Wow, I love this dental office. Dr. Abdeen and his team is amazing, and I've been going there for over a year now. His staff is incredibly friendly and has really positive attitudes, and I actually enjoy my time getting my teeth cleaned. (WHAT?!) My first visit there was a survey to fill out, which was great if going to the dentist actually freaked me out (which it doesn't) and I am sure it's helpful for his team making sure clients/patients have a positive experience. This past year Dr. Abdeen helped me get started with invisilign, and I am loving how straight my teeth are! When I first got invisilign he helped me or talked me through when my mouth or teeth felt weird. It took some getting used to, and he didn't mind when I called and asked questions and made sure to schedule me a slot of time if I wanted to stop in and have him take a look. My teeth feel clean when I have my semi annual cleanings, anything that needs to have an eye kept on it he makes note of, and then checks when I am back 6 months later. I'm really glad I found such a great Dentist and team to help keep my mouth happy and clean. I went to see Dr. Yim for a crown to be put on after I had a root canal in another place. was terrified and didn't want to go back. the temporary crown fell out four times. when the permanent one finally came in a week later it didn't even fit. so they had to put another temporary crown on which fell out again. went the next day to get another one put on and surprise, it fell off that Friday night. called on Monday and they said they could put another temporary crown on and I said why? don't can fall out again? never ever will go here again. all the pain and my mouth is still uncomfortable a few weeks later. I used to hate going to the dentist with a passion, but now I actually enjoy going and looking forward to my cleanings/treatment and it's because Dr. Hightower and all her staff are amazing! At one point the company I work for didn't have the insurance that Ambiance accepted but because I love seeing Dr. Hightower I paid out of pocket to continue to see her! Also, note Dr. Hightower has terrific bedside manners and very clear but graceful with what you need looked at, improved, and treated, etc. She also gives great recommendations and very easy to talk to, super professional and also very friendly all at the same time! I'm very disappointed. I went in for a cleaning and I knew by the time I got called back that it would be my last visit because I heard the receptionist and the hygienist talking poorly about another patient among other things. I decided to go ahead with the cleaning because I've had cleanings consistently since I was child and thought it would be impossible to mess one up. I was wrong. I've had numerous cleanings but this one didn't feel right. I've never had a toothache in my life but after having a cleaning here I can't chew on one side of my mouth, my gum is sore and super sensitive to cold. I thought she must have just been heavy handed and it would go away but this has lasted way past the time of that. I really regret going here it saddens me that this may be permanent damage. Also, the side that is irritated was not recommended as a problem area during the screening. read more

Was told I had more than 5 cavities and given an estimate for hundreds of dollars. I agreed to have a couple of them filled and made an appointment to return for the rest. Before my next appointment I had another dental appointment for a work clearance at a different dentist who told me I have no cavities based on pano and bite wing X-rays. Take that for what you will. Let me just start off by saying, I was very afraid and EMBARRASSED to go to the dentist. I "yelped" for a good hour before I finally decided to try Dr. Abdeen out. Best decision I ever made! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Mr. Abdeen himself! I never had that happen before. They reassured me they weren't there to judge me. He wasted no time trying to fix the problem! That same day, I got the work done that I needed. He said he wanted that to be my dentist home, and I will definitely be back! And I can't forget to mention the wonderful staff! Biggest regret of my life was agreeing to the services recommended by this dentist. I needed a new local dentist so tried this place based on reviews. I really like the office and the staff was friendly. I've had some smaller "starter" cavities that my past dentists have been watching for the past couple of years but have never wanted or needed to fill. My first visit the dentist said you have 12 cavities and I want to fill them all so that you don't have to worry about them anymore. I told him that other dentists didn't want to fill them and he said something that sounded convincing about how they will eventually need to be filled so I could get it out of the way. My dumb self listened and I regret it so bad. First of all, I have very bad tooth sensitivity now on multiple teeth and it's been 7 months since I had them filled. Can't chew anything hard on one side of my mouth. Also, they estimated it would be $400 out of pocket, which I paid up front. I ended up being $600 out of pocket total and I have good dental insurance so clearly he just recommended way more stuff be done than is normal. I hate this place and I so wish I could go back and make a different decision. Tl;dr- doc recommended 12 fillings of tiny cavities at once and I stupidly agreed and ended up with terrible tooth sensitivity and a $600 out of pocket bill. read more

Wow!! Admittedly, it had been a while since I've been to the dentist, so there was a lot of anxiety associated with making this appointment. I chose Dr. Abdeen mainly because online scheduling. The office is convenient for me as well, an added bonus. I received many reminders and my anxiety grew. When I showed up early for my appointment I was greeted by friendly faces with positive attitudes. Chyenne felt like my personal cheerleader as she helped keep me calm through the cleaning. When I met Dr. Abdeen, he listened to what I thought was wrong, asked some probing questions and he was off doing the exam. He found baby cavities (2) and took photos so I could see them as well. I'd heard stories about dentists that create imaginary cavities to collect, but that absolutely was not the case here! Everything went right, place was colorful and bright, Dr. Abdeen's technique even made it so I didn't feel the needle's initial poke when applying the Novocain. Was my first time as he is new in town but I have never had a resident Dentist I always hopped around for location convenience to work but I will now go out of my way if I have to as this is now the home to my teeth. Beautiful, clean, professional office. The dentist is a complete saint and gentle man. I was scheduled for an appointment and the office wasn't even open yet?? However he came into the office early and apologized lead myself and husband inside offered us water or tea. Another patient was there however he use to be Dr. Abdeen's patient in another location. I was recommended to Dr Moutaz Abdeen by my friend had a lot of issue in my tooth ,in pain ,couldn't eat ,my tooth needed a major root canal and a crown I wend to different Dr before him everybody said it was a difficult one because of the location of the tooth ,plus I had an artificial valve so I have to be pre medicated before any dentil work ,and this tooth needed like 7to 8 sessions . I felt very comfortable when I meet Dr Abdeeb ,his clinic is very clean , his staff very professional . I had a consultation with him ,he felt very confident with my case . Gave me an appointment for 2 days later . What I can say about dr Abdeen he is the one and only that I will ever recommend ,I didn't feel the anesthesia shot he did to num my gum ,it took him 2 sessions even it was a very difficult tooth ,but what I saw the whole time he was only working on my tooth not like other Doctor they have 5 other patient in the other room while working on a difficult case . Dr Moutaz Abdeen did an excellent job even after that hard work he did and pulling the root canal I went on with my day didn't need to take any pain killer after the work. Just was pre medicated with antibiotic and after with antibiotic for my artificial valve . And you should see the finishing job the crown and the bridge looks like my real teeth . Dr. Moutaz Abdeen does excellent service when it comes to dentistry and going the extra mile in customer care. I have come to him a couple times with pain in my molars but also the top of teeth. I needed a extraction and the doctor was willing to work and figure out plans that helped me for the now. Today i was in pain with the top of my left incisor and found out I needed a root canal, the xray was fast and easy and he pulled me into his office to discuss a plan that can easily work for me. I recommend if you are close or have to make the drive you come to his office for the best care. read more

Absolute WORST dental experience. EVER. I came to this dentist for a root canal. I have Medicaid & this is one of the few offices in the area that accepts it. About a month & a half after the procedure, I woke up one day & the tooth was cracked. I'd been following the instructions not to eat on that side of my mouth without a crown (to the extent that the other side of my mouth started hurting) so Idk what happened. It was the weekend so this office wasn't open & I felt it was an emergency so I looked for low income emergency dentists. I found one (who ultimately couldn't do the extraction) but told me even without a crown the tooth should've lasted longer than a month and a half PERIOD. Those professionals told me that meant this doctor's procedure had FAILED. I called the doctor crying and he made accusations that I had done something wrong - "no YOU failed," he said. Then he called me back for another appt during which he offered to extract the tooth at no cost, which had me crying some more. He did an exam & found that he could save the tooth by doing a crown lengthening procedure. I'm optimistic again so I'm like okay, let's go ahead & schedule the extractions you mentioned I needed during our initial eval as well, which he originally quoted me an out of pocket cost of $6,000+ for all the work that needed to be done which later, come to find out was bc his office didn't submit ANY preauthorizations to my insurance to see what they would cover. They ended up covering all four extractions - including one impacted tooth - so we scheduled an appt. During that appointment the doctor extracted the top 2 teeth then moved on to the bottom impacted tooth. He was yanking at my jaw so much that I just kept asking for more numbing - we had to have done like 10 shots of it. Eventually I heard him say, "this is taking too long" to his assistant and stopped. He told me, "I'm going to write you a referral to an oral surgeon and suture you up... your bone is really healthy and strong, I TRIED, but I couldn't do it. But I TRIED". TRIED. He left half the root in my mouth which causes MORE PAIN than when I had the whole impacted tooth in there! I found 3 in network oral surgeons but bc I am 25 they would not accept my Medicaid. When I did speak to those oral surgeons they were ALL DUMBFOUNDED - why would a dentist that is not an oral surgeon attempt to extract an impacted tooth? WHY? I again called him crying & his response to me was "I tried". THEN after having already written a referral to an oral surgeon and expressing the URGENCY of me making the appointment to remove the rest of the tooth, he went on to suggest I didn't need to remove it at all. He said, "your body over time will eventually push the root out, though it may take several years". My jaw hurts, my teeth hurt, my neck hurts, my shoulder hurts. & You want me to wait several years. During today's appointment, I described all of this pain to him and he told me it was all normal. I was trying to wait until he finished the crown to share this, (because I've already paid for it and don't know if anything he's done is refundable), but today was the LAST STRAW. Today he told his UGLY ASS front desk lady to write me a 'scrip for pain medicine & make my appointment for the crown. I've discussed with everyone there SEVERAL times that I am allergic to ibuprofen and similar, (they make my chest hurt so bad). I can only take Tylenol which is what they've been prescribing. This bitch said to me, "you're asking me for narcotics, I'm not giving you narcotics". Then she wrote me a prescription for motrin which IS IBUPROPHEN! I asked to speak to the doctor, she went & said something to him and I heard him say, "I'm not giving her narcotics". As if to imply that I am going out of my way to get drugs from them when all I wanted to do is manage the PAIN THEY CAUSED. I was baffled. The whole experience was HUMILIATING. I felt shame, I felt angry, but mostly importantly I FEEL the PAIN of this dentist's mistakes. PLURAL. I had a few fillings and all my wisdom teeth removed, the procedure went very smooth and extracted out my wisdom teethh in the matter of minutes, he is very careful and steady with his hands. Let me start out by saying this is the first dentist I've been too where the bite wing x rays weren't uncomfortable or hurtful for me! Not to mention that the staff were extremely kind and helpful. I'm writing this review on behalf of my mom and dad, Ellis and Betty. They are both in their eighties and they live nearby in a retirement community. They began seeing Dr. Abdeen about 6 months ago. Dad needed some extensive work that required implants and new dentures and mom needed regular check-ups, cleanings and some crowns. From the first appointment they were treated like royalty. Dr. Abdeen has been extremely kind, patient and gracious. He devised a workable plan at a reasonable price for my dad's complicated problem that he has been able to complete with success and with almost no pain. He explained everything in great detail to my dad and me to make sure we understood the process. The staff is also excellent and highly skilled. They could not be more courteous and friendly to my parents. Theresa, the receptionist, meets them at the front door when they come to make sure they get into the office safely. She makes every effort to get them the appointments on the days and times when they want them. The office is cheerful and relaxed. Parking is easy. What's not to like?
