This is by far the best dentist office I've been to. Every single time I come here, everyone is so nice, I never have to wait very long to be seen, and they make the entire cleaning process as easy and gentle as possible. Even scheduling/rescheduling appointments has been so easy with them. I've never felt judged or anything at this office either (as I could definitely be better about flossing!). I called this dental office because of my insurance at the time. I specifically told them I wanted a regular cleaning. I told them I'd seen a dentist September last year and no issues. When I got there the hygienist was super negative and got even more negative when I told her I was happy with my teeth and smile. She claimed my lower front teeth were loose and I needed a deep cleaning. I asked about my basic cleaning, she said my dental care was so good there was nothing to clean off my teeth. So why would I want to pay these people for deep cleaning? It boggles the mind. I brush and floss twice a day, oil pull and use a Waterpik so I knew the hygienist was lying. When the dentist came she hunted in my mouth found 2 amalgam fillings, looked super disappointed and declared those fillings needed to be removed, even though they weren't giving me any problems. She claimed that I needed a root canal and 2 crowns. They attempted to schedule me as quickly as possible. Smelling a rat, I declined. My insurance would have paid for the cleaning and root canal. I would have had to pay $1500 out of pocket for just 1 unnecessary crown and they were trying to sell me on 2 crowns. Mind you, all I'd wanted was a regular cleaning--and didn't even want the full mouth X-rays and the panoramic X-ray they'd insisted on taking despite me telling them I'd already had those taken 7 months ago. What these "clinicians" didn't know is that I was a dental assistant years ago to a Japanese general dentist in Ann Arbor, MI. He was one of the top dentists in Michigan and probably the country. I learned to prioritize my dental care. Need proof? Look at my pictures. Moreover, I have been told by previous dentists that my teeth were the perfect opalescence, dental hygiene is in the top percentile and my kid's orthodontist said I have a great smile and don't need braces. So why would I want to pay these people to introduce problems into my oral cavity? It boggles the mind. Oh and even though the dental office has a display sign offering $10 Starbucks gift card for Yelp reviews, their reviews are still atrocious. I will not be back. read more

Ugh, do not go to this dentist. I went there once and thought the dentist was terrible. He came in for five minutes and barely talked to me before deciding what thousands of dollars of treatment I needed. I left feeling horrible and not at all confident in the diagnosis. I went for a second opinion and pursued a different course of treatment with a different dentist, and everything is great now. Then apparently I owed money (not a ton, under $100) for my one visit, and instead of billing me directly they sent me out to collection. Then when I paid the collection agency they sent me to, a month later, I got billed again. They're going to be getting a very angry call from me tomorrow. I was a patient for several years and made the decision this year to find a different dentist. Dr. Babiec has always been a "rough diamond," but the quality of the care was pretty good, they take insurance, and it was pretty convenient. However, my last two visits was so bad that I am finally motivated to go elsewhere. The following things happened: 1) Although I have sensitive teeth, which I discussed with the hygenist, he still tried to pressure me to get my teeth whitened. This is objectively unnecessary and they knew about the procedure making my sensitivity worse. 2) At one visit, I was told I had to fill out a survey about sleep apnea, which I do not have. The survey was long and asked for a lot of personal information. I got partway through and decided not to finish. Again, I was pressured to finish it because "the dentist wants you to." 3) I had to wait twenty minutes between the cleaning being finished and the dentist being free to look at my teeth. He was in a procedure and they "didn't want to bother him," so instead they chose to make me sit in the chair. 4) At my last visit, I purposely did not make a follow up appointment as I knew I wanted to switch. When making his own appointment, my husband told me they had made an appointment for me, without my knowledge or consent. I agree with others who say the office has gone downhill fast. This place sucks. I think these dentists are crooks. I've spent over $2,500 out of pocket (my insurance covered the rest). After spending all that money what do I get? Nothing. My teeth are still bothering me and I feel that I'll have to goto another dentist to redo everything. The only reason this place gets a single star is the staff is friendly. If I could give zero stars, I would. The staff is wonderful, professional, and friendly. Dr. Miller is a crook. He sells, sells, and then sells some more and tries to lecture you and sound condescending even when you claim you cannot afford $10,000 for dental implants. His response: You should want to have a $10,000 smile. Additionally, their finance person, Julie Seaton, is unprofessional and temperamental. She hides behind a phone all day and doesn't offer assistance when asking for explanations. This dental place billed me for Dr. Miller's services, who wasn't on my insurance coverage, when another dentist performed the services, because they could recover more money from my insurance afterwards which charges me more. We have been taking our two year old daughter to Bradlee Dental for the past year. I have NEVER been talked to in such an offensive manner as a parent. The dentist's "bed-side manner" is appalling. The way in which he talks to parents and discusses valid dental concerns is unnecessarily abrasive and will make you want to punch him in the face even though he has sound advice. Oh my! I made a HUGE mistake when I initially reviewed this place. I learned my lesson not to review until after a few visits... After my first visit, the subsequent ones declined until it hit rock bottom. Honestly, the only reason I was a patient here for six months was because they made a good decision to not have me encounter Dr. Babiec. Although the overall operation here was mediocre at best, five minutes of contact with this man was the deciding factor to run as far as possible from this place. First I'll start with the office management. Although nice, they are completely incompetent when it comes to canceling appointments. Every single one I canceled, they always called me the day of and asked why I didn't show up. One time I made an appointment to get two fillings, and when I arrived they gave me a cleaning instead (didn't mind but not the point). Also when I did have a standing appointment, half the time they would change the time on me (without notice) or completely lose the appointment all together. Also, watch out for what they charge you for. They push a fluoride treatment on you after they give you a cleaning, and then charge you $33 for it saying insurance doesn't cover it. I later looked at my statement (from the insurance company) and they in fact do reimburse the dental office. As it's so little money and I can't imagine this place does well financially, I just dismissed it. If this place stands the slightest chance to succeed, they need reorganize their office management for sure. As for Dr. Babiec... This man has NO BUSINESS dealing with patients... At all. He is completely sarcastic, abrasive and unprofessional. He definitely failed Bedside Manner 101. Within the first 5 minutes of meeting him, he ridiculed me for having a cross bite and even managed to insult my family lineage due to the fact that my top and bottom teeth aren't symmetrical. He subsequently bullied me into a braces consultation. As a former military person, I was used to less than satisfactory dentists (in terms of poor bedside manner). With that said, I soon realized I pay good money for quality dental insurance and I don't have to put up with this BS. He is not the only dentist in town and frankly, I have no idea how this place stays in business. I think I have a pretty thick skin, however every single second with this man made me feel so uncomfortable. I would definitely say he bites the hand that feeds him. I had the misfortune of living near this office and giving this place the benefit-of-the-doubt, but you don't have to. I guarantee ANY other dentist within a 5 mile radius is better than coming here. The only reason why I give this place 2 stars is because of the hygienists and assistants. They are friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Honestly, they were the only pleasant part of my visits. FRAUDULENT PRACTICES I just got a call today from Bradlee Dental saying I owed over $1,000 for a procedure done last May. Oddly, last I spoke with them I was told they were going to resubmit the claim to my insurance, and if I didn't hear anything I was good. Like, another reviewer, I had also been visiting another dentist for years until he retired. In the many years with my last dentist scaling was never recommended or mentioned. I was apprehensive, but thought it was possible because I was told pregnancy is harsh on your teeth. Lame, but okay, I went along with it. Bradlee Dental strongly suggested I get three fillings and scaling last year. I was told my insurance pre-approved each procedure - which my insurance company said today Bradlee Dental never called for pre-approval, and the worst part, after the "necessary" procedure was done my insurance denied the claim, not because it isn't covered as Bonnie said today (because my insurance absolutely covers it 'IF' necessary); however, it was denied because the supporting documents Bradlee Dental submitted to my insurance company didn't support scaling -- it wasn't necessary. The icing on the cake, I got a call from Bradlee Dental today, I believe the lady's name is Bonnie - she's the new sheriff in town because, well, she states the previous staff didn't do their job, but yet I'm responsible for their lack of follow-up when I was told they would re-submit. She was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional about the entire situation. She claimed the dentist would never perform a procedure that wasn't necessary...AND she claimed I intentionally skipped out on them without paying even after I explained to her the last I spoke to them they were re-submitting the claim to my insurance company. Anyway, I reached back out to my insurance company today after learning I owe $1k, and was told they sent a letter to Bradlee Dental back in December 2016 asking for additional information to support the procedure, and additionally extended the right to appeal for a third party review. Guess what?! Bradlee Dental never followed-up with them which makes me questioned if the scaling was necessary. The most craziest experience with a dental office...stay far away! read more

I come from the school of thought that you should trust all of your medical professionals. I will never make that mistake AGAIN! I started seeing Dr. Babiec in 2011 where he convinced me that I needed to get my four canine teeth rebuilt with crowns ($4500 at a minimum) and get my teeth straightened with Invisalign (another $500 minmum). So I began my journey down the worst and most painful experiences in my life. After 3 years I have ended up with the following results. 1. First set of crowns were yellow. Every time he drilled on my teeth he NEVER numbed me properly where I literally was crying from the pain of the drill. 2. Found out that he never was using Invisalign for straightening my teeth, but a cheaper alternative that ended up making my teeth more crooked and cause my gums to recede from my teeth. 3. I have been in constant pain for the last 3 years because he also wrecked my bite, where every time I eat I crank my teeth together. Also when I talk I can for a while my teeth will start to ache because I am hitting them together. 4. Finally after complaining enough I forced him to put in another set of crowns, where again I was crying in his chair. Of course the second set didn't match my took color. What was his reply when I asked "Why?" He said they will never match and I should let him replace another 4 teeth. Needless to say I RAN OUT OF THERE!!!!! A week later I went to a real dentist who informed me that I needed to get all of the work that Dr. Babiec did on my teeth redone, and showed me in detail where Dr. Babiec did not properly put the crowns on my teeth, and where he left cement in my mouth that was cutting up into my gums. I am finally on the road to recovery with the best two dentists in the world (yes it is taking TWO DENTISTS to repair all of the damages that Dr. Babiec did.) Since I have been seeing the two other dentists I have had a total of 5 visits where they have had to drill on my teeth and work on repairing my gums. I have had yet to feel any pain during the procedures, and every time I have left their offices I feel my teeth finally getting prettier! The only thing nice I can say about Dr. Babiec's office is that he has a wonderful dental assistant named Reggie, who would always hold my hand when I was crying in the chair while Dr. Babiec was working on my teeth. Today I was charged (without any notice via phone call, mail, email) almost $300 on my Discover Card for a procedure done back in MARCH. When I called, they said my insurance didn't cover some of the procedure, and that one if the 15+ pages you sign as a new customer says they can do this for payment due. Ridiculous! I was in the chair 10 minutes max, 8 MONTHS ago, and today they charge me without notice. In addition, it was the same exact procedure (which WAS covered by my dental insurance in February), yet they charged hundreds more for, hence going over my annual insurance maximum. One star for the person that cleaned my teeth... she did a good job. Everything else here sucks. The first time I came here, I used the online appointment system to get my first appointment and when I showed up they said they never received my request (even though I had a confirmation email). I had to have two fillings, which were put in and caused me pain later on. They hadn't done them right the first time, so I had to go in for an adjustment. Occasionally they still bother me. The icing on the cake was the billing. When I checked out, I specifically asked what I owed, because I thought I had a deductible. They asked for a percentage of the cost, which I paid on debit card, and they waved me on. 6 months later I keep getting calls saying I have an outstanding balance, so do I want to pay right now on the phone with credit card. How sketchy is that? I never received a bill from these people... I get medical billing is a procedure, and you might owe more later. But after asking for a second bill to be sent (to review the charges), I never received one and actually called them asking for a bill. Today I asked for one to be faxed to work....if I don't receive one I'm going to file a BBB complaint. read more

I have been seeing Dr. B for just over a year. He has been awesome. I had a crown that needed replacement and unfortunately this meant pulling my front tooth. He designed a new temporary tooth for me that was so perfect no one can tell that it is not real. Lena, has been amazing, she is very knowledgeable and patient. Everyone there really takes the time to get to know you and keeps up with what's going on with you outside of your dental needs. They are like family. They are a very warm group of people. I have never had to wait long for my appointment and the doctors have always been kind. The office staff have been professional and have always responded promptly to my questions or concerns and they have been very understanding when I had to cancel and reschedule appointments. I recently moved to the area and picked Bradlee dental because it was so convenient to my home. I should have done more research. The dentist told me that I needed 3 fillings and I was very skeptical about that diagnosis because I had had an appointment 6 month earlier with my old dentist and he said my teeth were perfect. I have healthy teeth and I doubted that 3 cavities could develop in 6 months. My husband had an appointment the same day, and he was also told that he needed 3 fillings. Now I was VERY suspicious. We made an appointment with a well-reviewed and recommended dentist. I went for my first appointment yesterday and SHOCKER! He said that my teeth were perfect--no cavities. As the earlier reviews here suggest, this guy seems to be running a scam and billing everyone for unnecessary procedures. I would stay FAR away. I'm shocked he hasn't lost his license. read more

I have never had such an unpleasant dental experience as I have at Bradlee Dental Care over the last few years. Other than the very friendly, kind, professional hygenists, I cannot think of anything that I like about the place. I agree with the others who noted the extreme pushiness of the dentists who "strongly encourage" expensive, unnecessary dental procedures and threaten dental disaster otherwise. Incidentally, this advice goes against any other dental advice I have had from other reputable dentists through the years (who all rave about my healthy teeth!). I also found Dr. Babiec to be rude, condescending, arrogant, and generally unpleasant. When I switched to Dr. Miller to see if he was any better, I purposely scheduled my appointment with him at a time he would be in the office. He didn't bother to show for the appointment. I would have appreciated a phone call. Further, the office space itself is hardly professional. I'm accustomed to private rooms (similar to a doctor's office) but instead found the cubicles sadly lacking in privacy. I was pretty shocked when asked, in the public atmosphere, about medicines I was taking. When I responded that I was not on anything, I was asked specifically (again, in front of anyone listening!) whether I was on birth control pills. I can think of about 10 other ways to solicit this information without violating patient privacy. I have been dragging my feet for years about going through the hassle of getting a new dentist. It was only in the search for a better experience that I noticed all the negative reviews about this practice. I wish I had known about Yelp when I first went to Dr. Babiec... it would have saved me a lot of aggravation! read more

I'm not going to reveal who I am (because I'm still a current patient of this practice), however I have read A LOT of reviews about Bradlee Dental Care over the past few days on the internet and they all seem to have one thing in common..."Dr. Miller" is the only one receiving all the negative reviews! Dr. Babiac is getting nothing but positive ones! And here I thought it was just me...it seems Dr. Miller is indeed a form of a con artist and ripping people off. The stories I've read on these sites are basically carbon copy stories that I experienced myself with him. He's very nice when you first meet him but once he has you in his grip he goes for the GOLD. Took me for 30K and then insisted I needed an additional 100K worth of work done (yet before the work started I was quoted a totally different price for EVERYTHING-about 30K for EVERYTHING!) Now, here I sit with tons of temps in my mouth that need to be replaced with permament ones and no money to pay for it! I stress day in and day out because I don't know what is going to happen to my teeth because of all of this, it's very upsetting, I guess I'm going to have to go to the dental clinic to see if they can provide some kind of help for me because I can't afford this. I am flat broke now! My last interaction with him that I had several months ago he was very rude to me, condecending and insulting, and made me feel like crap because I have no money. I was so embarrassed I wanted to just get up out of his chair and run out of the office and never look back...I was almost in tears just sitting there I was so humiliated! About a year or so ago I was told by one of the staff members there (confidentially of course), that one of the girls who works there can't stand Dr. Miller and I couldn't understand why...he was always so nice. Well, NOW I KNOW WHY! You know a Dr. is bad when members of his own staff can't stand him! These days it's almost terrifying to go to the dentist anymore because you are scared to death you are going to get taken to the cleaners! People would rather let their dental care just go south, people can't afford this Dr. Miller, you should be ashamed of yourself! Do everyone a favor and retire already, would you? P.S. I have been trying to confirm my appointments, on email, since August. No matter what or how I sent, the emails did not get answered even though all of the emails that I sent from April through May and June were aok in every way. Finally, I had to find time to call and, when on the phone, I asked for an email to confirm all the details of the appointment ( please ). No email came. Then, after some more miscommunication, I canceled all appointments and was told that, yes. There are no appointments for me at all. THEN, two weeks later, I got another CALL to "confirm an appointment". THEN, I had to have a long PHONE conversation to explain that there is. no. appointment. at. all. THEN, I got ANOTHER call for, yet another, fictitious, appointment. Then, I went through the site and had a long and polite and clear conversation with whom ever manages the site and it was confirmed that there were NO appointments for me in the near or far future on any week or day or log book AND that I prefer to have email communication and not phone calls. This was 2.5 weeks ago. Today, I got another phone call about another appointment. Dr. Babiec is a great dentist and I have been very happy with all that he does for over 15 years but his, new, office staff is awful and, either they are incompetent or messing with me on purpose. I attended a dental appointment at Bradlee Dental Care this Monday, 15 July 2019. My appointment was scheduled for 12:00. At 12:25 I asked the secretary when my 12:00 would happen. She contacted a tech and immediately moved me to a dental chair. The tech went through all tech preparation motions including application of an anesthetic stick to my gums in preparation for a needle. The tech then gave me a suction line and told me to apply it until the dentist arrived. I was left on my on for fifteen minutes until I removed the suction device, anesthetic stick and left the dental office. I lost one and a half hours of work on this totally unprofessional dental treatment experience. This is a classic situation where fly by night dentists put patients in a waiting line so they can bag as much business as possible. I explained this to them that I would no tolerate this treatment. Springfield Complete Dentistry did this to me also. Buyer be ware. DO NOT FALL victim to this UNPROFESSIONAL DENTAL CARE. It's a total waste of time and money. read more

The front desk called me earlier today for the first time in over 2 years since I've been going there and said that I've an unpaid amount more than 500$ and she told me that it was a courtesy call and they will send it to collections if I don't make payments in 30days. I've been going there for periodic cleanups and I've asked and paid what ever was due on me before leaving there everytime. Infact they've even told me that I had to pay upfront every time and they don't do credits or anything like that. The lady who called was so disrespectful and bad tempered that she couldn't even give me answers when I tried to ask for explanation. She said she don't know why they didn't ask me for the payment they claimed when i was going there all this time and jumped direct into threatning me with collection to hide whatever they messed up. Very unprofessional front desk who don't know what they are doing. The others stuffs were okay as far as cleaning up and all. Never again. False advertising, rude dentist and near con-job to push procedures which weren't necessary. Came in for "new patient" special to have teeth cleaning, dental exam with x-rays. Then when it came to pay, was told the discount didn't apply because spouse and I allegedly needed a "deep cleaning" for over $1,000 each that could be scheduled in multiple visits. One hygienist was nice, the other wasn't and actually told me she performed a "deep cleaning" which wasn't any different than any routine and much cheaper teeth cleaning I've ever had over the decades. Next, the dentist said I should have the amalgam fillings removed from two teeth because they had hairline cracks. Then I learned from other dentists that it is normal to have hairline cracks in those old silver amalgam. Had he removed and replaced those amalgam as offered, it could have required root canals on those two teeth costing thousands of $$$. To convince me, dentist showed me pictures of other people's teeth with extremely cracked amalgam and rotting teeth. When I pointed out those weren't my teeth, he became very irritated and raised his voice to lecture me. Though I suspected a sales/con job, their on-line e-mail distro seemed to confirm it by urging patients to "use or lose" insurance benefits in an effort to drum up business. Since somebody pays those bills, it's not free. Perhaps this is one reason why the US health care system is so broken? read more

I did my regular cleaning in Nov and I feel really good about the job the hygienist did. At the end I was told that I had two teeth need deep cleaning and I just need to pay $79 from my own pocket for that. I returned to the office one week later for the "deep" cleaning but that was a mistake. After the hygienist got it done, I did not really feel anything "deep" but just "a kick in the teeth." I feel like I paid $79 just for the word "deep." However, it was not over yet. Weeks later I got a bill for $26 showing $3 billing charge and $23 other charge. After talking to the office manager I was told the $3 was charged just because I refused to give them my credit card information at the very beginning. The $23 was not covered by my insurance. Strangely enough, the $23 balance was not showed in the bill but only a number at the bottom. The bill doesn't have a column for balance so you have no way to know what it is about. While the office manager wouldn't tell me I had to call my insurance company to find out. I was told that there is a $25 charge for "oral hygiene instruction" which was defined as "teaching how to clean and floss your teeth" and not covered by insurance. Insurance paid for others including antibiotic used for $77. I don't know whether the antibiotic was used but I only remembered I was just told flossing my teeth every day that I have been doing for decades. It was that one sentence from the hygienist charged for $25, much more expensive than a Harvard professor. Explanation and instruction are supposed part of the office visit but they want you to pay extra. I feel the billing procedure of this office is a sham because: 1) Signing the agreement and giving them your credit card information that will allow them to charge you for whatever cost they invented. 2) No balance column on the bill so they don't have to show you what the balance is about. 3) They don't want to tell you the real amount of charge but only an acceptable number, even though the real amount of charge just a phone call away to the insurance company. That is just my personal experience. I paid two visits to the office but I didn't even see the doctor and it is the hygienist told me what I should do. I was transferred to this dentist when my dentist of 18 years ended his lease and ultimately retired. I had stayed with my previous dentist for so long because of the small office and personable experience. When I went in for my first appointment at Bradlee I was VERY unimpressed. It is NOT a small office or a personable experience -- more like a sweat shop with a huge waiting room and rows and rows of dental chairs in the back. They could not even find my records so I had my cleaning done without. Afterwards they they did NOT schedule my next cleaning and said they would call to follow up...and then never did. I called 9 months later to schedule my appointment. However, upon learning my dentist had retired and my hygienist had left the practice, I decided to change to my husband's dentist. I sent in an email from their website requesting my records be transferred. I didn't hear back so after four days I called to follow up. They said they could not find the email and asked that I re-send. So I re-sent. They sent over the records, but it was just pages and pages of notes taken from my dentist and hygienist. No x-rays. I asked that they send my x-rays and they responded four days later that they did not have any x-rays from my former dentist's office. As a transferred patient, you'd think that all my records/x-rays would be transferred. This is unacceptable and I'm terribly unhappy with my experience at Bradlee Dental. I had my teeth cleaned by Suzanne a few weeks ago. I went back in for something else to find out she was no longer there. Don't worry though, a little research on Facebook and I found her. We are in luck too! Suzanne is working, you just have to send her a message and she will get back to you with where she works. No offense to Bradlee dental but Suzanne was the whole reason I went there for all these years. Oh right, Suzanne's last name is Main, she won't mind she was so happy when I contacted her. read more

Dr. Babiec is an experienced and a very good family dentist. Dr. Babiec has been caring for my teeth since 2010 to present. Throughout the years, I have had several procedures done from crowns to teeth bonding and routine cleaning. I have to say that I am happy with Dr. Babiec service. For whatever reason if the procedure didn't go right the first time, Dr. Babiec and his dental assistant will try their hardest to fix the problems until you're completely satisfied and the problems are fixed. Also, Dr. Babiec has the best dental hygienist in the area. Dr. Babiec is professional, he gets to the point of the matters and because of his direct talk, it may come across to some people that he is rude, and is not been sensitive enough. Other office personnel are courteous, pleasant, and helpful. It is easy to make appointment with Dr. Babiec, his office location and parking are convenient as well. Yes, I plan to remain a patient at Dr. Babiec's office What I liked best about the Bradlee Dental Care? Good service and affordable fees. What I like least about the Bradlee Dental Care? Better dental lamps. Dental lamps that don't produce so much heat to your face. Also, need to be more organized with the tools. read more

I'm very surprised by the negative reviews. My experience with Dr. B. was excellent. I ended up having over $7k worth of work done to get my front teeth in shape for my upcoming wedding. I checked with other dentists before coming to Bradlee and found Dr. B's approach to my particular issue, mixing crown with veneers, to be what I needed and the prices generally better than the previous estimates form other dentist offices. The work was done exceptionally well and I now have the confidence to smile more in the last month since the work was completed than in the last year. I shopped around, did my homework and found Bradlee to be the best option for me. Most of the expense was out of pocket. I was very impressed and pleasently surprised with the results - even more so when the staff stopped me on the way out after my last visit for a free adjustment to let me know I had a $135 refund coming. Overall great staff! Everyone is very nice and you can usually get right in for an appointment if necessary. I've had a lot of dental work done here and they have always been gentle and efficient. read more
