Just took them to another shop and they were able to swap them out. Lastly, their tune-ups literally take weeks to complete. How is that even possible?! Really cute store setup, but honestly, complete airheads fixing bikes who actually know nothing. I might as well try to fix my bike instead. Go somewhere else on Colfax to get bike repair services. While browsing the Lake Cycling website, I was directed, based on my zip code, to Tri Bella as a recommended retailer. When I arrived, the front door didn't open, so I had to use a side entrance, which led directly into the mechanic area. I stood there unsure if I should walk further in or wait. After a while, one of the mechanics (a tall guy) asked what I needed. I explained I was looking for wide road cycling shoes, and he suggested the Lake brand. I said that sounded great and asked if I could see some in person. He told me they didn't have any in stock but could order them. I explained that I preferred to try them on before purchasing especially since I could easily order them online myself, and the Lake website already provides detailed information. At that point, another mechanic, who had been listening to the conversation, chimed in and said, "Maybe Lake shoes are not for you." That comment, combined with the confusing entrance and overall unwelcoming experience, made for a very poor first impression. As someone who owns several bikes and is passionate about cycling, I expected a more helpful and professional approach. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be returning.

I was definitely impressed with the guitar pedals that they keep in stock. Really appreciate the ability to check out some uncommon stuff that I have been interested in potentially adding to my pedal board. Would not recommend…read more I dropped my bike off 6 weeks ago and knew it was time for the dropper post to be rebuilt which they confirmed. I was told they'd get it rebuilt then contact me when it was ready. I didn't hear anything back and when I reached out yesterday that's the first time they tried to fix it saying they could send it off to be done locally. What were they doing the past 6 weeks?? I can't imagine relying on this place to services bike in riding season with any sense of confidence. While they blamed it on Fox for warranty issues, the first they asked about what year it was to see if it was recall eligible was yesterday, so it clearly was sitting there for 6 weeks collecting dust. Tried to keep business at a small shop, but very disappointed. Picked up my bike and will take my business elsewhere.

I recently got a board wax and my edges sharpened at Denver Bike and Ski Repair. My board was flying down the hill the other day, and I could hear the edges really digging in to the snow. They are truly "sharp," and the shop even filled in a couple of dings on the bottom of the board. Given the work quality and price point, you can't go wrong here!

When I got my bike…read morelooked at, I booked a "Learn and Repair" which is where you take your bike in for a 40 minute appointment for any repair where they will talk you through what they are doing and then provide a suggested price. I highly recommend checking this out for the fair pricing, getting your bike repaired by either an employee there or a volunteer with supervision, and learning how to fix that issue in the future. The mechanics class was very informative and the instructor was accommodating as well as knowledgeable. It is a bit pricey at $300, but it is worth it in my opinion since taking your bike in to a mechanic for every issue can become very expensive very quick. They also have very affordable bikes, equipment such as tubes and locks, and a used parts shop. I highly recommend Bikes Together for your affordable bike needs!
