The staff is equally phenomenal. From the front desk to the dental assistants and hygienists, the entire office is welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. The women at the front desk are engaging and organized, and the clinical staff is thorough, gentle, and professional. It honestly feels like a dream team. I have had several services done here including cleanings, a crown, and a cavity filling, and I have zero complaints. I never felt pressured to do anything. I already knew what I wanted to prioritize, such as replacing older silver fillings with white ones, and the approach was always collaborative and respectful. They remember me when I come in, their technology is very up to date, and the ability to text the office makes everything so convenient. The entire experience feels modern, personal, and well run. Don't let this deter you because they have payment options available and they offer a set price for a cleaning/x-rays and it's reasonable. Don't let this deter you because good dental care is so very important and preventative care will save so much $$ down the road. In closing, the office is so comfortable and the staff will go out of their way to make it a stress-free experience. The technology is state of the art. I was wowed by their equipment. I even got a chance to play with the touch screen that displayed the results of my bite exam (for a night guard). It was really cool! Unfortunately, the experience with the Waldorf office staff was the opposite. From the beginning, the staff repeatedly told me that my insurance would not cover the exam and tried to push me to pay out of pocket. When I attempted to pay, their card machine was not working. I agreed to pay over the phone later since I did not have my physical card with me and usually use Apple Pay. I was also told that the procedure I needed would not be covered by my insurance. When I left, I was given what I thought was my receipt. Shortly after, the receptionist called and informed me that she had accidentally given me another patient's receipt that contained all of their personally identifiable information. We agreed she would come by my home to pick it up and provide me with the correct receipt since she lived close by. I was told the fee would be waived because of the inconvenience. However, that same fee was later processed and paid by my insurance company -- the same fee the office said would not be covered. Afterward, I called my insurance company about the other procedure and learned that it is actually covered at 50%. When I called the dental office back to ask them to submit it for pre-approval, the receptionist was adamant that she was not submitting anything to the insurance and insisted that I get confirmation in writing from my insurance first, as if submitting a claim would cost the office something. Dr. Smith himself was great, but the front office experience was frustrating, inaccurate regarding insurance coverage, and concerning given the mishandling of another patient's personal information.

As other people have mentioned, I truly appreciate that Dr. Sisel performs only the procedures that are needed and none other. He does not evaluate his patients as billing opportunities and 'find' work that isn't going to benefit the patient, but only his pocketbook. On my last visit he mentioned to me that other dentists in the area are providing services that are marginally beneficial at best. Dr. Sisel doesn't do this. I remain an appreciative patient.

I was about to leave to serve overseas and needed relief from the TMJ pain fast. Dr. Rogers sent me for an MRI to a specific place that was the only one that could get the images right. That should have been my red flag but I was looking for a relief so overlooked that. Dr. Rogers then interpreted the results for me and told me my disks in the jaw joints fell out and only an appliance that would not be covered by insurance could help me but that was not certain and I still might need surgery. I paid $1,500 out of pocket for an appliance and left for overseas. Within days I learned the appliance made my pain much worse so I had to go back to my normal night guard and pain killers. Then someone suggested acupuncture and I have been TMJ pain free since. I am sorry I wasted so much money for a poor advice.

When I got there the hygienist was super negative and got even more negative when I told her I was happy with my teeth and smile. She claimed my lower front teeth were loose and I needed a deep cleaning. I asked about my basic cleaning, she said my dental care was so good there was nothing to clean off my teeth. So why would I want to pay these people for deep cleaning? It boggles the mind. I brush and floss twice a day, oil pull and use a Waterpik so I knew the hygienist was lying. When the dentist came she hunted in my mouth found 2 amalgam fillings, looked super disappointed and declared those fillings needed to be removed, even though they weren't giving me any problems. She claimed that I needed a root canal and 2 crowns. They attempted to schedule me as quickly as possible. Smelling a rat, I declined. My insurance would have paid for the cleaning and root canal. I would have had to pay $1500 out of pocket for just 1 unnecessary crown and they were trying to sell me on 2 crowns. Mind you, all I'd wanted was a regular cleaning--and didn't even want the full mouth X-rays and the panoramic X-ray they'd insisted on taking despite me telling them I'd already had those taken 7 months ago. What these "clinicians" didn't know is that I was a dental assistant years ago to a Japanese general dentist in Ann Arbor, MI. He was one of the top dentists in Michigan and probably the country. I learned to prioritize my dental care. Need proof? Look at my pictures. Moreover, I have been told by previous dentists that my teeth were the perfect opalescence, dental hygiene is in the top percentile and my kid's orthodontist said I have a great smile and don't need braces. So why would I want to pay these people to introduce problems into my oral cavity? It boggles the mind. Oh and even though the dental office has a display sign offering $10 Starbucks gift card for Yelp reviews, their reviews are still atrocious. I will not be back.

His staff is incredibly friendly and has really positive attitudes, and I actually enjoy my time getting my teeth cleaned. (WHAT?!) My first visit there was a survey to fill out, which was great if going to the dentist actually freaked me out (which it doesn't) and I am sure it's helpful for his team making sure clients/patients have a positive experience. This past year Dr. Abdeen helped me get started with invisilign, and I am loving how straight my teeth are! When I first got invisilign he helped me or talked me through when my mouth or teeth felt weird. It took some getting used to, and he didn't mind when I called and asked questions and made sure to schedule me a slot of time if I wanted to stop in and have him take a look. My teeth feel clean when I have my semi annual cleanings, anything that needs to have an eye kept on it he makes note of, and then checks when I am back 6 months later. I'm really glad I found such a great Dentist and team to help keep my mouth happy and clean.
