Applause Productions provided ceremony, cocktail/dinner and dancing DJ services (5 hours total and set up two hours before) at a great price. They have an online PayPal payment system which made it easy pay our deposit and then final total. They arrived on time (two hours before our ceremony start time) to set up with sound, lights and a disco ball. Cole, our DJ, was nicely dressed, professional and very friendly to work with. I was able to chat with him about what I wanted and he accommodated our request to play straight from our pre-provided song list, which isn't their norm as they usually go off of a genre/style of your choosing and pick the songs themselves. If you are doing DIY and choosing between iPod playlists versus a DJ, one thing I will say is that the DJ almost acts as a wedding coordinator to make sure the ceremony songs go smoothly and play at the right time and that announcements are made like dinner, last call for food, first dances, cutting the cake, etc. For us this was a huge plus. At the end of the night Cole and his helper even helped us move a few things as we were cleaning up and made sure to ask if we needed anything else, how the day was for us, etc. I would highly recommend Cole and Applause Productions.

It wasn't until the day after that I was made aware of everything that transpired because my family and vendors tried keeping it under wraps to keep me calm so I could enjoy my day. Per my groomsmen, he was yelling at his wife during set up of the DJ equipment. I had messaged him the Wednesday before my wedding to let him know I needed to keep a timeline that my photographer/videographer needed so I could get the footage I wanted for my wedding. He never responded and kept with his timeline without consulting with me. When the photographer asked what was going on he yelled at her, pointed his finger in her face and had my sweet videographer in tears. It was all recorded and I watched it the following day. Instead of coming to me and my husband he decided to continue with his timeline and harass my vendors. I am disgusted with the fact that my vendors did not feel safe at my wedding and feel awful for them. The owner of my venue also said he was rude until he had realized that he was the owner. Personally, if I had to do it all over again I would have chosen a different DJ for my day. I had no idea what was going on with the timeline and was very stressed since I was prepared for the timeline my photographer/videographers had set and figured that was not going to change since I didn't receive a response from him after telling him the timeline that we needed. I hate to leave negative reviews for companies, but I would hate for this same incident to happen to another bride and groom on a day that is suppose to be the happiest day of their lives.

Our videographer, Judd, was professional, talented, and took the time to connect with my husband and I before our ceremony. We loved his artistic ability to incorporate the important details of our wedding into our highlight video; we felt that he really listened to us and what we wanted. The finished product was great; very professional, cleanly edited, and something that we will cherish forever. However, there were some slight communication problems in the weeks leading up to our wedding and the turnover time wasn't clearly explained beforehand (we waited 4 months for our 3 1/2 minute video, almost twice the amount of time we were initially told it would take.) We also were confused about the editing process and what exactly constituted as our "final edit." While ultimately our edit requests were met, I felt like I was being annoying by asking. Not a feeling you want when you've spent thousands of dollars on a service. All of these things were very minor though and we would still highly recommend them. All in all we're VERY happy and LOVE our video! If there were a way to give 1/2 stars, this would be 4 1/2 for sure!

My husband and I always say we had the most fun ever at our own wedding which is pretty cool, and it was mostly because of the DJ! It had been raining and flooding in many places but the day before, Steve went to the ceremony site and took pictures and sent them to us via email so we could see if the park would be dry enough for the ceremony all of his own accord. He was right on point and in tune with the music we wanted and met and assisted us every step of the process.
