was such a major job to sell a keg." He scowled again at me as he really was pissed. I said: "well you don't have to treat me like shit." I was blown away by this angry greeting. I didn't need him to do anything, I went off and got the hand truck and brought out the keg myself in all of 30 seconds. Coming back, I happened to walk past another employee and I said. "I never was treated this way in my entire life. The guy up front is pissed that I am buying a keg." The employee said something like "oh boy," as if he knew exactly whom I was referring to. I just kept walking as I was in that state where all you want to do is leave; but you have to go round two with the person that just dumped his grief on you. I had $60.00 deposit due back and I don't get to this side of town often, so I could not just walk out. I arrived at the register 15 seconds later and other employees were already at the register. I don't know if my comment was radioed around or if the rude employee realized he just talked crap to a customer that wasn't going to let it slide and radioed for help. Upon my arrival with others looking, he was polite as a kid on his first day trying to impress his boss. I was not a happy customer and could not wait to get out of the building. Another young man took the keg to the car with my wife as I had to sign a paper. He loaded it before I was out the door. We all have to work for a living. We all have our bad days. I don't want the guy to be fired, but he needs customer service training or to be placed in work that does not involve dealing with customers. Don't put anyone at the front counter that thinks there is ever a second in their time on the clock where he or she can take out their anger and frustration on your customers. We are in our 60's and we both started out life working difficult blue collar jobs. We would never have dreamed of talking down to or showing anger to a customer. We both really like Total Wine and the service has always been great. I won't name the man and we hope he gets the training he needs. We are not about punishment as it only leads to more anger and even worse outcomes. We were at home at 10:05 and we live 15 minutes away. I think we spent a total of five to seven minutes in the store. I am sure all can be confirmed on you security cameras. Our Friday night is shot. I got the keg up the stairs and put it in the kegerator. We wanted a cold beer, but I just spent 30min writing this and my wife went to bed. Great start of the weekend. read more

My sister and I were wanting to buy a nice bottle of whisky for our brother, but had no idea where to start. He gave us wonderful suggestions and even a backstory on the whiskey so we could tell him a little bit about our purchase! Thank you so much Dave for your help! Went in to buy a celebratory bottle of champagne for moving to a new place. It was around 15 minutes to close, Had the worst salesman I've ever had to deal with. I asked if they had Dom Perignon, he told us Dom Perignon doesn't make vintage years, which is actually the opposite, they ONLY make vintage years. He said he saw Dom Perignon at Fred Meyer close to there, which confirmed that he was full of $hit. So I just said thank you in hopes that he would get away from us because he clearly just wanted us to leave to they could go home early. Store could've easily made a few hundred bucks off me today, but the BS has made me permanently look elsewhere for my cocktails. read more

Came in today planning to put together a craft beer tasting event for my son's 21st birthday today and left without making a purchase. I arrived at 11:05 and walked back and forth up the craft beer aisle (clearly lost) for 35 minutes without being greeted or asked if I need assistance, which I really did. I gave up and am going to BevMo. It's important to remember that customers have choices and make them based on how they're treated by store staff. read more

A friend of mine turned me on to this place...and now I love it. They have a huge selection of everything and the recommended spirits never disappoint. My wife laughs at me because the minute we finish a bottle of anything, I am quick to say, "Oh, it's time to go to total wine." Total Wine & More isn't cheap, but it is large. Which means there's something for everyone no matter the type of drinker you are. Basically, the prices are ok and it's wine and much much more. You don't have to be a functioning alcoholic or booze bully to enjoy a visit to Total Wine & More; however, honestly, it won't hurt If alcohol plays a significant role in your life. Finding the right whiskey, vodka, tequila, rum, gin, or other spirit is part of the fun of visiting a mega-liquor store like this. It's less about the price and more about the hunt regardless if it is for a winning wine, bodacious beer, or humble hooch. Besides the obvious variety available at all Total Wine & More, this location impressed me with staff who actually seemed to enjoy their jobs and helping find just the right intoxicant for my mood. First of all, if I could give this place a lower rating, I would. This establishment doesn't even deserve a 1 star. We drove 40 minutes from lower portland to get mead for Christmas as this is the only place with a decent selection. As we approached the check stand we were asked for our ID, no problem. My gf and I both show our ids with no issues but our friend, a 32 year old Marine veteran, who hitched a ride with us because of the distance, forgot her ID. Because she forgot her ID, we ALL could not get what we came for. The law in Washington does not state anywhere that we legally are supposed to be denied a purchase just because someone doesn't have their ID. The manager, who was not in any way professional or courteous, didn't give us a chance to get the ID from the car or anything, he just threw a little power temper tantrum and denied us service. I've spent over a 1000 dollars in the last 4 months at this store, and they will NEVER get my business ever again. read more

I really dig this place. They have it all and then some. Wether you're looking for mini shots, craft beers or something different. They have it and then some... I said that already. We got a lot of the mini alcohol bottles for a party and we came across some ciders we had in Europe. I was so excited to find them since not a lot of other places carry them. Drove from out of state to get something from a brand that isn't sold in my state. I called before leaving to confirm that it was, in fact, in stock, and that the trip would be worth it. Store was clean and well stocked, and I found the item with ease (it was exactly where the website said it would be on the aisle). "Manager" refused to sell to me because I "looked under 30" and wouldn't even look at my ID when I tried to hand it to him or scan it to verify it. Went across town to another store who scanned my ID with no problem. I'm almost 24, so of course I look under 30, but my ID is valid and shouldn't have been a problem even if it was from another state. I'm not normally one to write reviews or complain but it was such a strange and disappointing experience. I'm just glad that I was able to obtain the item elsewhere. read more

Oh my God I am in a state of shock sitting outside the place right now it may be close because I showed up late I live in Oregon and I have been shopping for liquor for I don't know over 15 years or something like that and I never knew about this place of course I know it's new but there's no place like this in Oregon the biggest downfall and thumbs down is that I am live in Oregon and I have to pay tax but seriously I have never seen so many different kinds of wines and especially liquor since that's what I'm here for is liquor I've shopped out almost every liquor store probably in Oregon and seriously I have never seen the amount of different types of liquors selections I will say there is a huge huge price difference so if you live in Oregon definitely shop for Oregon stuff there because I get this ginger liquor that is completely amazing in Oregon and a fifth cost me about 20 bucks well I don't know what they call it here it's in a weird bottle it's less than a fifth it is more than a pint and it cost 35 bucks so you get less than a fifth for $15 more of the same ginger Lacore I'm talking about but as far as everything else they even have like the tequila with the worm the Mezcal they don't have that stuff in Oregon I mean I've ordered it online basically it's probably every liquor store in Oregon put together and Washington and then add some online stores to it and then that's what this store is literally the Disneyland Disney World Costco of liquor and wine I highly recommend it the guy was very nice I showed up late I had 10 minutes and he even help me and didn't make a big deal like a lot of other liquor stores would. Probably thinking like come on dude to come here last second and he help me and treated me like a human being with no attitude and I highly appreciate that it's hard to come by these days especially I'm looking pretty rough right now LOL but they only have like one or two ginger liquors available commercially through the liquor stores in Oregon and they literally had four different kinds here I was completely shocked I had never seen that plus they also had some coconut rum's that were like high-end like not the Malibu stuff I was really shocked so that's why am writing this huge novel here because this place is worth it I will be back and I can't wait to come back and actually gays and look at everything not to mention I did say it was like Costco while they have all types of tastings as well free samples tons of different size options and Unlike Oregon they are very limited so thank you for taking the time to read this review I tried to make it in test is much as I could to show the appreciation! read more

Although it was VERY busy, because of the holiday season and it being the weekend, every employee we came in contact with were so very pleasant and extremely helpful.
