My favorite dentist office for general dentistry! We've been going here regularly for our check ups and care for about 5 years. Dr. Kim and staff always take their time to explain everything thoroughly and are very considerate of pain levels, sensitivities, convenience, etc. during any treatment process. I've been going to Blessed Smiles for several years, but recently (over the past 1-2 years) they've gone downhill. The dentists are great, but the hygienists are curt and borderline rude, which I've never encountered at any other dentist's office. They do an acceptable job cleaning my teeth, but I've had one actively unpleasant hygienist, and the others are just sullen. It's also gotten much harder to get an appointment there without waiting for weeks and weeks. Have never had any billing issue or administrative issue, their front desk seems to run well. read more

I LOVE this dental office! Myself, my husband and our son all go here for all things dental related. They are beyond friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The dentists are always sweet and calming and I loved my dental hygienist from my visit recently. I believe her name is Priscilla. I've had multiple procedures done (yay pregnancy cavities) and they worked with me and eased my dental anxiety. I've also received multiple night guards and Dr. Kim worked with me till we got it right. Dr Yang has also checked my teeth and my sons and it's always a pleasure to see him. This is by far the best dental group I have EVER been to. My wife Judy and I have been coming to see them for about 10 years. They are patient obsessed from when you come in to when you leave. All of the dentists and Hygienists take so much personal care of everyone and everyone is treated with respect. Initially it started off as a great visit, I arrived for my appointment a little late and the front desk receptionist were very nice and understanding. Immediately I started paperwork when I got there and my wait wasn't long at all to be seen. The young lady that cleaned my teeth was very professional and nice, she explained things to me as she cleaned including all her findings. I love this because I hadn't been in so long so it was nice to know what was going on before I had to wait for the dentist. The dentist was a amazing, she was very polite and friendly- her priority was my comfort and that is awesome. Now you're wondering why my rating was so low.. the young lady that was responsible for checking me out gave me a bill of $700 for my fillings.. and that's with insurance. When we were in the room I remember her telling me about five cavities max that needed to be taken care of, I go to the checkout counter and she got 11 CAVITIES LISTED. NEVER was i told that many in the room, she said it was a lot to watch but not "extract". Of course this wasn't the girls fault and she handled the situation well, but regardless I was told different info then what was communicated and it really upset me. I was walking out of the office in tears because as a student it's extremely frustrating to hear one thing and the outcome be different.. especially when it comes to things involving money. After being called by Dr. Kim (office manager), I was very relieved. She corrected the mistake and helped me to understand it was the young ladies first day and she wasn't aware on how to analyze medical billing to patients yet. She also reassured me that my case was very simple and I don't have much to worry about it as long as I upkeep proper treatment. I contemplated leaving a review before. I just can't in good faith not speak up. I was fine with the cleaning and the treatment by the staff for the general cleaning. At the end I felt like they were trying to sell me things or bill a lot. I have never had 9 cavities as they tried to tell me. And 3 lost fillings on top of that? It would equal about$600. They showed me the X-rays where they said the cavities were, but I didn't see anything unusual. I went back to my old dentist which is 3 hours away had a totally new exam with X-rays and was told my teeth look good. No cavities or lost fillings. I had been going to my previous dentist over 25 years. I had moved and wanted to find a closer one. I was also told I needed special toothpaste which was $25. I freaked out when they said I had all those cavities and needed this special toothpaste. I felt like I was worried over nothing and the discrepancy in findings was too much. read more

I never leave reviews but Dr. Chyn is amazing. I got my wisdom teeth removed and my original dentist would not take into account I was experiencing throbbing pains in my jaw after surgery and would say "take Ibuprofen you'll be fine". Dr. Chyn went above and beyond to listen to my situation and relate to it. She was very responsive and seemed determined to help me and actually seemed to care about her patients. Nonetheless, she prescribed me something stronger and it eased my pain! Also, the front desk and vibe of the office is very friendly. Really appreciated my visit here. read more

I made a Yelp account just to write a review for this place, they were that good. I, like most other people have a completely irrational fear of the dentist but finally plucked up the courage to make an appointment here based on the reviews and I couldn't be happier to have found this place. From start to finish they were friendly, compassionate, caring and patient, from the front desk to the hygienist to the doctor. I have a fear of needles and they also took their time to explain all the different processes available for me to make the experience a more comfortable one, even including conscious sedation which is something I've never been offered at a dentist before! They had Netflix playing on a TV right in your seat and Alexa on hand to play whatever music I wanted. I had a kanker sore on my lip and they also offered me laser treatment on the spot for this at a very affordable price and again were wonderful at explaining the process and ensuring I knew all costs and what to expect before hand. I can't say that I'm excited to go back for my procedures however I know that I'm in good hands and will be taken care of. Thank you Blessed Smiles! I went to this dentist for a minor tooth infection. After consulting with Dr. Chyn I was told there were two options: wait to see if the infection clears - which could be risky in theory, or have the tooth extracted and replaced. I chose replacement because of what she said about the potential risks. I asked how much all of this was going to cost, and I was quoted about $2000. The day the tooth was extracted I was charged about $1000, so I expected the replacement to be the other $1000. When I returned in six months for a follow-up assessment, I was told the actual tooth replacement would be another $4000. Dr. Chyn said there must have been a miscommunication, but I had a perfectly good recollection of the event, and the cost had been misrepresented. She didn't seem to understand why I don't have $4000 (I put the original amount on my credit card). She seems to think I can just come up with the money, because as she put it, "this is your tooth we're talking about". Months later she offered to refer me to a colleague who would do the procedure for $3200. Unfortunately I don't have $3200 any more than I have $4000. I asked if this could be done abroad for far less money, but she advised against that - concerned my tooth replacement would eventually fall out or I'd suffer complications. The brother of one of my close friends is a dentist, and according to him this is a routine sleight-of-hand in dentistry. Apparently, the patient is more likely to spend the extra money once the tooth is actually gone - but the cost has to be carefully miscommunicated. Maybe this is routine, maybe it isn't, I really don't know. I just know I don't have my tooth because of this. You may have a different experience here, but leave no ambiguities regarding cost. read more

I've been going to this office for over a year now, and finally decided to leave a review. I really don't like going to the dentist (who does?) But the team at Blessed Smiles goes above and beyond. They greet me warmly at the door, they have all the proper precautions in place during COVID times, and my hygienist is quite possibly the sweetest human alive. Even though I only see her every six months, she remembers everything I've told her about myself since my last visit. She is super gentle and makes me feel at ease in her chair. The dentist is also really nice. He always has a smile on his face and is very reassuring to me as he does his exam ("are you okay?" "Can I ask you to..."). Great place. Old dentist said I had 3 cavities and said I would be dead of a blood infection in 6 months if I did not fix them. That was more than 5 years ago and still kicking. Blessed Smiles was honest and said zero cavities. Honest, updated equipment, and professional. They even have hygienist. That is how you know they care about their patients. I just realized I've been going here for a few years and never wrote a review. Everyone here is very nice, answers all my questions, and are very prompt. The dentists recommended just watching a small spot on a tooth for at least a couple years. It eventually became bigger and the last dentist I saw recommended a filling. The entire procedure took 10 minutes, was painless, and my cheek/mouth didn't feel fat and gross after. I highly recommend this practice. read more
